I've fished Truman many times by the dam and have always caught crappie, white bass, and catfish it truly is one of the best lake I've fished in Missouri

hook the minnow through the lips, rather than the tail or dorsal fin. This essentially keeps the minnow basically undamaged. I've had minnows that have stayed on the bobber for half an hour or longer when hooked this way.

Hook thru the eyes of the minnow. I have the best luck hooking thru the eyes. Make sure not to have a lot of weights on and don't have your bobber too deep.

I'm sure i'v used larger fish whole for cats, though yeah, i was expecting something realy large after reading "huge" considering i got here from record fish pictures and videos...
