I feel like where they missed the mark as the official box is they think what we want is Harry Potter merch. We don't. We want pieces that make us feel like they are from the wizarding world. We want to look like we are in Harry Potter not like we are a fan of Harry Potter.
I came here to say something similar. The pieces looked like they were coordinated to match each other, which does take thought and care, but it's the aesthetic that's off. There probably are loads of folks that WANT merch that looks in place with their personal style, and for those folks this box would be perfect. (Quality on the items notwithstanding, I'm just speaking on looks.) I think the disconnect is that the expectation is reversed...the official crate is where you'd EXPECT in-world themed merch, not the other way 'round. If this is the direction (asthetic/modern styles) that this team wants to go with, then they should/could do more to set the expectation and positively reinforce their brand decision vs. having the message come off as tone-deaf. I rather liked the design on the hat and the puzzle...but was it magical? No. Am I expecting magical from the official box by default or if not advised otherwise? YES. Does that take away from my appreciation for the designers who are trying out 'fresh' concepts and art? Sadly, it does. I'd rather have these marketed so that they shine BECAUSE they're different. ETA: same with the beanbag game. It's a popular game where I'm from, and I do think Cherry has a point on having crates specific to young witches/wizards vs. display collectors. They could do better to market TO their different demographics instead of having all parties feel disenchanted.

Sorry that this wasn't a happy video gang, I wasn't sure whether I would upload this - it was unenjoyable to film if I'm being completely honest. I do hope that Loot Crate take all of our feedback on board, the comment section here is a gold mine for them. Either way, no more Loot Crates for me - i'll be keeping an eye on their future ones (from afar). Who knows, maybe one day they'll get their magical spark back. But for now - it's a goodbye from me.
i feel just as disappointed as you feel and i didn't even get them. thats really sad, especially since those are pretty expensive loot crates. if i were to get any of the items, id get the puzzle only, but seeing as how cheap it was made and not good quality, i wouldn't get it. so i guess nothing lol
I'm super picky about the magical items I buy (which is why I watch these videos before purchasing anything). For example, the only thing in recent memory I really loved was the Remembrall from Litjoy, and I do plan to buy one of those soon. You're absolutely right on the mark, I wouldn't want anything from this crate. It was just sad and not at all what you'd hope an official box would be like. IME, the officially licensed merchandise often falls short in both aesthetics and creativity, as well as quality. Even the official wands are lacking compared to the intricate works of art you can get from other shops.
Thats stuff my aunt or mum would buy and give it to me and I would put it in the closet and ignore it. I'm many years younger then she and I thinks it's awful.
Absolutely right! This is proof that in order to crate magical crates for Harry Potter Fans, you need to be a fan yourself, to understand what makes us love the Wizarding World altogether. It is a true shame that those who are ,,officially licensed" to create a little bit of Magic for us muggles have no Idea anymore, how to do so. And to sell such 1 $ products for such an incredible amount of money is honestly a tragedy! Totally with you, Cherry! You speak out what we feel in our fan hearts!
I feel like the Loot Crate is kinda just representative of the state of the Wizarding World brand in general these days. Zero imagination, zero passion, just unabashed money grabbing. Look at the items at the new HP store in New York, it's just clothes with house names on them. There's no artistry or creativity behind any of it, and that's why we fell in love with the Wizarding World in the first place.
I've never bought off of Etsy but have seen tik toks of ppl making things they sell on there and it always looks amazing so I have to agree with you there
For some reason, this box had me think of someone going through a wizarding world store, finding out the items they had that weren't selling, and putting them in this box.
It looks like the corporate company has taken all the merch no one has bought, shoved it all in a mystery box and sold it... It's just a way they can make money on the crap no one wanted in the first place. Bravo for the honesty Cherry!!!
They actually did a keyring with that a while ago in a not-DA themed box... I still have to receive this one as I have a subscription, I'm already disappointed :(
Same, I thought either a little metal coin or the pin design. I also thought they could've included something to do with Sneak (when Marietta Edgecombe betrays them and gets a few spots) as well.
The DA coin would have been awesome. Also Harry's handwritten list of spells to teach. Picture of previous order of the phoenix members. Pin could be a letter I (for Inquisitorial Squad). Book covers or journals of Jinxes for the jinxed, etc. (Books in Room of Rq. )
I'm glad as an influencer you are able to speak out and tell the makers of this crate what many of us are thinking. I honestly wouldn't buy any of those items.

