A suspect in a stolen Kia led authorities on a lengthy chase from Hawthorne to South Los Angeles Friday afternoon, briefly reversing into an LAPD cruiser before surrendering.
Hawthorne police initiated the pursuit just after 5 p.m. then handed it off to CHP as the suspects got onto the freeway. At one point there were reports of four suspects in the car but by the time it got to Los Angeles there was only the driver. The Kia had damage to its front end.

Yup! My Kia Soul was stolen 2 weeks ago from today as well. No one cared, and they were on camera stealing it at 6 am in front of my house. The teens crashed my car, and homeless ppl ended up with it. The homeless stole everything out of My car and even tagged all over the interior.
Edit: the teens had 3 stolen cars at one time. They dropped off 1 stolen car and then stole my car. Each boy had their own stolen car 🚗. It was all on camera.

I saw a video of ASP yesterday doing a pit on a car doing 80+, I think it was the new ASP Charger chasing a Charger. Successful pit.
I agree AST, FHP and it sounds like GSP dose not play... CHP needs to get officers from that area to enforce the laws in CA... But then the da/courts would just let them out so not really sure what having aggressive cops would do if there is no fallow on to enforce the laws..

Fifteen to twenty cop cars to arrest a suspect lying on his stomach with his arms spread apart, and the cops are still standing there with guns and rifles pointed at the suspect, while traffic keeps backing up on the freeway. what a joke.

It's definitely not like the good old days. 1 or 2 patrol cars per incident rather than this ridiculous waste of police resources and unnecessary traffic blockage. The cops treat this like some big arrest "party". Our tax $$ at work

@@Remaggib Well looks like he missed dinner time in jail... They started to air it at 5 mins to 6 and went about half a hour... So around 6:30 he gets put in a car... How ever long if there is a line for booking... Maybe gets booked around 7pm.. LOL just in time to get his new clothing, a pillow and blanket with sandals for his night stay in jail...

The other day I was watching a car chase of a “serial rapist” in LA. The usual suspect was WHITE
Honestly, it seems like he was trying to get caught to get sent to jail, as if he's had something he had to do/message/package to deliver in jail or something.
You don’t get sent to jail for being a serial criminal; carjacker, retail theft, home burglary, assault etc. in Los Angeles with D.A. George Gascón having such warm fuzzies for them. Dropped or reduced charges even when arrested and immediate release on a PR bond out to continue causing chaos in the community with impunity and his full support and approval.
Classic. Tow truck was in place at the end of the chase for a payday

If you're not familiar with older-model Kias, there's a thing you can do to the dash where the key goes in (can't remember all the details), that someone with a USB plug, or something, makes the car easy to steal. Someone figured it out, back east, and put it on the Web, and social media. Started happening on a regular basis, back east, until it found it's way out here. Kia had to do a recall on those older Soul's, and other vehicle models, to fix their faulty hardware error.
That's why *_"Kia Boys",_* is so prominent in the comments here. Most of these vehicles are being stolen by juvenile boys, but not all.
