Thank you so much for your honest review. It's refreshing to hear from someone thats not trying to push the Cricut product just because it's a Cricut. I have had my Huion for a few years now and love it. Only paid $18.00 dollars for it on Ebay with free shipping. It's just like yours only does not have the clip on top.
I've wondered what the difference is between them. I think if I were to start using more vinyl product and having to do all the weeding I would get the Cricut light because I was able to see the difference in the brightness with the 2 pads together but I would still use my Huion also. I think there's room and a need for both products for some people . Thank you again for the great review

I think the reason why the Huion is less bright is because it has an eye protective layer for less eye strain. As a person who suffers from light sensitivity staring at a bright light for a long time is painful. I don't think it actually causes less see through though having this layer. But I love white tech (so retro and sick of black) and having the buttons is nice. But I'm going for the A2 (bigger) huion just for that eye protective layer and slightly bigger work area.
Ahh thank you for showing watercolor paper because I mostly want this for tracing drawings to watercolor paper. 😂 I’ve been looking for a good light pad for drawing and this looks awesome.

Great comparison Kyle. I agree both are very similar. I will say that if possible I would go with the Cricut one all day long because of their support.

Since I just want this for transferring drawings to cleaner paper I’ll just stick with the Huion. I don’t think I can justify twice the cost for something like this. Thank you for the video.
You said you received a great deal through HSN. What was the deal? The only thing I'm able to find is 3 easy pmt deal on HSN.
Very good review though you never mention that the cricut is made especially for weeding and they have made the surface stronger to resist scratching....and I would pay a little more for a better product...

Thank you for your review! I've been looking to get a light box. Recently I heard about the CRICKET BRIGHT PAD and really looks to be are well. I thought it looked like the corners were more rounded the other light boxes I have ever seen. My right has lymphedema...and I'm right handed...so I have to be very careful about anything sharp or pointed. How are the edges on your Huion? Are smooth or rough?? Sorry...just try to find the right fit for me!! 🦋
Cheryl Cullen the cricut have very smooth rounded Corners and the light box are not they are kind of jagged

I just ordered a Huion light pad from Amazon. I'm not sure if it's the same one that you linked to. I think the one I ordered might be a little bigger and because it was a Prime special, I got it for only $29.99. The description says "Huion L4S 17.7"Ultra Thin 5mm Light Box Pad". I don't have a lot of time to craft so I can't justify spending $50 more for the Cricut light pad.
The Cricut BRightPad is half price at JoAnn’s. It’s worth it.

Yolanda Davis no both of these models are non batteries. Huion does make one with a battery but not the one I am showing here

Michael's and Hobby Lobby both have a 40% off coupon for one full priced item. They both sell the brightpad for $79.99. With 40% off it would approximately cost $42.00 before sales tax.
