I wish it would go back to the empty 90s and 00s LMAO so we can carry on filming without residents being in the way like it is now. Go back and watch all the movies that were filmed down there, it's basically IMPOSSIBLE to film in downtown like we did in the late 90s and into the mid 00s
Exactly! And he talks tooo dam much, I bet he went on and on and on off camera too. Somebody sold him an image of L.A. that only existed from the 19030's 'till the 1950's.
@@elpipiripau7647But DTLA was on the upswing until Covid hit in 2020. There has been tons of both residential and commercial development in the last 15 years. However, it slowed down over the last 3 years due to Covid and many people still working from home, but things are coming back. I've noticed it more over the last 6 months. It will continue to improve. The ACE Hotel has it's own internal issues abd they've closed other locations as said in the video.
This is sad news for sich an iconic building. For a part of my career I worked in hotel consulting and the hotel business is very fickle, especially if the property owners overextend. _And who could have planned for a pandemic??_ Whatever happens in this case I hope the current or the future owners are able to keep this vital and wonderful property alive!

Domino starts to fall. Look at SF, hotels were the first to go then followed by others soon after.
All going as planned.
Los Angeles is different, and SF is showing signs of recovery already this year.

I'm glad that the theater will survive. I've seen Nickel Creek, Little Feat and others there. It's a classic old theater, very ornate.
La county will buy it and turn it into low income housing
💯
The company was probably over leveraged and couldn't withstand the pandemic. Very unfortunate.
Wow this was my first job
They can fill it with the homeless.
Lol yes I bet someone wants to fill it with homeless or migrants 😅
Well now it can be low income housing!!! Which could be fantastic!!!!

Stop blaming the vid for everything. Vagrants and anti-business regulations are the reason.
The voters did this to themselves.
No, it's an ACE Hotel, private business problem. Don't blame the city for private enterprise mismanagement.

Was your business destroyed by democrats? You may be entitled to compensation.
Capitalism just doing its thing, nothing to see here
The entire area is controlled by Democratic socialists and that drives away capitalism leaving nothing but well nothing.
Meh.
