      Entirely possible that was intentional.
      However
As a storywriter myself I gotta admit, not everything is deliberate with some deeper meaning.
Sometimes when I tell a story, the blue curtains aren't some metaphor for my sad depressed existence, they're just fucking blue because I described them that way, and my own blues were just a coincidence.

Morgan is now a dnd npc in my campaign as an entire encounter, the party decided Morgan was too dangerous to be left alive and spent an entire session trying to stop this absolute unit who
-threw a whole bathtub at the cleric
    -mailbox battleaxed the monk
-almost drowned the Druid when he wild shaped into a cat to try and escape this unstoppable force
-was never truly stopped because the warlock decided to convert him and gave him magic powers

@@ink_the_wolfin6618 Thanks for the good wishes. Fortunately, I appear to be cancer free. I had HPV caused throat cancer; as I've learned, while highly treatable, it is one of the most painful & arduous cancer recoveries, (had my 1st surgery in July 2020, then chemo & radiati9n in Fall 21. I'm only about 50-60%.
Something I've learning w/ great difficulty is patience.
Many, many years ago, I was a professional athlete, & semi-pro in 2 others. I've broken, battered & torn up just about ever part of my body. Recoverying from physical injuries is a day-to-day progression; at most, week -to-week.
What isn't explained sufficiently to cancer patient is it is a month-to-month ordeal. I've almost go as far as say some aspect are year-to-to-year.
A month or three goes by with same horrid effects, (cancer recovery is actually cancer TREATMENT recovery.), then one day you havecan epiphany: ' Hey, I'm ______, anymore.' or 'Wow, _______ is beginning to function, again.'
It is a long, slow slog, which somtimes doesn't feel worth it, which teaches one humility, patience & empathy for your fellow humans.
May you never experience it; gain the positives by some other means.

Randy is living proof of how important the presence of the comedian is to their attitude. If he was just a human standing there telling the story, it'd still be a funny story, but it'd lose so much of its power. Instead, he's moving, he's bringing it to life with the movement.

There's at least two people controlling the puppet. You can't control two hands and a mouth at the same time. And to be fair, we don't know for sure that the guy voicing him is one of the ones controlling the puppet in this clip. It's entirely plausible, but not guaranteed.

    • @kilimenjiro3753
      @kilimenjiro3753 2 роки тому +127

@@amokriinprolgiid3409 …no it’s literally just one puppeteer. Notice how whenever both of Randy’s hands are moving they’re more or less moving in the same direction or are cupped together. The puppeteer is holding two sticks with his non-dominant hand - this is a technique most of the Henson puppeteers use (including Randy’s performer who has done some work with the Henson company).
Also, it’s a bit odd to think this is a pre recorded track or done by a separate performer - there’s a level of movement in the performance that can only be achieved by the person puppeteering and doing the voice at the same time, particularly considering this is a standup act that requires a level of being present that would be next-to-impossible if it’s multiple people doing something. And even then, there’s plenty of videos of Randy performing live (including in the special this is from) of him interacting with/reacting to audience members that can only be achieved by a single puppeteer doing voice and movement.

It is. I used to teach puppeteering classes and attend competitions for years. The year we won first place was with a 15 minute production I did lead for, toward the end I got so weak I had to drop the arm rods just to support my arm and the weight of the puppet. No matter how long you practice or how experienced you are it never prepares you for the pain of the performance, nowadays there are devices to assist with the weight and move the weight to the shoulders/ribs of the actor. I wish those were around when I was involved.