I don't mean to sound like everyone else here, but I am telling you guys honestly. Normally, when I see a subscription box unboxing I will see at least one item that I see will be like "I MUST HAVE THIS!". But being honest, I can 100% see why Cherry is disappointed, there is not a single item in here that is worth keeping in my opinion.
Oh yeah defo ! I almost prefer them to good crates because it shows that it’s not always great stuff! I think most of these subscription boxes have a limited shelf life because there’s only really so many items you can put in there !
Seems like the "pirated" knockoffs you often see sold at flea markets and someone in the company thought this is a way to save money. Quality was thrown out the window.

I absolutely understand what you mean about them not being magical enough. And I agree with what you mean about "They're meant to be exclusive, but I wouldn't buy this anywhere else anyway". It's disappointing that that's the best we can get from the "Official" Licensed Harry Potter crate. Hopefully Loot Crate just hasn't had a chance to work on the improvements you suggested yet? Maybe they already had a few months of boxes planned and manufactured and the next ones will be better? That being said, while it's not to my taste, I can see where the beanbag game is at least fairly clever! You've got the practice dummy that you're meant to hit with beanbag "spells"....Maybe I'm just being overly optimistic...lol
Loot Crate started having troubles with this, and EVERY box, a few years ago. The quality reduced, items were missing, and then, boxes just never arrived. For months. They had no answer, they ran and hid. I believe they got a new owner, who just wants to sell items and make money, not provide goods for geeks like they did in the beginning. The subscribers beg and pleaded with Loot Crate for over a year, asking for better items, to even just GET the boxes that were paid for, and the response was never very inspiring. Either no response, or too bad, or please wait, or some other excuse. I still never received items from some of these boxes that I paid for, and finally got it canceled forever by going through my bank and having them not allow any charges from Loot Crate! I don't miss it, there are far better HP boxes out there.
I was also thinking that maybe they had not had time to improve yet. If so, I hope they will send their improved box to Cherry when it comes out and tell her that they listened to the feedbacks and tried to do better !
Yeah, the beanbag game at least could be used as some drinking game at parties. People do play beerpong after all. And I agree, I also think they wouldn't have had time to improve the box since Cherry's last video.
The creativity and design of the items are just so lacking, I honesty wouldn’t want anything in the crate. Cherry deserves better, every witch or wizard deserves better, we need more magical things in the crate. It seems just very cold and corporate and like they're keeping production costs down to recover from the financial trouble they were in before, so everything feels cheap.
Cherry I would love to know what your opinion is on the future of Harry Potter subscription boxes - at what point will everything be “over done”? I would love to know your opinion in general about how subscription boxes can keep it fresh and exciting after years and year. I personally think that LitJoy does it right - less frequent and better quality instead of pumping out lower quality items month after month.
5:45 I think if loot crate would made a young wizard and witches box, bean bag thing would be cool. Like put the bean bag and a shirt and some fun wands (sound/light) and some letter or postcard like s.o. from hogwarts writes them so kids get encouraged to read and write by themselves. But for adults I go with cherry's opinion. Collectable and things wich you think they are straight from the wizardingwold and every witch/wizard have them on their shelf, that's what an adult want.
Your review is spot on, I would be so disappointed if I bought that crate. It is obvious they just stick a brand on items and think that's good enough. I bought 2 crates a couple of years ago and only liked the pins back then (magical creature series).
I got excited at first when you showed the jigsaw puzzle, but then saw the picture on it and was like what even is that supposed to be. There's so many nice licensed wizarding puzzles and they choose to include this? Your idea about a DA member t-shirt would have been so cool to recieve. Like with the DA logo or something simple that doesn't scream Harry Potter but still feels magical to those who knows what it stands for.
Considering that The Order of The Phoenix is my favorite movie and Dumbledores Army is one of my favorite parts I’m kinda disappointed by just watching this video, and I didn’t even buy the box.
I love that you gave your honest opinion. Everything you said is what I feel too. This stuff is what a 12 year old who likes the movies gets. I can’t put anything in that box on a shelf to display at all. It’s just such bad quality and the colours scream clown party to me, just not very magical at all. It’s insane to see the quality of something as simple as a notebook in the Litjoy crates etc, compared to this. Like Lootcrate and Warner are under preforming against an indie company?
It’s 100% because companies like Lootcrate and Warner just want the money in their pockets. LitJoy, Azkabox, and these other indie subscription boxes fill their boxes with small shop / Etsy shop very very small companies. These small shops know what the people want. Because they are the people. “For the people by the people”.
Also her reaction to each item was so sad! You could just see her optimism weaning with each reveal. I genuinely hope Loot Crate does something with this feedback because this box was awful.
i remember watching the first videos of the loot crate and you were so excited and they were great! and i’ve definitely seen it go down hill, i didn’t pay for this and i felt like it was a waste of money, i felt like they could have done something so cool for dumbledoors army. i’m 16, and i can think of so many cool things to make for the theme dumbledoors army, and none of the stuff in this box was even half of the creativity i was thinking.
"They are willing to listen" is not what i experienced for the last one and a half years. I ordered the September 2019 box and after two times telling me they will send a replacement after the first got lost in transit and never sending them i am so done with them and have no energy to talk to them anymore. The worst costumer service i ever had for anything, so no surprise they also don't listen to what people want inside the box
only reason they reached out is because she is one of the few people that is honest in her opinions and she was blasting them on here. they worry about reputation. because she is not sponsored, they can't control what she says. I wouldn't be surprise if after this, they try to send her some sponsored boxes in hope she would retract her bad review.
i would agree with you cherry with the items in this crate - i liked the idea of the cap but i would not get any of these items. Also, i highly appreciate your honesty in the loot crate as it helps everyone improve and create more magic!

