@@mattgroom5179 Would be cool to see you doing graded falls practice as per the Hard is Easy protocol... seems like you'd be ripe for a massive sport grade boost!
@@mattgroom5179 Oh fair enough, it can be a massive bottleneck for sport climbing.. My totally unsolicited advice (and I've coached a couple of people through this) is (no surprise), fall practice. Start small and work your way up higher and higher on climbs where it's safe to do so. Work your way up to eventually going for big deadpoint moves and deliberately missing the hold and taking semi-uncontrolled falls. Expect progress to be inconsistent, but generally trending towards improvement and be patient and kind with yourself through the whole process. I'm sure with a couple of months of mental training you'd be sending in the 8's given your bouldering grade :) (fall training video series tend to do pretty well by way of youtube views as well :P)
@@mattgroom5179 fell you man... Same here, i Boulder around v9/v10 and everything that's above 7a in sport climbing my mind shuts down, even if the moves are no big deal...
I am having a grass is always greener issue; even though I live near Joshua Tree, I really would love to live in Margalef. Good video, makes me want to move there even more.
Mac's a legend. Me and a few mates had a class night of beers wine and food in one of the local restaurants. Dinner with Tim emmett Sam whittaker and mac. Then back to the yurt of dreams for more beers and a smoke. I will never forget that night. What a last night that was to a great holiday. Looking well mac🤙
What do you mean by "you paid full price" for the non-sponsored part ? I don't do videos myself, I was just wondering what does it cost to film something and put it on youtube/or here include it in a sponsored video ?
Lucky Git!! It looks like a great time. I'm stuck in the UK can't fly (Long Story), can't climb (torn thumb tendon!). so instead I posted my Climbing Stories in a video the other week, all those memories from near death experiences to annoying belayers!! So I ask you, (I asked on the end of the video), what's your favourite climb(s), not the hardest, the ones that really stand out after all this time?
Climbing 7c boulders but falling on 7b routes blows my mind 😅 I climb 7b/+ sport but struggle HARD on v4/5 boulders
I really struggle with falling, think it’s holding me back..

Living an hour away from Margalef and Siurana... I'm a boulderer and scared of falling hahahaha.

I meant that I didn't get the accommodation for free, it wasn't a deal between us. I just thought the place deserves some attention :)
