I don’t understand the no filming thing a lot of restaurants n companies have adopted.... YOU’RE GETTING FREE PUBLICITY ! if you’re smart you create a hashtag n utilize it 😪
ohhireneexo true but depending on which rooftop bar, celebrities and well to do individuals go to these in LA area and would rather not have a possible “paparazzi” disguised as customer lurk around for celebrities where they go and visit for some peace
It’s annoying enough people filming with their phones and selfies every two seconds. You don’t have to document every second of your life to exist. These places don’t need publicity it’s just nice to relax and talk without someone hugging their phone
Alejandro balderas I guess fashion nova doesn’t need publicity either. That’s why celebs and social media influencers advertise for them. Chanel doesn’t need the publicity either but still you see their perfume campaigns everywhere. Any business would be stupid to deny FREE publicity no matter their status or money.
The high cost is not because of the drink, it’s the access to movers and shakers that you’re really paying for. People who go to these places are looking to network, make business deals, and expand their social network. Same idea in all major cities. NY, Miami, San Fran, Chicago, Boston. Same expensive sh🤬t just different zip code. Great video all around. Really liked your Model 3 vid as well
I went to my first rooftop bar in st. Petersburg Florida, overlooking the beach (9/10). We went during happy hour and the drinks were $4-$6 and appetizers were $6-$10. We left with a $40 bill 👌. Outside of happy hour the drink were maybe double.
I’ve been watching your LA videos and it’s helping me a lot understand more about the city as my aunt lives there and i visit BUT as wanting to move there in the future your videos make a clearer understanding of where is the best spot around n what so ever so thank you and keep posting these cus it’s so much help
5:52 This is such an LA thing! I used to work in the valley and would drive past all these hiking trails on the way to work. The parking lots would always be full at 10am on a Wednesday...I was like 'how are there this many people not working at 10am on Wednesday?!'. Clearly need a career change 😂. Great recap as well, made me miss LA 🌴
OMG THANK YOU. I've been looking for one for ages, I live in West LA but I can't even explain how many "nice" bars I've gone to only to be disappointed. Thank you for your service! lol
Shelby, thanks for the tip! I will be going to "The Standard" form that Raspberry Beret drink! It looked so delicious and the EP & LP Bar, with the Movie Theatre! I'll do the "No Mad" Roof Top Bar for special occasions! 👍🍹🍷👍😅
Well done ladies! I work in DTLA so I did notice that you missed the Perch, which is pretty outstanding. I've heard a lot about Ace Hotel, but haven't been there yet, and I hadn't heard of Nomad, so I'll definitely check that one out! Keep up the good work!
This is helpful! i moved from the UK almost 2 years ago and have struggled to find fun bars! also theres a company called 'ROOFTOP CINEMA CLUB' they have two in LA (downtown & hollywood) and thats great evening out !
05:58 LMFAOOO, I wasn't expecting that comment! Definitely took it to a whole 'nother level! 🤣 I'm actually headed to L.A. for a voice-over session and was looking into where to venture off during my free-time, so thanks for the awesome pointers on where to snag a drink with a view of the city! 😁✌🏽
Great video. Some others - Calabra at the Proper Hotel in Santa Monica. Mama Shelter in Hollywood. Highlight Room in Hollywood. Terra at Eataly in Century City. Perch in DTLA.
There is sooo much slow motion but it always looks so perfect and never overdone. I love it! I am addicted to your videos! shelby you are so pretty love you take care yourself outfits looks amazing. love your videos. love greeting from Germany
Ive been to all of these and I would have to agree with you, I enjoy the standard and EP LP the most ! Also PSA she wasnt lying the drinks are actually that expensive here 😂
I live in LA and have been to a couple of the bars you talked about, and EP & LP is BY FAR one of my favorite rooftop bars in LA! Thanks for the vid, will definitely be checking out the other rooftop bars!!
The Highlight Room on top of the Dream Hotel in Hollywood is pretty cool for a tourist as you get a view of the Hollywood sign from there. And Tao next door is great too (but overpriced).
I’m from LA & whenever I travel I’m always pleasantly surprised when people tell me “drinks at this bar are expensive” because it never compares to LA prices 😂 I’m like this is a DEAL!
Shelby Church great, you should move here, the range of content to be developed here is huge! Plus Madrid is the gate to Europe, it could be your base camp. With your skills a content production agency here would thrive. And we have Teslas too. Maybe you should come for a year and give it a try. Worst case scenario the experiences you’ll live will nurture you as storyteller
First time watching you. That was a really good video and great editing..The prices in LA are about the same as in Delray Beach, Fl. maybe a bit more expensive at some of the bars...I really liked the bar with the movies..that would be a cool place to check out.
I live in the IE not so far from LA yet I’m above 21 close to my 30s yet I haven’t gone none of them: maybe one day I can go with someone special and enjoy each scenery of each Bar Roof Top in DTLA.
I really like your "straight to the point" style of video. It's over 10 minutes but I can't really point out many parts that are just fillers to get to that time mark.
To judge how good a bar is you have to have them make you a classic cocktail like an Old Fashioned a Manhattan, or a Negroni. Signature cocktails are designed to get the most $$ out of less expensive alcohol and can be made quickly in high volume situations.
I’ve been to most of these as well. Because of the pool and DJ the Standard DTLA is my favorite one out in DTLA. Also, Dream in Hollywood should have been covered.
The roof top movie bar was originally created in Melbourne Australia, which is the hipster capital of Australia and my hometown. They expanded across the world now and basically everyone loves the idea its not a novelty idea it becomes tradition for alot of friend groups
Ahh how did you skip Mama Shelter! It's such a photogenic bar haha. This was great though, I'm glad you checked out the boujie spots so I don't have to 😅
You should start doing this for food! I
Think it is a great guide for people trying to travel to LA!
Tireshop taqueria for sure 👌
The sacrifices you have to make for UA-cam 😂
Jessica Kent not a bad sacrifice though aye!? I would love to chill at these bars.
Guess We all pay for that by watching n subcribin her channel
Riiiggghhtt??😂😂😂
Literally it's sacrifice at age 60 . People only paying to delay the sad days of their financial ruin in 50 years.
Shelby's gonna bankrupt any guy. $28 iced tea and still sober.
Hahahahaha
TechLead she was looking a little tipsy at 4:43 lol
Moreso, it's not coffee. Speaking of, it's coffee time!
Teachlead hows your family doing?
Legendary bro 🤣🤣
why am I watching this? I'm underage and live on the east coast
theperksofbeingabibliophile omg same.
Im underage and live in europe oops
theperksofbeingabibliophile Lol same.
theperksofbeingabibliophile do y’all know what camera she uses?
theperksofbeingabibliophile shouts out from the application mountains!
YOU SKIPPED PERCH LA, honestly the best rooftop bar downtown.
yeah i can't believe that too
Came to comments just to mention Perch. Figured maybe it was just too obvious a choice...
How the heck did she miss Perch? One of the best in LA.
That's how you know she's a transplant
And mama shelter in Hollywood and Sky Bar at the Mondrian hotel. The video was great!
I don’t understand the no filming thing a lot of restaurants n companies have adopted.... YOU’RE GETTING FREE PUBLICITY ! if you’re smart you create a hashtag n utilize it 😪