I wouldn’t want any of that stuff. I would expect to see that stuff in a cheap store like Poundland. I used to love this box so much but very glad I cancelled it 😕

The books and movies have nothing but warm and fuzzy nostalgia for me and I could watch stuff like this everyday! I also had no idea these subscriptions existed so my wallet will feel the brunt of my newest discovery lol
Its an absolute nightmare. I would cry if I got that box! As an collector you want things that will make your heart skip but these are horrendous. I remember boxes with cat plates and other things that u see in the movies or read about in the books and those things are the things that we want. We dont want merchandise unless its a cool one (robe or Weasley sweater). We dont need stuff made for kids. Kids these days dont even now how special HP is but for us who has actually grown up with HP, we care about it sooo much. Kids are not spending money, we are! So im angry and I fully support your opinions about this. You are not alone 😅
Honestly this box is not only disappointing, I think it’s actually a shame...considering how much they sell for and that they’re official. It looks super cheap, like they do not care at all anymore and they did not put any thought into this... anyway thanks for being honest Cherry! For me the name 'loot crate' means treasures, collectibles, and value. If I would get a box like this, I would ask for refund. It was really childish. :/

Awww Cherry I can hear the disappointment (and sadness) in your voice. Unfortunately the Wizarding World franchise isn't the only franchise Lootcrate has failed, as they also made a complete and utter mess with the Star Trek boxes (Star Trek Mission crate). So I (and many Trekkers & Trekkies) sympathise with you!!!
I am willing to do this, however I’m also aware that these crates are curated and planned months in advance - so it might be a long while until any changes are made (if any).
Little late, like a month, but UA-cam just suggested this video to me on my front page - but honestly, it's not just the Wizarding World Loot Crate that's gone from Wonderful to get and open when it started, to super lack luster and feeling like you aren't getting your money's worth. I have joined several of the Loot Crates for a while in the beginning, and the Anime Crate, the Firefly, and the Wizarding World Crates all started out really strong, like they knew what they were doing and it was going to be amazing. And one by one they all seemed to slowly drop in the creativity of the items to match the themes and, in my opinion, dropped in quality - cheaper so they could afford to buy more to cover the subscriptions they get. I absolutely adored the Wizarding World crates when they first started and was always super excited to get them. But the quality started to dip, and then they hit a real rocky issue with the shipping dates - My last Crate for Wizarding World was September 2019 - Because of all the shipping delays I got it like mid March 2020 and had forgotten that I was even supposed to be getting it because they hadn't even sent out tracking to me about it. (And by shipping delays I don't mean because the post office took ages to deliver it, like, they didn't have items for the crate in so they didn't ship it until March.) I feel like, in some ways Loot Crate as a company expanded far too fast in all different directions and fandoms to supply different crates to everything so they could capitalize on them, and the quality and effort to make each box really special just kind of evaporated. Which, honestly is really sad not just because they're the licensed subscription box for the Wizarding World, but because they really did use to be so enjoyable and special.
In my opinion, lots of the boxes that come from smaller companies or even small businesses on things like Etsy provide much more exciting and engaging loot boxes based on the Harry Potter franchise. Most of the items in the ‘official’ boxes seem like quickly thought of concepts and there are so many missed opportunities with how creative you can truly be with the vast majority of Harry Potter loot crates
The shirt is being sold at Hot Topic with a slightly different print. The colors are a bit different, but it is the exact same shirt. I knew that shirt looked familiar. You’re right, it is a bit garish.
Looking at all the items together, they remind me of what you’d get in a licensed showbag from a show ground fair, not an exclusive subscription box unfortunately.
I use to get Loot Crate back when it became popular and was highly disappointed. I feel your pain in paying for something that isn't worth it at all. I'm glad there are much better magical boxes out there and love watching your unboxing and channel.

