I drive a HGV in the UK. Car drivers here have no idea what a 'blind spot' is.

I had two theories
1) he sped up just enough to prevent her from passing prior -- had he maintained his speed, she would've been in front
2) driving well below construction speed limit. I've personally been stuck behind someone doing 31 in a 55 construction zone, no workers or equipment present.
I think 14 just had to pee in 24 was smoking something and had to lite the cigarettes up quick to try to camouflage the smell cuz they didn't know where they were and the buzz was just hitting hard

Many trucker drivers these days come out of truck driving schools, and are mostly just taught how to file their paperwork, not drive a truck, and are hired by high turnover companies that don't care if their drivers are responsible or not. Most semis have cruise control. They will put it on and drive just like they are in a car, which is highly reckless and irresponsible, and get made if they are forced to hit the breaks, or take it off for any reason. The old time drivers really hate the driving school idiots, and there are also a lot of foreign drivers that don't respect our road laws.

@@gregoryferber3231 The speed on dash cameras are based on GPS data. If there's no GPS access, there's no data. Tunnels have zero GPS data and the GPS can only estimate during the time in the tunnel.

#29 - I actually took a look at his channel and it's entirely videos of him left lane camping, cursing out his viewers for pointing it out, oh and one where he goes offroading to try to pass a wide load. No clues who he drives for though.
Most of my life, truckers were professionals. You passed them with blinkers,and they turned lights on and off. They passed you, and you reciprocated. Those days are gone, I guess. 😪

You do realize there is a severe shortage of truckers? Maybe consider that many of these truckers are responsible for keeping grocery shelves stocked and such. I'm not excusing some of their actions as defensive driving should be a thing, but cutting off and brake checking a semi is just stupid.

Truckers who don't wait for that flash end up nearly pushing a 1987 Pontiac 6000 SE into a ditch on I-81 near Troutville, VA at 75 mph (back when speed limits were 55). Ah, my fifth grade family vacation...

35 years ago my friends dad was a trucker. He told me to stay away from truckers. That they are crack heads and will run you off the road. He was not joking me. I do not understand the idiots who want to mess around with 68k pounds of metal going 65 down the road.
My husband and I were road raged/harassed 20 years ago by a young truck driver on an interstate for no reason whatsoever! My husband was a former truck driver and respected drivers.

The trucker is nuts! If I was in a small pickup with an 18 wheeler driving a couple feet off my bumper, I'd slow to a crawl also. I'd be worried it might end up on top of me!
Going up hills in a truck, It will be a lot slower, even slower when they’re fully loaded. Some trucks are also governed to the speed limit. That’s why slow vehicles need to stay in the left lane, unless passing. If there is an area for slow vehicles to pull over you do so. But if there isn’t an area for them to pull over there’s not much they can do. The left lane is here in New Zealand. The people that get mad at trucks are the ones that have never driven one and don’t know what it’s that like.
It must get really old really fast being a trucker and having drivers constantly cut you off because they think it’s ok to swoop in front of a truck at the last second.
But when they get hit blame the trucker for it.

@minecraftfox4384 Actually, most states consider the left lane to be the passing lane on any road above a regular 2 lane surface street. (Think state and national highways and interstates.) It's also the law in those states that slower traffic stays right except to pass. TN and FL for 2 restrict semi's from using the left lane at all since the rest most times is a backup waiting to happen.
I've seen other videos of people 'playing' around with semis and then suddenly that car doesn't exist anymore. Why in the he-ll would you play chicken with a truck, what, ten times the size and weight of your 4-door or SUV? Morons. Give them room and stay back.

Most cars 2000lbs most truck 20000+lbs so more like 10x more at least. Was doing escort when moving some M1A1 tanks for maintenance and they had to have special over weight permits and trucks because they run 120000 and people in the tiniest cars were always cutting them off to try making exists 🤯

In most states the left lane is only to overtake slower traffic in the cruising lane (right lane) but some of these truckers seem to be camping in the left lane with nobody to the right of them and it looks like it's pissing some of the other motorist off that wants to overtake the trucker that's already in the passing lane that's why the truckers get brake checked, I don't really care about truckers doing that myself I just pass in the cruising lane and get on with my life but I guess if you use the interstate highway for your daily commute to work in a timely manner then I could see how it might get a little frustrating.

Some of those may have been left lane hogs. Not professional drivers, in my opinion. If you are not actively passing, move right. Especially if someone is behind you trying to get around. No, it doesn't matter if you're doing the limit, move to the right.
Unless ACTIVELY passing, or taking an exit on left side of highway, truckers DO NOT belong in left lane. It is not for cruising/camping, it is illegal in many states. Move over

It's amazing watching these from Australia, brake checking is so rare. Can't even remember the last time I've seen it happen to anyone.
Firstly im not saying anyone should brake check ever. But how many of these videos were truckers hanging in the left lane with people passing on the right? And how many truckers didnt check their blind spot before nearly colliding with a car. Most people don’t randomly brake check a truck, theres usually a reason they are mad.
I know there are those who are idiots when they're driving their cars. At the same time, there are truck drivers who drive just as unsafe (dangerous too). For example: following at an unsafe distance, driving too fast for what the road conditions allow, texting while driving, cutting off others, not using turn signals....

Things people really seem to hate being stuck behind and wanting to overtake no matter what even if they crash their car: Trucks, Learner Drives.
I have said it so many times. If a driver brake checks a truck, it should be perfectly legal for the trucker to rear end the brake checker and face no punishments. Why these drivers think it's ok to brake check a vehicle that weighs about three times your car is beyond me. If they think that they are going to get any insurance money, they are sadly mistaken.
I think 3 times heavier is a tad bit of an understatement.😂 But thats probably what the brake checkers think is that it'll be just a small bump and fake having neck pain to get paid. One day they'll experience what meat feels like in a meatgrinder/blender.
If the carrier is full weight, then it would be closer to twenty times the weight of the average vehicle.

#13 Semis sometimes have sensors that engage the brakes for them when someone is too close. In any case, not only do those people cause issues for the semis, but they cause issues for drivers behind the truck.

to all truckers, please stop camping the left lane for miles just to pass another vehicle going 2 mph slower than you, thank you!
Most truckers aren't camping out in that lane making long passes because they want to hold everyone up. It's not exactly easy for a truck to make quick lane changes. They need a gap big enough for them to fit. They need to worry about smaller vehicles darting in and out of lanes and trying to pass on the right. Or they know they have to make a left turn ahead and can't afford to miss it if there is a good chance no one will let him back into the lane when leaving it until right before the turn. If you are arguing they shouldn't be allowed to pass, then that's a whole nother can of stupid worms.
Quite a few of these were definitely caused by left lane campers, not justifying the action.

Is the truck on the passing lane? No.
Are there many other cars? No.
But the asshole will use any of the other lanes to pass the truck, get in front and brake check for no reason.

The speed readout is an estimate dropping slowly from whatever speed you were really doing until it defaults to zero when it gives up trying to make an estimate without any satellites to connect to. Show us the full video starting from before you entered the tunnel

A lot of problems in this video could have been avoided if the truckers were not camping in the left lane. When you have other semi drivers brake checking you, you are doing something wrong.

#14, cammer is very much in the wrong and is driving like an absolute asshole. She tried to pass in a turn lane, and then tailgated the car at an insanely close distance.
The amount of truck drivers blatantly driving slow in the "passing" or "fast" lane is the reason for most of these interactions. Sorry to say it but most of the truckers are at fault here....
