looks great! ive just bought 3 boxes cant wait to get painting. thanks for the tips
No problem!
Wow, you make painting them super easy. Do they even have any hard-to-reach areas and detail? And need to paint in subassemblies at all?
Truly, Agrax earthshade is skill in a bottle.
love your approach to painting skitarii
Excellent tutorial! Keep up the great work
Beautifully painted!
Love the model. Like your previous Skitarii tutorial, beautifully executed. Can you please do a tutorial on some of Cult Mechanicus releases, especially the Adeptus Mechanicus Kastelan Robots :) Cheers.
I am very late but I would probably paint the red with khorne red and the metal with leadbelcher
Not sure coz I don't have them but still
This is awesome! Would you be willing to share what brushes you used to do this?
Great tutorial.
Fantastic tutorial:)
Nice job!
Great tutorial but transonic blades have to be taken in pairs and that rustalker would need to have a razor to have the chord claw
Great tutorial! May I ask what model camera you used and what lighting set-up you are using? Cheers! :)
Sweet tutorial guys. Question; do you think that a black primer would work with a Caliban Green/Warpstone Glow/Moot Green colour scheme as it has with your Khorne Red/Evil Sunz Scarlet/Fire Dragon Bright scheme?
CrazyBlitzwing Since Caliban Green is a base it should cover nicely enough to act as a good solid base layer. However due to the Caliban green being quite dark it might be best to do a Caliban Base then a Warpstone Glow Layer followed by a Biel Tan Green or Nuln Oil wash. With the highlight being Moot Green and a small dot highlight of Dorn Yellow in the corners.
Talk Wargaming Sounds good. Though i'll substitute Dorn Yellow for Yriel Yellow, I don't have Dorn and I won't pay £6 just to get it from GW. Edge Paints really should be available in stores.
A+ video
Nice tutorial. Would personally use Nuln Oil on Brass areas. Would bring out the colours better. Agrax kinda blends in.

Seraphim sepia and reikland flesh shade work well on brass in my opinion
warplock bronze is missing from the list
and brass scorpion
I've been going for a blue scheme for my Skitarii, with Caledor Sky for the robes. What colour should I use here instead of Khorne Red?
Kantor Blue. Thats the darker gradient of the GW straight blues, usually goes Kantor Blue - Caledor Sky - Teclis Blue
Ive been working on my first army and of course picked skitarii. I was wondering, as im replacing blues for greens in the color scheme, what greens would be good for the transonic blades? I only have 2 greens currently, being waagh flesh and the waystone green technical paint. I'd really like to use the waystone green in the blades, but im looking for suggestions as to what additional paints and process to use to garner somewhat the same, albeit flashier effect that was used in the video. I actually get a really nice effect when using the waystone green over a base of leadbelcher.
If you really want to use waystone green I would suggest picking up stormhost silver. It's really bright and applying the green over the top would give it a nice green effect. Personally I would use Warpstone Glow, with a Moot Green highlight a followed by a Gauss Blaster Green highlight. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll be popping into my local shop this weekend to pick up those paints. I can't wait to field this army and take pride in my sexy sexy killclade.
the classic necron blade scheme of calliban green-warpstone glow-moot green-yriel yellow or white scar would work, the yellow green would be a fitting scheme for the radiation weapons the vanguard have too!