For the Firefly Cargo Crate they would show you the next 3 crates. It was a bimonthly crate, which means they had final models about 6 months out. From having talked to people that work on these types of things, it takes about a month to design and revise things like this. Also videos for this crate go back about 1 month, meaning that it takes 5 to 7 weeks for Cherry to receive these boxes. This places the reaction to the comments out by at least 7 months from now. This is a bimonthly box as well, which means that by the time they got the feedback, this crate and at least the next 2 crates were already locked. Probably the next 3 as they would be in the middle of design of that 3rd crate and I'm not sure if they would be able to pivot that fast. Now maybe they received feedback from others before this, and were already trying to pivot based on that feedback, but Cherry's feedback basically won't make it in until probably next year.

Thorn became Ther, and Wick is just old English for Town. My poor wife went from a 6 letter last name to an 11 letter one. Signing lots of documents is a killer on the hands and some forms I'm really cramming my name into the box.
i bought this for my sisters birthday she was crying but i got to keep 1 okay item the rest binned and charity shopped i love alohmora keys so as a sorry gift i got my sister all of them to match my set
I really like that bean bag game. They have a larger one on the patio of the bar I go to on Thursday nights to play trivia. It would be nice to have that little one on my desk to play with when I’m bored.

I don’t know time difference between Loot Crate asking for your feedback and you getting this, but given the shocking quality I would hope that they couldn’t intercept it. Here’s hoping they will take your feedback on board and reinvigorate the line with some truly magical collectibles in the future.
This box was really disappointing. I’m pretty young, but i love Harry Potter more than anything. And I can tell you right now if I saw any of these items at a gift shop of some sort I wound not buy them. They feel cheap, they look cheap. All the other wizarding world boxes, when I watch cherry open them, the items inside are ones I would pay a fortune for. These items, I wouldn’t even give them a second glance. This was honestly very disappointing
Just cause something is exclusive doesn't make it magical. When I watched these videos I was like yes that what I want to buy in-store. Lately, they have been lazy it's like no one care about these boxes. I feel very unmagical other boxes are better than this. I agree with your comment this use to be for collecters they were on their game. If I had to buy anything I would not buy anything. Love your videos.
I researching Loot Crate, because they are featuring Avatar: The Last Airbender themed crates. I wanted to buy the set, but I suspect that the merchandise would be border-line trash. I don't even want to think about how long it would take for the boxes to arrive. Your video has been very helpful in me making my decision. Thank you. In fairness, I watched a few other videos about the subject matter as well, and they were equally disappointed.
Cherry, I remember when they were doing the first House Pride Loot Crate. They had a second wait list for the crate because everyone wanted it. The horcrux pins and those boxes were the best, it's just sad to see these items. Us gals in our 30's, we want collectibles! :)

For some reason, this box had me think of someone going through a wizarding world store, finding out the items they had that weren't selling, and putting them in this box.
100% I would not buy any of those items. it all feels mass produced, like they’re only throwing random cheap items in there for the money

I also thought they could've included something to do with Sneak (when Marietta Edgecombe betrays them and gets a few spots) as well.
The DA coin would have been awesome. Also Harry's handwritten list of spells to teach. Picture of previous order of the phoenix members. Pin could be a letter I (for Inquisitorial Squad). Book covers or journals of Jinxes for the jinxed, etc. (Books in Room of Rq. )
I'm glad as an influencer you are able to speak out and tell the makers of this crate what many of us are thinking. I honestly wouldn't buy any of those items.

