Haha, well, I believe that the activities of the BB in UK has changed a lot, quite a number of companies don't do drill anymore, and even the uniform has evolved into something that doesn't require ANY polishing/cleaning at all, except ironing. Of course, I may be wrong since I am based in Malaysia and I just heard that from the BBUK Online Forums
If you believe that all that is important in the BB is polishing uniform and drill, then you fundamentally misunderstand the role and place of the BB in 21st century society. It is so much more than that. And you can take that from a BB officer, with over 60 boys in his company.
Can someone tell me what is the HYMN TUNE sung here? I've been searching all through hymn website for this hymn text, and lots of sheet music and MIDI files, but all different tunes, not this one!
I certainly hope so! Why, what's happened to the BB? There are a couple of BB and GB companies in my area and as far as I know they're not much different from when I was in Cabin Boys and then Junior BB years ago.
My friends and i wernt allowed back for a second year at college (media course) because we failed to film our final project because our friend HAD to attend BB. Cheers BB!
@essslj There may well be some aspects of socialism which accord with Biblical teaching just as there are some aspects of other political philosophies which do too. But I would completely disagree with saying "socialism is a Biblical concept" because much of what have seen and experienced of socialism is very unbiblical indeed.
@bobsjob2 Youought to have grown out of your socialism by now. People never have been equal, they never will be equal, they were never meant to be equal. Equality certainly isn't a Biblical concept, so goodness alone knows why so many churches go on about equality.
interested in the curious comments about socialism and equality. surely if everyone is created in God's image then we are all equal. In Christ there is no slave nor free, no Jew or Greek, no male or female If that's not equality comrades then I don't know what is. As a Christian and a Red...I hope people never grow out of their socialism!!!
