    Security gets so pissed by crowd surfing I once watch them pull a guy violently out of the crow and trow him against the stage what's the point everyones just trying to enjoy the music and security ruins it

    • @dtack777
      @dtack777 6 років тому +1

      The point is... honestly, like many other things... Crowd surfing ended at a lot of venues after repeated injuries and a couple of lawsuits. So now they have gotten more strict with "enforcing" their no crowd surfing rules. It's a bummer for those who did it harmlessly and realized there was a risk involved.

    • @dtack777
      @dtack777 6 років тому +1

      Case in point, watch the video on this same page about Everytime I Die's guitarist being sued for his stage dive onto someone.... that's what happens when you sign a waiver, no defense because you signed that you're responsible.

    I'm sorry but people saying security were just doing there job is absolutely wrong. You can clearly see how aggressive they was, it was happening throughout the start of the gig aswell apparently but neck deep were the only ones to do something about it. Mad respect for them. Buzzing to see them again on Saturday! 🙌🏻

    I've never experienced security acting like this before.. It's really disappointing.. I feel like they took things way to far. I understand the fan was trying to get a high five, sometimes it just doesn't work out. I think security should of told him no, not right now and been a lot more respectful. I've been to my fair share of concerts to, several.

    I don't have good luck with security, whether at a concert or anywhere else there are security guards. They don't like me and act like I'm a threat, in all my barely 5' 4", maybe 115lbs, underage-looking glory.

  • @JolieAlexandra

    Is it just me, or is security getting more and more rough? I've been going to shows for 7 years and I remember security always being super chill and helping crowd surfers down and what not, but lately the security I've seen have all been hardasses and super rude. I get it that some bad shit has been going on and they're trying to protect people, but come on, they don't have to be dicks about it.

    I went to the piece and the panic tour and neck deep have been my favourite band for about 3-4 years. Neck deep are the most amazing people there are and I fucking love them so much. They wouldn't kick off for nothing and they would have a reason for this. Im appalled at the security and 100% with neck deep. At the tour i went to the security were putting anyone who crowd surfed out and neck deep didn't have a problem nor did they mention anything so for them to kick off and do this clearly shows that the security did something so wrong.

    If you or the band Neck Deep new anything about crowed control you would have advocated for the band to stop playing when the band saw something wrong and spoke to the crowd and the security to try and sort the situation, but the band obviously considers its self above the norm and thinks kicking someone is the right way to go about it. No one should be a punch bag for anyone else and Neck Deep need to learn the right way to keep their fans safe and not put their fans in more danger by creating another situation like the Rock City one.

    I don't know which video you were watching.... I think they did a great job trying to contain a dangerous situation... The punks from stage are to blame for turning this into a riot. Security were doing what any security would do when fans charge the stage.. Then to watch a number of the band cowards sucker punch security and another kick a guy in the head.. Ya, real tuff guys....... Total bullshit.... That solo fan on stage... WTF.... Did you see security punch that guy? NO... The were tryin to contain a very combative fan, then his partner joins in making matters worse... Neck Deep, I challenge you NOT to have security at your next winnie roast...

    Rock City is our local club and I have to say security are ridiculously rough. I've had mates be grabbed by the neck and chucked out for having a drink thrown on them.
    I've witnessed the bouncers happily punch guys in the face whilst kicking them out
    Saying this I really get on with most of them and they can have a good laugh

    I was crowd as surfing at a Moose Blood show one time. It was my first time doing it so I wasn't sure what to expect but when I was caught the guy seemed to try and throw me to the floor. I thought it was normal at the time but other times while crowd surfing I've had no problem, even if I had accidentally whacked the guy and pissed him off a little. It seems that some security are really cool and just smile and let you have a laugh, while others are dickheads and abuse their power.

    tried to "step in" cue footage of a band member literally kicking security lol. idk there's so many videos of security being dicks to fans during shows, but ive never personally seen security do anything. most i saw was during Seether (lol of all bands ive seen they were the violent one), this group of guys/girls were drunk as fuck before the show even started and they started to fight and security tried to break it up and ended up getting hit a few times before they finally dragged their asses out. Seether literally didn't even stop lmao. i have no idea what song was playing either cause it was close to where i was standing so i was watching the stupid fight

  • @karenweirdgirl2.035
    @karenweirdgirl2.035 6 років тому +1

    So they're are 2 sides to this, you could take the side of the security & say given events around the world lately they have a harder job than ever, & they're trying to keep everyone safe. In fairness after what has happened at some concerts you can't blame security for being on top of their game.
    However, I am nearly 40, & I can only recall a few times things escalated to this point, one was a Guns n Roses concert that ended in a full on riot. It absolutely does look to me like the security went far too far over the top and were being very rough. That being said after the initial fight if certain fans were still really kicking off with them because of it, at the end of the day the band are mates, security are mates, the fans are bonded to the bands and each other etc etc and this is why I think it was so bad. Everyone was looking after their own people.
    Looks like it was set off by security being too heavy handed but nobody was completely in the right.
    I like neck deep, and it is great they stick up for the fans, and that they released the statement they did. And respect to them for apologising publicly.
    Wonder if security released any statement? Anybody know?

    At the end there, the fans shouldn’t have been on stage. If anything happens to the music equipment, the venue would have to shell out money for new gear. The security is also there to protect that. Not saying they were right, but the fan shouldn’t have been on stage.

    I am happy to see them at the MELKWEG AMSTERDAM next week. It's 2017.. but we still don't have security between the band and the crowd. Especially not at punk shows . It's a punk concert for god's sake! The only time the security do their thing is when a stagediver takes more than 30 seconds to launch, or when a stagediver jumps into a hole and needs a medic. The rest is pretty much a religious experience build on mutual trust! :)

    I was at a German metal festival and crowd surfed, then when the security caught me and carried me down, they after grabbed me by the neck very aggressively and threw me away. This wasn’t even my choice, my friends put me up XD
    Bastards!

