Thats a good idea. Could probably just grt rid of all the connectors and do some cutting and soldering and clean a bunch up that way too...maybe some day lol
Very nice! What happened to the TB you had? Awesome flying man. Great tip about the half throttle takeoff...I hate that they jump off the ground. Do you use any flap on takeoff?
I found flaps actually make the rotating mlre abrupt. Moving cg back..and part throttle with just a lil back pressure does the trick. She was getting beat up from all the accidental belly landings and hangar rash. Sold her to a buddy.
What is the diameter of the tailpipe you added. ? How did you mount it. ? Crazy that ypu can get 5 min . I can get 330 then I get nervous with the 7000.
That was a fantastic flight demonstration. 👍🏾 Thumbs-up for your video! 👍🏾 Here's the maiden flight of my Eflite F-16 Thunderbirds 80mm. I have the exact jet I just finished setting it up. I'm gonna use an HRV 6s 6000 50c. Where abouts do you recommend I strap it on? Maybe a little more forward than you did with that beefy 7000? Also, would it be hard to fly it without any Gyro or As3x safe select? Maybe just fly it ice cold by the seat of my thumbs?😆 Just subscribed to ya. Oh, and where's that cool flying field?
@@TheMrskydog a 6000 hrv is probably not much lighter than a 7000. So id go all the way back. Double check the cg but youre good to be atleast 1/2" aft of recomended. They fly just fine without as3x but they fly much "bigger" with. The field is in arvin ca...and thanks for subscribing :)
@@TheMrskydog it means it flies smoother. Flies like a bigger heavier model. Isnt as effected by wind. You can also use a more rearward cg and achieve better aerobatics while maintaining smooth flight. As for flight times...really depends how you fly. With a 7000 i can fly it pretty hard for about 5 min. If im doing more relaxed flying 6+. If i was wide open the whole time probably 3.5-4 min. Youll just have to fly the 6000s. Start at 4 min and go from there. Everybodies style is different
Sweet touch and goes! This jet is so much fun to land, nose up
Some great, smooth flying - and a good recovery on that first touch n go.
Love my 16 as well. I made up a bunch of extensions and moved the receiver in front of battery, cleaned up the rats nest of wires.

Cool mods and excellent flight Brent!!

Id have to double check but its around 2.75"
Is there a gyro?
Just the factory as3x reciever

@hechtspeed they fly much bigger with as3x? So what does that mean? And with HRV 6s 6000 abouts how much flite would I get?
