The most exotic place I’ve ever visited. Like going back to 1950. Bodies burning by the river, cows running the streets and old men pushing rickshaws full of textiles. Loved it….

Thank you very much for this one it has not changed much in 43 years travel there myself in April 79 after a month on the road between eastern England and Kathmandu. It looks practically the same it is astounding to Me how unchanged it is. When we were there we stayed on Freak street Probably not still called that in 2022 it was just off the main square with all the pagodas and the cost of the hotel was 50p a night :-) Nepal was very refreshing after India; Cooler; people friendlier a lot less stressed and as you described in 2022 a lot less hassles and hustles cool country remember it very fondly Enjoy your stay!
I first visited 40 years ago and have returned many times. Kathmandu is quite polluted with dust and traffic fumes now and has expanded and now has massive urban sprawl of new concrete 3, 4 and 5 story houses stretching for miles. Pokhara has changed immensely. It's still beautiful, but Lakeside has lost it's small village feel, with many multi story hotels and heaps more traffic. They have a cable car to the top of Sarangkot, so not many people do the one-day trek there anymore. It's not advised to swim in the lake now as we did 40 years ago. One thing that hasn't changed is the road from Kathmandu to Pokhara. It's still a beautiful trip, but the narrow 2 lane road has got so bad (bumpy, dusty, slow) these days. It's still an 8 hour trip to do the 125 mile (205Km) journey to Pokhara as it was 40 years ago. But still one of my favourite bus rides.
One of the biggest things I like about some Travel Vloggers, is that they use a deep 'depth of field' when filming. Your DoF is great! This allows so much more to look at by a vicarious traveler like me. Not always the case for me but will be for some time, for now. 1080p is awesome for what you're doing, just have a look at 4K at some stage....I'm not having a go....just an observation having watched too many travel vids. Anyway..big thanks for your vids and I love ya work.
Interesting to see all the signs in English. The historic architecture is beautiful and interesting. I really enjoyed the "Monkey" temple.I was surprised at all the different things going on.Fun running into Kumar.Love from Vermont
KUMAR! What a cool meet up! Great tour looks like a nice area and very affordable! I’m always so impressed Chris with the amazing footage you get from your GOPro! I think I’m going to start filming more on ours! Great tour guys! ~Cara 😊
Nepal wakes up your senses. I have been planning my ABC trek since 2017 but couldn’t find the right time to do it. My knees are getting rusty 😟. Need to return to Nepal and fulfill my dream, hopefully next year 🙏 . Enjoy your stay. Oh by the way there is a dengue outbreak these days in Kathmandu. Better apply your insect repellent cream all the time.
I've skipped the recent series from Greece and Turkey (for now), but this one looks like it could be a real treat! 😁 I hope you plan to explore all of Nepal. I think most people (like me) only know of Kathmandu and Mt Everest. It would be great if you could go into Bhutan as well.
If you're willing to pay US $250 a day, then Bhutan will be in your calender. But keep in mind that you'll have an escort through out your stay and buying and smoking a cigarette is a crime there!
I am sooo happy you guys are finally here in Nepal. Been following you guys since the Philipines vlog and now i am super excited to see your vlog from our own country.
Even if you didn't get a good deal on the bracelet, it's still so affordable by USA standards. I would definitely enjoy shopping in a country like Nepal. There is something joyful when children from other countries greet and interact with you just out of curiosity and friendliness with no ulterior motive.
You have visited on right time though. One of the biggest festivals of Nepal i.e Indra Jatra is happening. This is the most jolly time. Have a great time guys !!
Oh I remember those beautiful days in the early 1980s being in Kathmandu and drinking fresh apple juice in Pokhara by the lake and hiking the valleys. Such good times. Enjoy your trip!
Great to see! - I've been to Kathmandu at least 10 times from 1978 to 2004 and also have been married to a Nepali... always stayed near Durbar square, Maru Hiti area near the vegetable market and small Ghanesh temple. - The big temple you visited is Swayambu Nat, also called "Monkey Temple". In former times it was quite outside the city and the entrance was always free! We used to walk there or go by bike. - You might have also seen Bodhunat or Boudha, the famous Buddhist place nearby with a huge stupa as well! - Many things are still like before - and the Nepali English hasn't improved either! 🤣😂
I have fond memories of my adventures in Kathmandu and Pokhara way back in 1991.....Has not changed a lot.....Looking forward to following your adventures in Nepal. Have fun and greetings from Australia....🤘

Safe Travels.....I guess not Carol's injury. That's too bad. A photographer's dream come true, just about every street corner there is a scene or a story to tell.
Wow, amazing , thank you for this video. You literally brought all my memories back now that I’m living in England since many years, memories back of all the places I used to go with my family and friends in my country Nepal ♥️

Buddhism and Hinduism go hand in hand in Nepal. Buddha is considered yet another reincarnation of Hindu god. The monkey temple is actually Hindu/Buddhist temple.
Glad that you are now in Asia. Honestly was quite tired of you guys just visiting beaches video. This is more refreshing change, more exciting and exotic. I lived in Nepal for many years, never been back since the 80's it was a different Kathmandu then.