I don't mean to sound like everyone else here, but I am telling you guys honestly. Normally, when I see a subscription box unboxing I will see at least one item that I see will be like "I MUST HAVE THIS!". But being honest, I can 100% see why Cherry is disappointed, there is not a single item in here that is worth keeping in my opinion.

Oh yeah defo ! I almost prefer them to good crates because it shows that it’s not always great stuff! I think most of these subscription boxes have a limited shelf life because there’s only really so many items you can put in there !

Seems like the "pirated" knockoffs you often see sold at flea markets and someone in the company thought this is a way to save money. Quality was thrown out the window.
The difference between this and the LitJoy Magical subscription crate is night and day.

It's disappointing that that's the best we can get from the "Official" Licensed Harry Potter crate. Hopefully Loot Crate just hasn't had a chance to work on the improvements you suggested yet? Maybe they already had a few months of boxes planned and manufactured and the next ones will be better? That being said, while it's not to my taste, I can see where the beanbag game is at least fairly clever! You've got the practice dummy that you're meant to hit with beanbag "spells"....Maybe I'm just being overly optimistic...lol

Loot Crate started having troubles with this, and EVERY box, a few years ago. The quality reduced, items were missing, and then, boxes just never arrived. For months. They had no answer, they ran and hid. I believe they got a new owner, who just wants to sell items and make money, not provide goods for geeks like they did in the beginning. The subscribers beg and pleaded with Loot Crate for over a year, asking for better items, to even just GET the boxes that were paid for, and the response was never very inspiring. Either no response, or too bad, or please wait, or some other excuse. I still never received items from some of these boxes that I paid for, and finally got it canceled forever by going through my bank and having them not allow any charges from Loot Crate! I don't miss it, there are far better HP boxes out there.

Yeah, the beanbag game at least could be used as some drinking game at parties. People do play beerpong after all. And I agree, I also think they wouldn't have had time to improve the box since Cherry's last video.
The creativity and design of the items are just so lacking, I honesty wouldn’t want anything in the crate. Cherry deserves better, every witch or wizard deserves better, we need more magical things in the crate. I just realised I know what this feels like... it feels like one of those 'mystery boxes' that you buy at a convention, for like £20, where you know it's gonna be full of all the items that didn't sell well and were rejected elsewhere.
I bought a slytherin one of those once and got a small dark mark temporary tattoo in the box.

I watch ya Cherry unbox all these amazing things because I personally can't afford crates....but this one ....yeah if I had been able to I would have been pissed 😡! It seems just very cold and corporate and like they're keeping production costs down to recover from the financial trouble they were in before, so everything feels cheap.
This had me feeling "meh" they seem to have forgotten about their target audience which as you've rightly said and that's collectors.
Cherry I would love to know what your opinion is on the future of Harry Potter subscription boxes - at what point will everything be “over done”? I would love to know your opinion in general about how subscription boxes can keep it fresh and exciting after years and year. I personally think that LitJoy does it right - less frequent and better quality instead of pumping out lower quality items month after month.
Lit Joy has great add-ons. But their boxes are starting to get questionable. The last one was a huge disappointment. Hoping next one will be better!
5:45 I think if loot crate would made a young wizard and witches box, bean bag thing would be cool. Like put the bean bag and a shirt and some fun wands (sound/light) and some letter or postcard like s.o. from hogwarts writes them so kids get encouraged to read and write by themselves. But for adults I go with cherry's opinion. Collectable and things wich you think they are straight from the wizardingwold and every witch/wizard have them on their shelf, that's what an adult want.

Your review is spot on, I would be so disappointed if I bought that crate. It is obvious they just stick a brand on items and think that's good enough. I bought 2 crates a couple of years ago and only liked the pins back then (magical creature series).
I got excited at first when you showed the jigsaw puzzle, but then saw the picture on it and was like what even is that supposed to be. There's so many nice licensed wizarding puzzles and they choose to include this?
Your idea about a DA member t-shirt would have been so cool to recieve. Like with the DA logo or something simple that doesn't scream Harry Potter but still feels magical to those who knows what it stands for.
Considering that The Order of The Phoenix is my favorite movie and Dumbledores Army is one of my favorite parts I’m kinda disappointed by just watching this video, and I didn’t even buy the box.

