Compressor bleed valves…they’re throttling up to apply the thrust reversers. When you throttle a jet engine, especially a high bypass turbo fan, the compressor makes more air than the engine needs for combustion. To avoid compressor stall, similar to reciprocating engine turbo chargers, there is a valve that bleeds off excess air.
We at Collins aerospace designed the EBU for this C-Series, yes in our designers’ heart it’s always be the C-Series; I have talked to a few few pilots, they say they still referred them as C-Series. Bombardier engineers created this beauty, not Airbus.
@@JUSTENization No one disputes the C Series was created by Bombardier. Still without Airbus the planes would be sitting in the desert waiting for scrapping. Even worse this "beauty" is still not making money and without Airbus spending billions it would never fly again. The whole assembly and supplychain is a mess full of inefficiencies. Bombardier had simply not enough experience in the assembly of larger planes and overreached.
The same noise comes from the Embraer E2 jet. It has occurred with the jet flying over on approach to Cairns International Airport in Australia and at only a few hundred feet above the ground. I would say it is the new modern design jet engines showing one of the deficiencies.
I’ve ridden many planes from MA to Puerto Rico,Ohio,Florida,Jersey,Virginia,Nebraska just rode this plane 1 day ago from Florida back to MA. I love window seat so I can see the outside and if we going to crash I can see it coming lol😅. But when I was on this plane and it was prepping for take off I seriously thought the engine was broken and my butt hole had a pucker factor of 100%. I raced against time and Needed to look this up on UA-cam before we toke off to put phone in airplane mode. So I know if needed to Arnold Schwarzenegger myself to bathroom down the toilet and and the landing gear (commando movie) before I crashed and died. Imagine my relief when I found out this supposed to be normal lmao 😅

Those engines are so quiet in high gear if it wasn't for them gearing down (which these engines do vs just spooling down) you wouldn't hear the jet coming.
A220-300 Very Nice plane.

The newer airbus planes (A220, A350, etc.) just look cleaner imo
A220 was originally a Bombardier plane.