Sterling Marshel well said
They can afford advertising for those kind of prices.
I love how cinematic and professional all of her videos look
Also, small yt here and all support helps greatly.
NeverEndingNick people have good comments and ruin it with self promo.
Holly Hummingbirdriver they try and make it so casual too.
omg yes! 💕 she always puts time and work into her videos/content and I love it!
NeverEndingNick do y’all know what camera she uses?
NeverEndingNick I’ll follow you if you follow me😀 thanks! Besides I looking through some of your vlogs so I’m interested.
I DIDN’T SKIP ADS SO YOU COULD BUY MORE $28 DRINKS! 🙋🏻♀️❤️

Nice gig. Great guide. Thank you, Shelby.
*buys $28 drink*
Me: if it’s over $4 I’m not getting it
Sad this collab is over
I will pray it to be endless 🙏😇
@Wall Cutter - In addition to being a creepy-ass comment, why would you want to do that?
F

what's the name of it ?
The Canopy
@@thesliver28 thank you!
well, it ain't Miami or NYC or LA... so...
There is sooo much slow motion but it always looks so perfect and never overdone. I love it!
This is actually quite awesome plus amazing camera work showing the bars and LA

There's a bunch of people in creative professions in LA that dont work a regular 9-5. :-)
@@sayjaibao01188 or service workers and aviation workers lol
OMG THANK YOU. I've been looking for one for ages, I live in West LA but I can't even explain how many "nice" bars I've gone to only to be disappointed. Thank you for your service! lol
Bless you. This will make finding a rooftop bar in LA a lot easier!
I hoped you would go to Perch! They have good food, a happy hour, and a great view! Plus live acoustic music :)
MARS I was waiting for her to go to there, the view isn’t as great but the decor (especially at night) is super beautiful
EP and LP is soooo cool!
It’s my fave!!
Shelby, thanks for the tip! I will be going to "The Standard" form that Raspberry Beret drink! It looked so delicious and the EP & LP Bar, with the Movie Theatre!
I'll do the "No Mad" Roof Top Bar for special occasions! 👍🍹🍷👍😅

