The screens are what most people want, that’s why you see them everywhere now. I prefer physical controls for major functions. I feel like the technology is going to break down the line in vehicles like this.
@ 0:48 get bonked nerd 🤣 Jokes aside that was actually a nice close up of the Grabber Blue paint, never knew it had that much of a metallic sparkle in real life.
I just love the sound of that 5.0L, the only thing about the new Mustang is the lack of a good interior, that giant touchscreen looks ridiculous and the lack of physical controls really cheapens this interior. Paying almost 60k for a two seater sports car, I would be expecting a more premium looking interior, but there's a lot of plastic inside the new mustang, doesnt look very high quality especially for 60k.
60k is the darkhorse base gt’s can be had for sub 45k. Even still at that price point the lack of the tremec 6spd in 2024 as standard is a dealbreaker for me, especially when gt350’s can be had for less than a darkhorse as well as mach 1’s
@@Andrew-zx9wx that’s exactly what I mean, with the Camaro and Challenger being discontinued, the Mustang is kinda supposed to compete with the likes of the M2, Toyota Supra, Lexus IS500, the difference is those competitors offer similar or better performance and a nicer interior for a similar price.
@@ZoomZoom356 idk about the is500 it’s definitely overpriced for what it is but I agree with everything else. Mustang is about to fall into the same issue they had after its competitors retired the first time, pure laziness. They should really go all in with the sports car identity for it, make a new chassis, have a smaller footprint too.
They’re all doing that crap. Even the higher end stuff like Caddy and BMW. It looks so tacky to me, like they didn’t even try at all. I liked the old setup they had with the center infotainment and the digital gauge cluster. Looked so much better.
Totally agree dude! It's a fashion crap and a hell of nonsense on these iconic cars! If customers enthusiasts will say NO to this absurd and refuse to buy a mustang....dont' worry that Ford will learn the lesson and will modify this shit....
Personally, i dont mind the screens, Ford definitely could've created a more well shaped out and fitting dashboard design, but im not too bothered by it. Overall at the end of the day, its still a Mustang and its still beautiful as ever, not letting this minor "screen" setback ruin everything else about it. I absolutely hate it when people think like that sometimes.
It just get a couple days to get used to it. Most of the common functionalities can be done using the physical buttons and using the voice command. The only thing you need to use the screen for (in movement) is AC controls, heated seats and steering wheel.
As someone accustomed to driving an SUV, with a more-vertical windshield, the slanted windshield and perpetual reflection of the dash-top would drive me crazy. I would definitely apply a less-reflective, black dash-top covering of some sort.
Can you guys look at 2020 Chevrolet Equinox LT with 1LT FWD by any chance if you could I will love that cause I’m 14 and I want this car 😅 but I want to know what it feels like to drive it thank you and love your videos it makes me feel like I’m the one driving 😊 💙
I really dislike how every manufacturer just puts a big rectangle in the middle of the car with no design whatsoever. The curves in old dashboards gave them a good nice look but now everything is just a big boring rectangle.
There's something on the road he was driving over. Some yellow (I guess metallic) plate or panel covering something. There are more of them on that road.
I test drive this pretty much identical car a few weeks ago. Recaros were very uncomfortable to me….and it needs another 50 more lb feet of torque. I know the challengers are discontinued. But the tile end torque in the scatpack was amazing compared to the torque in this
Ford really screwed owners of 24' GT 5.0 manual that do not get the Perf Pack. For 24' only the GTs with Perf Pack and Dark horse have the oil cooler. When one does consistent simple and or hard pulls the oil temp raises to high levels and that's engine breakdown waiting to happen. The fix would have to be bringing it back to the dealer and paying them to install OEM oil cooler which is approx $140 for the parts plus labor.
Its nice but 55k is out of control. These dealerships have lost their damn minds. The seating situation is truly awful. Might as well spend the extra bucks if you have this kind of money on a Ct5 or even a ct4 blackwing.
This car is one of my favorites for me though if it were mine i think i would go with black wheels and a black wing instead of the blue one. But that is only my preference 👍
Your Boss 13 302 is one of my favorite test drive videos man, esp for the Mustang. Been watching that one off and on for the last 10 years or so. The new 5.0 is nice, but screens got me.
I'd go auto with the coyote GT, it's the superior transmission. Manual/V8 id much rather have the Camaro SS/Lt1 with the Tremec. I'm just not a fan of the MT-82 for a multitude of reasons. Ive owned 2 Mt-82 coyotes too. Not all manuals are created equal.
Timing will never be right. It's up to you to make room for it. What will you say when you retire? The timing isn't right right now. And then you realize that if you tried a little bit, you could have had the car the whole time. I'm not trying to criticize or anything. I just know that things happen after you shift a gear in your head. They don't usually happen on their own. Just think about it.
I don`t understand this industry copy paste dashboard... 2 screens like in an Mercedes S Class on a sports car like Ford Mustang... for me, this superficial "design" is not growing over the time.. I`m ok with technology, but in my opinion this is just lazy design..
Sounds like a video game, completely synthetic. And second gear goes up to like 80? What's the point of a manual if you can just keep it in 2nd everywhere? The gearing is way too tall.
Chevy and Dodge are going to find out that they made a big mistake getting rid of the V8 engines in their cars. They need to listen to the consumers when it comes to this.

What a good guy
I love something at this car, which makes her, more specially for me: manuar transmition !
I find a pleasure to driving a manual !
The standard exhaust sounds perfect.

I’m thinking the M2 offers better interior with similar, or better, performance for a few more bones.

The Corvette does have a premium leather/carbon fiber interior for its price point

V8 and manual. Great!
u can actually hear the whine of the MT-82, as it struggles to stay together
This just isn't true. MT82 issues are super overblown; these are fine gearboxes (and I'm a Tremec owner)
Love that gear ratio, 70mph under 2k rpm? Yes sir!!

That's definitely in my future, but I need a spare tire! I hope they get rid of that dash and bring back the dual cowel.
nah
Car people: this interior looks too old, needs more tech to be worth it
Also car people: too much screen I want buttons, I want old school
The section said, "spirited driving", but you short-shifted the entire time. My grandmother would push the car harder.
Nice ride around Portola parkway.
Love The Color Of The Car😍❤️🔵🚗💨!
Seeing how much the driver struggled with the screen-only climate controls made me 100% sure I won't be considering this car in the future
User error, I can confirm the screen is as, if not more intuitive then most cars.
It just get a couple days to get used to it. Most of the common functionalities can be done using the physical buttons and using the voice command. The only thing you need to use the screen for (in movement) is AC controls, heated seats and steering wheel.

Why does the dashboard looks likw Geely Okavango/ HAOYUE?

What kind of camera?
Wish I had some winding roads where I live…
What's with all the grinding and clunking noises around 9:20? Didn't look like you were shifting. Was that the diff?
There's something on the road he was driving over. Some yellow (I guess metallic) plate or panel covering something. There are more of them on that road.
It's called speed bumps, the road is curvy so they have those there to keep you alert incase you start falling asleep at night time.

One day I’m getting this car just for a casual drive on the autobahn I Germany
Just once, I would like to see a car video w/ a manual car where the driver isn't jerking the car off when in neutral.
My dream car is a mustang but a 2020 model
I think I'm there, too. Drove a new one in 2020 and I liked the styling better. I don't think much of that large screen, either.
What’s the weird bang sound every so often? It’s like you’re going over a bump and slamming the bottom of the car into the ground.
Transmission crunch probably.
It happens once a while, even in newer cars.
Nevermind, its actually small yellow reflective plates in the road.
