Ms. Witzenburg, thank you, thank you, thank you for putting these lessons online! I am a new quilter, on a limited income, and with special needs child; so I cannot afford nor can I leave home to learn these techniques and things you have in your lessons, in a classroom. I just about cried. Quilting is my stress reliever and I have very little knowledge of it but am learning, bit by bit. This makes it much easier for me to do that! I have learned so much! From those of us who cannot afford lessons, God bless you!
+ livinglanguages1 - I also want to say "Thank You!" to Lynn Witzenburg for this video series and what a gift it is to those of us on lower budgets and /or homebound in some way. It makes us feel like a friend has come into our home and shared with us on a one to one basis. In many ways it's as good as giving an expensive handmade or storebought gift.
I have so enjoyed watching each of the videos in your Quilting on "regular" domestic machine. Thank you for sharing your expertise with those of us who appreciate your knowledge. I love all the extra little tips that you have included...
Just watched this whole series. It is by far the best set of machine quilting demos I have seen. Very comprehensive. I like the "small doses"; easy to go back and watch just what you need to review. Although I have taken (and taught) machine quilting classes, I learned several tips from Lynn that will help me to do an even better job on my quilts. Thank you for a job well done. Sheila Arnold
Thank you for your fantastic, comprehensive videos. I really feel like I have taken your class, and best part, I can go back and revisit the individual topics I need help with. Best quilting tutorial online! I'm off to get the book now. Thanks again!!
I am working on a panel and have done some trapunto. This will be incorporated into the middle of a quilt. My question is when I attach the batting and backing how do I quilt it. Hope you understand.
Wow!! very beautiful. can I ask what batting you use, the batting I bought is a lot thicker and feels very course and fibrous. Yours looks as if it is very soft material it doesn't look at all fibrous. Thank you
Hello, I just found your videos and love them. I have a question. Do you need a special foot for the quilting part? I quilt but to get into those inner curved points with regular quilting foot will be hard. Is there a different foot that has to be used for that when doing Trapunto that we have to purchase? thank you.
I have tried many times with YLI water soluble thread in the top and reg thread in the bobbin. I've played with my top tension and the thread always breaks. I even went as low as 0 still the same problem So I figured I'd change to a needle with a larger eye, still the same problem. Help

Great video. May I make a suggestion? Try holding your duckbill scissors with the curved side down, facing your top fabric. Then you won't snip it.
Lynn thank you for the quilting lessons on free motion quilting it help me a lot. I just watched the whole series. So thank you for your help.
Your duck bill scissors need to have the bill on the underside of what material you're trimming
What you are doing is beautiful. Thanks for sharing your technique.
I discovered your quilting videos today, it is very very interesting, I thank you so much for sharing

I always wondered why wash away thread? now I know thank you
I don’t know why 🙋🏻♀️
Have you tried embroidery scissors? Since they are smaller it seems that they would be easier to cut with in the smaller spaces.
Batting - either 20-30% or 100% polyester? That’s a big difference so which is it?
She is using the scissors upside down.
