i got so emotional when i saw the quote "the ones that love us never really leave us" cuz it was personally the thing that helped me get through my grandpa's funeral.
The photo album had me bawling my eyes out for a hot minute. My grandpa passed a few months ago, luckily before the pandemic because that would have ruined him as he loved being outdoors with family and friends. We were really close and I miss him every day, that quote made me think of him and how true it is, he will never leave me as long as I love and remember him.
I love Sirius & also thought Harry would go to live with him & have a better life. Love the print & quote it would look great on my version of your shelves.

I find Sirius to be a very tragic character. He had very little happiness and peace in his life. After all: Sirius chose the light side despite his family being dark and so was cast out by his family. Regulus, his brother, died, but he never knew that it was in doing something good so Sirius always thought of his brother as only a Death Eater. Two of his best friends, James and Lily Potter, (one he loved like a brother) were murdered and another, Peter Pettigrew, caused their death by betraying them. Sirius tried to avenge their deaths by taking the law into his own hands (which he shouldn't have done, but it was war and he was senseless with grief) and killing Peter, but Peter tricked him and framed him for his 'murder' and that of 12 muggles. All of Sirius' friends thought he was the one who betrayed the Potters. He was sent to Azkaban (a literal torture prison) without trial for a crime he did not commit and only escaped 12 years later when he found out Peter was still alive. His friends find out he's innocent, but he never catches Peter and his name is never cleared whilst he's alive. He only had one year of freedom, before he returned to the UK and was subsequently trapped in Grimmauld Place. He was killed, only two years after escaping a prison sentence he was innocent of, by his cousin whilst protecting Harry. Just, really tragic. I love Sirius too. I wish he could have had a happy ending, the opportunity to heal and mature and just be happy.
