My stock 07k sits at 90 degrees when it’s fully up to temp just for a heads up.
those belts fly off above 6k rpm, the easiest fix for that is to delete the tensoner for the ac to crank belt and run a stretch belt there instead, otherwise you can get a ttra crank pully and belt set up but thats kind of expensive

I got one with VR6 swap, I wonder if the 5 cylinder swap is any more practical or better?
Cheaper by a considerable amount, similar stock power, some say it’s one of Vws most reliable engines, and lighter. It’s really just up to preference and what not, love vr swaps but I love this car!
But then again the 07k doesn’t have a great aftermarket yet and probably wouldn’t hold boost as well as a vr6 so pros and cons of course
@@brett.mk2 yeah but even your swap guide is all spotty and confusing. There is no real definitive guide on the best way to swap to 07k
I haven’t made a guide or anything haha I’m just making videos as I go. I can make a doc eventually if it’s something people want
@@brett.mk2 that is the problem, everyone one is making these swap videos as they go, so it is a mess, it would be great if someone made a video on what is the best way of doing that swap from start to finish in one video