It’s insane to see the quality of something as simple as a notebook in the Litjoy crates etc, compared to this. Like Lootcrate and Warner are under preforming against an indie company?
It’s 100% because companies like Lootcrate and Warner just want the money in their pockets.
LitJoy, Azkabox, and these other indie subscription boxes fill their boxes with small shop / Etsy shop very very small companies. These small shops know what the people want. Because they are the people. “For the people by the people”.
Also her reaction to each item was so sad! You could just see her optimism weaning with each reveal. I genuinely hope Loot Crate does something with this feedback because this box was awful.
i remember watching the first videos of the loot crate and you were so excited and they were great! and i’ve definitely seen it go down hill, i didn’t pay for this and i felt like it was a waste of money, i felt like they could have done something so cool for dumbledoors army. i’m 16, and i can think of so many cool things to make for the theme dumbledoors army, and none of the stuff in this box was even half of the creativity i was thinking.
"They are willing to listen" is not what i experienced for the last one and a half years. I ordered the September 2019 box and after two times telling me they will send a replacement after the first got lost in transit and never sending them i am so done with them and have no energy to talk to them anymore. The worst costumer service i ever had for anything, so no surprise they also don't listen to what people want inside the box
only reason they reached out is because she is one of the few people that is honest in her opinions and she was blasting them on here. they worry about reputation. because she is not sponsored, they can't control what she says. I wouldn't be surprise if after this, they try to send her some sponsored boxes in hope she would retract her bad review.
i would agree with you cherry with the items in this crate - i liked the idea of the cap but i would not get any of these items. Also, i highly appreciate your honesty in the loot crate as it helps everyone improve and create more magic!

I am so glad I’ve found you. I know we Potter-Heads are afoot but I never even thought to look on UA-cam for content like this. The books and movies have nothing but warm and fuzzy nostalgia for me and I could watch stuff like this everyday! I also had no idea these subscriptions existed so my wallet will feel the brunt of my newest discovery lol

Its an absolute nightmare. I would cry if I got that box! As an collector you want things that will make your heart skip but these are horrendous. I remember boxes with cat plates and other things that u see in the movies or read about in the books and those things are the things that we want. We dont want merchandise unless its a cool one (robe or Weasley sweater). We dont need stuff made for kids. Kids these days dont even now how special HP is but for us who has actually grown up with HP, we care about it sooo much. Kids are not spending money, we are! So im angry and I fully support your opinions about this. You are not alone 😅

For me the name 'loot crate' means treasures, collectibles, and value. If I would get a box like this, I would ask for refund. It was really childish. :/

Awww Cherry I can hear the disappointment (and sadness) in your voice. Unfortunately the Wizarding World franchise isn't the only franchise Lootcrate has failed, as they also made a complete and utter mess with the Star Trek boxes (Star Trek Mission crate).
So I (and many Trekkers & Trekkies) sympathise with you!!!
Maybe give them another chance in a few months once they've been able to take on the suggestions you sent! Hopefully they take it on board!
I am willing to do this, however I’m also aware that these crates are curated and planned months in advance - so it might be a long while until any changes are made (if any).
Little late, like a month, but UA-cam just suggested this video to me on my front page - but honestly, it's not just the Wizarding World Loot Crate that's gone from Wonderful to get and open when it started, to super lack luster and feeling like you aren't getting your money's worth. I have joined several of the Loot Crates for a while in the beginning, and the Anime Crate, the Firefly, and the Wizarding World Crates all started out really strong, like they knew what they were doing and it was going to be amazing. And one by one they all seemed to slowly drop in the creativity of the items to match the themes and, in my opinion, dropped in quality - cheaper so they could afford to buy more to cover the subscriptions they get.
I absolutely adored the Wizarding World crates when they first started and was always super excited to get them. But the quality started to dip, and then they hit a real rocky issue with the shipping dates - My last Crate for Wizarding World was September 2019 - Because of all the shipping delays I got it like mid March 2020 and had forgotten that I was even supposed to be getting it because they hadn't even sent out tracking to me about it. (And by shipping delays I don't mean because the post office took ages to deliver it, like, they didn't have items for the crate in so they didn't ship it until March.)
I feel like, in some ways Loot Crate as a company expanded far too fast in all different directions and fandoms to supply different crates to everything so they could capitalize on them, and the quality and effort to make each box really special just kind of evaporated. Which, honestly is really sad not just because they're the licensed subscription box for the Wizarding World, but because they really did use to be so enjoyable and special.
In my opinion, lots of the boxes that come from smaller companies or even small businesses on things like Etsy provide much more exciting and engaging loot boxes based on the Harry Potter franchise. Most of the items in the ‘official’ boxes seem like quickly thought of concepts and there are so many missed opportunities with how creative you can truly be with the vast majority of Harry Potter loot crates

