I’ve been watching iihs since I was 10 years old. Today I am 19 years old and I’ve just been involved in my first car accident in my 2020 Toyota Camry. While only a minor accident it is major to me. I was rear ended by two other drivers at roughly 25-30 MPH. The rear of my car so far has held up well. My body also feels okay. I owe it all to IIHS and Toyota. Without their testing i feel like my own accident could’ve been worse. Thank you IIHS ❤.
You wrote it like you're into it or something 💀
@@caioaugusto3138 no, I’m glad because this group has saved so many lives and I’m glad they do the research they do.
@@caioaugusto3138 they should know that what they do has saved countless lives not only in the USA but now in Europe, South America, China, and other places because now these countries have implemented test based off of IIHS testing.
First one is always "major" even if it 's minor.... I remember my first one, getting T-boned in a 95 Ford Taurus by a Ford F150 going 50 mph. Walked away with only minor cuts on my arm....
What do we have to do with ur comment?
Does anyone have any idea why the wipers suddenly goes on?
The car performed well
yesss queen
Really safe
Scares me when the wheel sticks to the door lol
except the wheel didn’t stick to the door… it broke away and absorbed energy as designed
@@GrandHuevotes true
…hmmmm
That is normal in an extreme test such as that. The car performed well.
As i watch this video again IIHS, Toyota and their work has saved me again. Once again 6 months later i have been hit in my Camry. Safe and uninjured again.
you have bad luck if you got into another accident in just 6 months
@@0w3nn just bad drivers where i live
Pretty good for 40 mph.
I wish they had a video up on the driver small overlap. I drive a 2020 Camry and i know it scored good but i want to see how everything looks in a crash to see what the dummy’s head hits
Those tests were conducted by Toyota, so they can't post the video if it's tested by the manufacturer.
@@porothepotato I really hope that’s not true
@@KufLMAO It is, just go to their website and then it will say conducted by Toyota as part of crash test verification
@@porothepotato that’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard, the manufacturer is allowed to be the sole conductor of its own cars’ crash tests, and on top of that they don’t even have to release the results or footage? Bull fucking shit
@@porothepotatoiihs does not let the manufacturer conduct the test, would not make any sense. Any car company could rig the test then
that side airbag on passenger side popped out of the window a bit lol
Suppose at 40mph the window is usually closed anyway in a car.
It was supposed to. I'd rather have it deploy even if it's not needed, than not deploy.
The dummy's head contacted the frontal airbag but began to move into a gap between the frontal and side curtain airbags.
Have two men ( she thinks our come over there is a lot of the car )
Well the 2015-17 Camrys would've got a poor in the passenger side small overlap. They only improved the driver side for the 2015-17 Camrys.
proof?
@@0w3nn well I saw that in a Toyota forum
@@busfan9874 lmao
It got marginal not poor
Impressive
Sad destroy a Camry for nothing
It's not for nothing it's for safety purposes
The companies factor in this cost as part of their development and testing program. But my guess is that you'd rather buy a car that hasn't been tested because you thought it was a waste. it's not. And it's a good thing that they do these tests. If they didn't, my guess is that we would have a lot very unsafe cars on the road (strangely, even with these tests and ratings, we still do to a point).
