  • In this tutorial, you will learn how to make DIY floating ornaments with your Cricut machine. We will be using clear 4ml acetate, vinyl, and fillable plastic ornaments to create this craft.
To make this craft even easier, I am providing free floating ornament templates that can be resized to fit any clear plastic ornament you may wish to use. I am also providing a sizing chart for the most popular ornament sizes so you can easily plug in the dimension in Cricut Design Space!

@@abbikirstencollections How can I share them with you? I made three of them, but I only had cube ornaments, so had to make my own template! 😀

Questions: Should acetate be the same size as the ornaments or a little smaller? I have the 2.75in ornaments and have a little trouble.

I have 3.15 ornaments and I make mine 3.00, if I make them 3.15, they seem to be scrunched in there.

If it seems a big to you, take a pair of scissors and trim a very thin amount off of the edge until it fits without bowing :)

I have seen several videos on these. I’m wondering if you can also mirror your image so they can be 2 sided to allow for ornament spinning. I have not seen anyone do both sides.

Yes, you could if you use sticker paper or printable vinyl instead but the ornament would not be see through :)

I can’t find an actual download for the template. Can you tell me where to find the SVG and not a jpeg of the photo for your blog?