The shirt is being sold at Hot Topic with a slightly different print. The colors are a bit different, but it is the exact same shirt. I knew that shirt looked familiar. You’re right, it is a bit garish.
Looking at all the items together, they remind me of what you’d get in a licensed showbag from a show ground fair, not an exclusive subscription box unfortunately.
I use to get Loot Crate back when it became popular and was highly disappointed.

Was this crate created after they've had a chance to take advise or was this one already in the books? Just curious as I don't know the time gap.
For the Firefly Cargo Crate they would show you the next 3 crates. It was a bimonthly crate, which means they had final models about 6 months out. From having talked to people that work on these types of things, it takes about a month to design and revise things like this. Also videos for this crate go back about 1 month, meaning that it takes 5 to 7 weeks for Cherry to receive these boxes.
This places the reaction to the comments out by at least 7 months from now.
This is a bimonthly box as well, which means that by the time they got the feedback, this crate and at least the next 2 crates were already locked. Probably the next 3 as they would be in the middle of design of that 3rd crate and I'm not sure if they would be able to pivot that fast.
Now maybe they received feedback from others before this, and were already trying to pivot based on that feedback, but Cherry's feedback basically won't make it in until probably next year.
This was the crate after the last one, that I accidentally ordered. So no - however if they improve, I’ll happily review again.
@@lazyhomebody1356 Yes, it is my real last name. It comes from the town of Blackthorn, about a 2 hour drive north of Greenwich. Black was shortened to Bla. Thorn became Ther, and Wick is just old English for Town.
My poor wife went from a 6 letter last name to an 11 letter one. Signing lots of documents is a killer on the hands and some forms I'm really cramming my name into the box.

I really like that bean bag game. They have a larger one on the patio of the bar I go to on Thursday nights to play trivia. It would be nice to have that little one on my desk to play with when I’m bored.

I don’t know time difference between Loot Crate asking for your feedback and you getting this, but given the shocking quality I would hope that they couldn’t intercept it. Here’s hoping they will take your feedback on board and reinvigorate the line with some truly magical collectibles in the future.
This box was really disappointing. I’m pretty young, but i love Harry Potter more than anything. And I can tell you right now if I saw any of these items at a gift shop of some sort I wound not buy them. They feel cheap, they look cheap. All the other wizarding world boxes, when I watch cherry open them, the items inside are ones I would pay a fortune for. These items, I wouldn’t even give them a second glance. This was honestly very disappointing

I'm watching a Loot Crate unboxing from late last year with a Room of Requirement theme, and it weirdly has more DA themed items then the DA crate.
Just cause something is exclusive doesn't make it magical. When I watched these videos I was like yes that what I want to buy in-store. Lately, they have been lazy it's like no one care about these boxes. I feel very unmagical other boxes are better than this. I agree with your comment this use to be for collecters they were on their game. If I had to buy anything I would not buy anything. Love your videos.

I researching Loot Crate, because they are featuring Avatar: The Last Airbender themed crates. I wanted to buy the set, but I suspect that the merchandise would be border-line trash. I don't even want to think about how long it would take for the boxes to arrive. Your video has been very helpful in me making my decision. Thank you. In fairness, I watched a few other videos about the subject matter as well, and they were equally disappointed.
Cherry, I remember when they were doing the first House Pride Loot Crate. They had a second wait list for the crate because everyone wanted it. The horcrux pins and those boxes were the best, it's just sad to see these items. Us gals in our 30's, we want collectibles! :)
