    When I first saw this scene and heard the lyrics, it felt to me, like Edouard is singing to his own soul. Trying to will his humanity back. It's there, just beneath the surface and he's desperate to grasp it once more.

      @@doriancoreyscloset421 you think since they where made by a machine instead The actual will and control form their forge master is weaken since the Forgemaster is tbe one who actually brings the soul back form. Hell to use... That would imply that a machine is Soulless even though it was constructed with a manual form hell

      @@ambuknight I think that because they were made in the machine, the process allows the night creature to keep the soul of its previous life. You saw in the seasons with Hector and Issac that the soul of the night creature was different. They also could make night creatures much faster, almost instantaneously. With the machine, the process is much slower.

      @@doriancoreyscloset421 true When they concentrate they can make them faster funny we saw Issac be the only one doing that Hector was more slow and took time. But you may be right... It could be both since the priest is USEING the machine it's a assembly line and probably does trap the original soul first but it can also be since there is no real FORGEMASTER to direct a soul to hell into a corpse it can lead the original soul intact inside their corpse.
      Again I see it as the idiom Souless machine, or a machine can't create something witb a soul... But eh we see what they do to explain that

      This piece precedes opera by 200 years. It's a Renaissance Ballard.
      But it is oh so beautiful.

    Thank you. Truly, thank you so, so much for uploading this. I honestly prefer Edouard’s version of this song far more than any other I’ve listened to. It makes a good backdrop for writing and drawing sad stories. I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that whenever I close my eyes while listening to music it’s like I see scenes and events from other worlds and I use them to create. So again, thank you.

    The fact his singing even changed the mindset of other night creatures proves that Edouard has some sort of power. Even being changed into a night creature didnt stop this mystical power of his voice. Love this series. I hope they never stop. Continue the Castlevania line.

    I know this piece, cuz we sang it in uni choir (I sing bass voice). So when i saw the episode, after the first "amor" i was like "dicera", then after the second amor "il ciel mirando, il piè fermo" and so on...even though I sounded horrible, cuz my larynx is currently inflamed 🙈.
    Seriously, I love the classical music interpretations by Sydney Harcourt in the series and I gotta say: That's a mighty big vocal range that man has! I mean: Tenor AND Countertenor? Those are many octaves, that he can sing!

      Right there with you. I didn't realize he was gay until I literally read these comments just now. Though I think that speaks volumes to the quality of the show's writing. They didn't make it a focus for the sake of doing so, since his sexuality wouldn't have been relevant to the storyline in the same way that Olrox's seems to be.

      @@Damian-ng1lc I definitely agree with this. At first I thought she was in love with him, but as the show progressed it grew more clear that it's a familial bond between them. She's crushing on Richter, and vice versa; I don't think she's ever seen Edouard in that same light.

      @@FJX716 and that night creature's music made other monsters remember who they were and even locked up in chanze he suited 2 to 4 other monsters to kill at his comand, he only sung as a distraction. But also this singing night creature was actually doing massive damage to anyone that got near it. His comrades he sanged to would give there life in a snap for this night creature.. that's why the very smart vampire with green eyes was amazed that , that created that type of night creature. He never gets impressed. So u can only imagine this was no ordinary night creature witch is why I think u didn't even watch the show.

    Lacrimosa by Mozart
    I think I'm forgetting one, but these are the ones I can remember atm. The most known of them is easily the Lacrimosa which Mozart famously died before completing.
