It was missing the metal sheets that cover the front top of the track. You can even see the 3 opening slots where it is supposed to be attached. It is on hinges normally.
I doubt they put even slightly close to full gear, it’s one of the last panthers left and to push a now antiquated engine to its limits seems foolish, even during the war when the US captured an A6M Zero they didn’t want to push the engine to War emergency power to test its max speed out of fear of damaging the aircraft
It remains a beautiful piece of engineering. If it was a good/the best tank? Opinions are divided about that. Probably like with all things, in some aspects it was good and in some aspects bad.
If they had built more of these, abandoned the whole "tiger"project(s) and let go of the incredibly heavy tank fetish... I think they would have been better off.
Kettenschürzen nicht original!Schade!
The fathers of all modern tanks today. The panzers always be immortal and a legend. No matter how negative people trying to saying.
Great looking Panther Tank.

Beautiful Panther! It's so nice to see one restored and operational.
Deutsche Qualität. MAN.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful video.
It dwarfs the Mark 4 next to it. Beautiful vehicle.
4K 60fps! very high quality / smooth. Klasse,
Danke schön!

It's beautiful but the engine seems a bit weak and tired

lol 70 year old engine tired?
should add puurrrss like a kitten
It is not the original Maybach, but at least it is moving.
It's not weak and tired.
They just don't want to strain the engine to much, due the rarity of the whole machine, and also engine parts.
Amazing line up of Armour. The Panther although 70 years old still looks more modern than the Leopard.
That engine sound! Man so nice. That tank is sex on tracks

I put my money on Panther anytime.
What a beast!
The real cause of Allied headaches, it wasn't just the tank itself but the gun it carried.
German Panzers are best marketing for todays German car industry
Ever seen Perfect!
I love German weapons !
Sounds like a low flying airplane absolutely cacophonous. No sneaking around after curfew in that thing
In that thing you don't need to sneak around.
Beeautiful and dangerous
Wonderful video 11/10
What's with all the antennas?
The Tank is a Comander tank of the Tank Kompanie it has more cb radio equipment . That for he has more antennas the other tanks .
@@mbury8004 It's probably a battalion command panzer - the II 01 designation would make it II Battalion 1st tank I believe.
Very cool!
doenst sound like the original engine?
Awesome
If they had built more of these, abandoned the whole "tiger"project(s) and let go of the incredibly heavy tank fetish... I think they would have been better off.
👍
Any one else able to spot themselves in the crowd
No :(
Thicc Kitty.
Paid so much for rebuilded the Panther . Performance with that Funny ladder.... Panzermuseum is not professional
