- After installing my enclosure and amp i was getting unwanted feedback from accelerator pedle when ever it was beying depressed… so to fix this problem there is a module in the honda ridgeline and other modles that is called the ANC (Active Noise Cancellation). This is to make the inside cabin more quieter by using the car’s speakers. There are two microphones in the cabin that hear the low frequencys from engine noise and by adding a subwoofer then the microphones pick up those low frequencys and thats when the ANC kicks in and thats what we hear coming from the subwoofer when ever we press the gas pedle. So by disconnecting this modual it solves the problem %100. And also, i found the location of the original amplifier. Please watch the entire video and learn a thing or two from me or from the truck if you are into doing an install like mine. Please enjoy this video
Got most my stuff lined up. Dm810, 2 amps, 2 sets of door components. Still deciding my subwoofer direction and build options. I've absorbed ideas and knowledge from so many videos like yours. Thank you!
I will be doing part 3 video of the outcome! It sounds very very clean and it plays lows and highs like i always wanted. I recomend this setup to everyone.
Excellent job Raul, much respect for the directions and insightful presentation
Thank you so much for this video!!!
I was struggling to find the grommet in the firewall to pass my wires through!
Thank you for showing how to find it!
Im glad i was able to help thru my video! Just be carefull not to cut, kink or splice any wire thru the rubber grommet. I took my time on doing it and it was very helpfull using a razor blade. And also temoving the grey/ sylver metal electric box out the way to get access to the rubber grommet from under dash/ foot peddle location.
That was crazy informative ty
Thank u for the vid!
Could you please post the links to the center speakers and tweeters assembly.. great video by the way
I did something very similar to my B.E. but used a single 10" Skar with a slot ported box tuned to 34 Hz. It sounds great but always want more so I might have to look at the passive radiators. I'd love to hear it and know more of your thoughts on how it sounds.
Great vid! Ima about to upgrade the speakers. Where can i get a pinout on the amp for speakers?
On the black edition I dont think you can disable the ANC without issue. I think speaker wires go from the head unit -> anc -> amplifier
I got.the same truck. Bro. That's an awesome set up. I want the same set up how much have you spent for the hole equipment.
Quick question I’m trying to put a whole system in my car components in the front coaxial in the back may be running a five or six channel amp for the center channel as well. Is there anything special I have to do
Can you please tell me the model of the JL tweeters? I need the right size...
Good job, would like to hear how it sounds.
Getting back to you sorry for the wait…. I will be doing a part 3 soon of it playing bro
What are the speakers that you used for tweeter and mid?
What size are the jl tweeters? Thanks for the video bro
They are the JL Audio C3-100ct 1” tweeters they fit perfect
Are you still using the Infotainment as your primary HU. I thought I saw an aftermarket HU located below the heater/ac?
Yes i am currently using the OEM infotainment system. You are correct there was an aftermarket unit but it was only to test fit just incase if i needed to add an aftermarket head unit and it fits perfect! But i took it out and stored away since i was able to solve my issue with the bass humming sound coming from the ANC module. What was helpfull to you from this video?
Can you please tell me the make and model of the 3.5" mid driver that you replaced? I know its 2ohm, but i can seem to find one. Thanks, and great video!
Yes sir! I replaced it with a 3.5 midrange neo dymium magnet carbon fiber cone from Skyhighcaraudio.com. The modle is SH-35N
@@raulofalltrades5023 Thanks bro 👍
Thanks so much for doing this. When you ran the power cable, did you have to run them close to factory wires in the rubber grommet or was there a lot of room to run it? I just worry compromising existing wires. I would prefer to drill a new hole but seems this vehicle is challenging? The black fuse box under hook, It just pulls up after you pull clips back? I was getting a lot of resistance and chickened out, maybe just lack of wire tension and it needs to lift over the slots...Did the GTO from epicenter not work ? vs running a long remote cable? I think if it works, it will still utilize the remote out to your amp. Thanks. Dave
There was room to run the wire thru the rubber grommet i just needed to be carefull not to kink, splice or cut any wires from that harnness going thru the engine compartment thru fire wall under the foot peddles. I used a razor blade to make an intrusion on the rubber piece very carefully. I also was looking for a spot to drill but it is hard because there is hardly any spots inside under the dash. So, cutting thru the rubber grommet was my only choice. Yes the black fuse box pulls up and the braket holding the fuse box is held by two 10mm bolts that you also remove to get the braket removed and out of the way to get good access to rubber grommet. The GTO worked perfect too. But i prefer remote wire thats my prefference. I should be making a part 3 video soon
@@raulofalltrades5023 I agree about remote wire. I always prefer.
Have you metered this? How’s the stock electrical system holding up?
It has been a year now and no problems with power what so ever! Everything 100% the system plays flawless
Hello I have a 2022 Honda Ridgeline and wanting to put a powered subwoofer under the back seat and disconnect the factory sub . Can I use the factory sub signal wires that runs from the factory amp to get the signal to my powered subwoofer thanks!!!
Yes you can. Thats how i got mine done. In this video i show how i did it
Yes thats exactly what i did and in this video i show how i did it and also show how to get the remote/ signal turnon wire to aftermarket amp.
Def want to hear it. I'm think of doing 2 PR with my Sundown 12xv3. Just slow down the video a bit, youtube shouldn't pick up on the audio.
Thanks for your comment. I will be playing it on part 3 video soon so stay tune bro
Where did u add the bass knob
The bass knob is at the left side right under the buttons for safety metigation lane assist and 400 watt button location. Good spod to mount bass knob
Where did you ground amp?
I grounded the amp to one of the 15mm bolts that hold down the rear seat
i know its gonna sound weird but u can play crab rave its got good bass to test out the system and its a royalty free tune lets here part 3
I will make a part 3 video soon. thanks for the info on free music by crab rabe. You shall hear it bro
This is absurd. The factory audio is more than adequate.
Adequate to slam some bass? I beg to differ, sir. No where near where it needs to be for some of us
To you maybe but not us.