  • @dtack777
    @dtack777 6 років тому

    Ok, so if you've ever played a decent sized show, you sign a waiver that you're going to cooperate with management of the venue and the venue's security. That's why Neck Deep issued a "statement" so that they're at a little less risk. I still haven't seen the part where someone got body slammed or whatever. I saw a couple of kids get detained and walked out but honestly, it wasn't handled that rough by security. I clicked this expecting a messed up situation and a reason to somewhat like Neck Deep. I really didn't see much besides security being rough after a couple of 140lb band members kicked them in the back of the head. I get looking out for your fans but they should be quite happy that the largest security guard who turned around after being grabbed by the shoulders then having a couple half-hearted swings taken at him did nothing but outreach his hand and yell towards the band member to probably try to explain the situation. If someone gets hurt crowd surfing or in a fight, the band isn't liable.... the venue is, so they've got to protect people. Also, not sure what the crowd surfing policy is at this venue.
    All this being said, I'm going by what we have contract wise here in the States. May be different overseas.
    Looks like they have a makeup date at this point at the venue so I'm assuming things weren't too bad after all.

  • @terrabytet.v5004
    @terrabytet.v5004 6 років тому

    Yeah that's not ok. Your job as a Security Guard for a concert should be to protect the band and the Fans. You should never be that rough with a fan even after the show when the band leaves the stage. We live in a society where cops and people are getting into it because there are some bad apples in law enforcement and in the public so we as a society need to be careful and so do law enforcement so that way things don't escalate even further, don't get me wrong I back the police I think there here to keep use safe but there are those who are corrupting the system and same for people there are corrupt people out there it goes both ways. So now because of this situation with Security everyone is probably going to have the same issues with security. I think security as well are important because they keep bands and others safe at concerts but there are always gonna be bad apples in every work environment nobody is perfect we are only human. The only thing we we can do as a society is to strive to be better than those bad apples.
    P.s Sorry Bryan I know i'm like commenting a lot and its probably annoying that i'm commenting so much on a lot of your videos I am trying to catch up on a lot of your videos and on all my other subscriptions too. Your awesome stay you ;)

    I’m just gonna clear things up right now. Being a security guard I’ve been in a few fights myself. I’ve worked concerts before and yes even then fights happen all the time. Even between security and fans. But you can see in the last clip the fan was struggling so much you can see even the security is having trouble apprehending him. It could be because it’s stronger then he looks or because he’s on drugs. Either way what I’m getting at is security guards do not fight unless they are defending themselves. But it depends on how you look at it. Just understand security is not an easy job.
    But that pisses me off the band was hitting security. Remind me to never be a security guard for them.

A lot of police officers get a bad name for brutality and excessive force but you NEVER see the beginning of the footage that lead up to their decision to use a fatal tactic. I think a lot of people who never worked security jobs don't understand how it works. A lot of bands are lucky that there are people willing to protect them.

      Nikki Williams exactly and that’s what people fail to see. Is that we have stressful jobs that lead up to security guards running on almost little to no sleep, no food, and everyone wants to give us a hard time because we are so over worked.

      manic gothmother yeah almost. Because you have to understand that we don’t choke people. Again there’s that odd security guard who goes over board yes. But when getting you’re trying to escort someone out and all of the sudden you’re getting kicked in the back of the head by the people you’re protecting it causes a certain reaction. And when people fight with you while you’re trying to escort them out you then have to restrain them. You would have to be in my position to understand what I’m saying.
      I had to escort a woman out for being to drunk and causing a lot of trouble. And when she refused to leave I had to physically escort her out because she was refusing to leave. And as I was escorting her out she decided to choke me because of it. Now if I wanted to honestly I could’ve punched her in the mouth and it would’ve been self defence. But I took her hand off my neck and police arrested her.
      So you have to look at it from both sides because there’s always two sides to the story.

    If ppl would just follow the rules this wouldnt happen! Most venues have rules against crowd surfing, moshing and jumping on stage!

      Show me one concert where anyone obeys those rules, it's not enforceable. They only say no crowdsurfing so you can't sue if you get hurt

      greendayforever2k9 Roskilde festival in Denmark has a stricked "no crowd surfing" tolerance and everyone respects it. This rule was introduced in 2000 when nine people died in front of the orange stage due to an overload of people pushing and crowdsurfers who fell down on top of others. This all escaladed to people falling down to the ground who then got stumped and suffocated. If you fall in the middle of a massive group of people who is packed together with loud music playing, shit can happen.

    Health and safety issue. Crowd surfing is not allowed now. Or stage diving. Due to the mass use of mobile phones and lighters in the air people have either stage dived and hit the floor or crowd surfed and got set alight. Security are not there to rough people up, but provide a safe atmosphere. The violence broke out due to the misunderstanding of what the security was put to do.

    I've been to plenty of UK shows where security are heavy handed. I got threatened at a Kaleo show in Manchester to have my head bounced of the walls because I asked for a set list, last year. Security in this country think they are above the law. A lot do a great job. But there is also a large percentage that think the badge gives them the right to beat the shit out of anyone the feel like.

      theTRUSTY 143 so it's okay to assault someone who wasn't being violent at all? That's not doing your job. They could've stopped him instead of almost killing the guy 😒

      theTRUSTY 143 so that gives someone the right to assault someone? The fuck? They weren't doing anything that was gonna be harmful and didn't have a weapon so they hurting another person isn't right and the guy should get in trouble for not doing proper protocol.
