      Here's the thing though Cappy .. these cops were being extra careful to do everything "by the book" as they say, and making sure that they don't violate any of his rights .. something that they don't usually do with a civilian. They're purposely not asking any incriminating questions, not even an "okay, what really happened and be honest with us Mike, - things will go better for you" -type question.
      They supposedly didn't have 'clear evidence' of the crime yet, even after looing at the CTV footage so gave them the excuse to pass everything off to the detective division and let the tyrant deputy sheriff go home. You're right about one thing ..they really gave the clown the 'red carpet treatment' .. treatment that you and I would probably never see in a million years if we were in the same situation.

    Police say all the bottles were empty and none of the bottles were unopened.”
    Sounds like he has a huge drinking problem. I don’t understand why he wasn’t charged with DUI since the officer said he could smell alcohol on him.
    I understand that there is “professional courtesy” given but as someone who has lost a friend from a drunk driver I’m disgusted!!

    • @looking4therealrepairmanjack
      @looking4therealrepairmanjack 9 місяців тому +39

      Believe it or not, and for what it's worth, a DUI is the absolute least of his worries in this case. It's also the only misdemeanor of all the other felony charges. What ever he pleads to or is convicted of, it's all going to run concurrently, so it's not like he would've gotten more jail time anyway. Again, for what it's worth.
      And, yes, I realize that this just isn't enough for some of the less reasonable, foaming at the mouth, hate all cops no matter what, idiots. For the rest of us normal, intelligent folks, who realize that this isn't a perfect world, we take the wins when we're lucky enough to get them. And this was a pretty big win. 15 years active duty, no pension?! That's huge! Several felonies?! Even better, he can't be rehired in another department! But some of you are going to endlessly bitch and moan that he didn't get a little misdemeanor DUI charge.🙄 That's why no one but those in the echo chamber with you, listen to anything you have to say. You're completely unreasonable.
      P. S. My husband was killed by a DUI driver, so don't come at me with that "if it happened to you" bullshit, bro, because it did. Like I said, I take the wins when I can get them.

      This was definitely a case of dereliction of duty because the offenders was a fellow officer. I wish everyone could see the clear difference between a case like this, and the cases where good officers do their job but are kind / respectful to their brother / sister in arms that obviously just ruined their career.
      Too many people see things like this and use it to promote distrust with law enforcement. Then when good officers have to arrest a colleague, they may hug their friend or clearly be upset that their friend is ruined. Those officers will get as much hate if not more then these officers do.
      It may suck to arrest your friend or a fellow LEO... but not doing so will hurt more LEOs in the long run. Don't give people with hate in their hearts more reason to hate.

    Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Borrecco has had one of two aggravated assault charges dropped. One charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge was dropped because one of the victims did not show up in court Monday.
    His attorney filed new motions asking for information on the two men, including their criminal history, an officer’s lapel video, and some witness interviews to be withheld from the trial. They said that the information was not made available to them in a timely manner.
    A hearing on the motion is set for later this month. Borrecco is facing two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
    *This is the most recent update on this case as of today*

Guy could've been fired, lied and impersonated an officer, or even been a officer/veteran suffering from PTSD/panic attack. Lots of potential deadly reasons this could've turned into a 'what not to do' police training video instead of just put on UA-cam for likes. This is probably the only time he's been caught, so that 15 years means nothing as he just got lucky to NOT get caught previous times he did insane things. Nobody randomly does something like this after 15 years without previously doing something similar, so he just got what he had coming. Then again police departments have insane payouts to some officers so he still might collect something.

    These cops are very relaxed for a call involving a gun. The first officer casually walks up to the tinted vehicle and knocks on the window. If that were anyone else, the entire police force would surround the truck with guns pointed, instructing the driver to roll down all windows, step out slowly, and lay on the ground with their hands and feet stretched out.