"Guys wearing Gucci is just another level"😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
Albate, gucci ra mishnavam, bache Irani ra hamin zoodi mibinam.
you & monica should do this in seattle!
seattle definitely has more high rises with far better modern looking buildings i feel.
All of Shelley’s videos sound and scenes are always edited with so much love 💕
Excellent perspectives ladies, good work. I think I’ll check out the Venice rooftop. Thanks to you two
$28 for a drink...uhhh hell no. NO. Absolutely NOT. I’d rather buy vodka and make my own drinks at home.
It's farfetched as fuck...I need to meet and be around 17 famous people who want my number to be paying 28 for one bevarage
* casually moves to LA *
Seriously though, I found you this week and love your account! ❤️
Tedi Whelan lets support each others channel 🤗

I’ve been waiting for this since the vlog clips from Morgan yay🤗
Great video. Some others - Calabra at the Proper Hotel in Santa Monica. Mama Shelter in Hollywood. Highlight Room in Hollywood. Terra at Eataly in Century City. Perch in DTLA.
Always looking for a good bar to go chill at when in la, thanks so much for making this video. Definitely will be checking out the last one

28 for a drink? oh no i go to the liquor store for a 1/3 of that omg
i really liked this concept and it really helped me find my next date night spot :)
I’ve been to the high rooftop and on chilly nights they give you super cute blankets. It’s a great place to watch the sunset
You left out 2 that I know of. 1. Momma Shelter 2. SIXTY both are absolutely amazing. Great food drinks and views
THANK YOU FOR THIS !!! Ima be in LA next week and I seriously need to go to EP & LP now by watching this!!
Thanks for taking the fun out of discovering a LA rooftop gem 💎
I live half way across the world with zero chance of ever visiting LA. But I enjoyed watching this. Thanks
How could you miss Perch in DTLA??! It beats all those other rooftops in terms of view
great chemistry between you two
Just what I needed! Just booked a flight to LA 🙌🏻 now I’ll know where to go since it’ll all be new to me! thank you!!! 💁🏻♀️
As someone who’s living in LA and is about to turn 21 this was great 😩✨
You have to go back to Perch in downtown! That’s my fave dtla rooftop
Oh yea I love that one!!
Once again great job dear Shelby!!!
I literally LOL’ed when she said the food was $40!!! That’s a grocery bill! Did the meal speak for the price?
I’m visiting LA when I turn 21!! Excited to visit some of these places
Perch, Mama's Shelter, Andaz, Dream, there are a bunch more.
I enjoyed this. It was Fun to see some of the Rooftop bars out west.
Your videos are so amazing they help so much like each and every time
You're talking style is amazing
The Highlight Room on top of the Dream Hotel in Hollywood is pretty cool for a tourist as you get a view of the Hollywood sign from there. And Tao next door is great too (but overpriced).
Yes!!!! The type of content I enjoy lolo
I am addicted to your videos!

Lol SO true
Rooftop bars are for the fancyyy
That last one looks awesome!!
Shelby Church has the most pronounced vocal fry I've ever heard on anyone. She takes vocal fry to the next level and I think she does it on purpose.
Love these type of videos. I was actually going to start going to all the LA rooftops but you just helped me out by saving time and money! Lol
I loved your "uuuuuuuuh" when you tasted the cocktail at the last place :-D You should totally come to Madrid, rooftops here are other level
I’ve been to Madrid I love it!
Shelby Church great, you should move here, the range of content to be developed here is huge! Plus Madrid is the gate to Europe, it could be your base camp. At 8:47 😍
This video was really well done. Great job
i love these kinds of videos you make!!
Basically you're paying for the view! I'm interested in Spire 73! I will definitely check that place out!
You should totally do more of these for food! Like desserts or something. I love these types of videos!
I'm used to cocktails for $12-$13, but then again I haven't done rooftop bars on my nonexistent bucket list lol
You are great for doing this. Thanks!
I really like the quality of your videos and the presentation 😊
omg that last bar ep&lp looked so cool 💕 definitely need to go there

surprised you didn't go to the Perch downtown. I love that place!
You didn’t mention my favorite rooftop bar ..which I’m glad because it’s a hidden gem in LA where celebrities go to😜
Soho house?
Tg for you making this videos lol looking for a good place for first date and this is saving me so much research thank you!
Y'all! She forgot LA Perch HIGHLY recommend that place! Expensive ofcourse but amazing very laid back and beautiful
I really like your "straight to the point" style of video. It's over 10 minutes but I can't really point out many parts that are just fillers to get to that time mark.
I love your concept here! I’ve been doing the same but with new happy hour places near my area lol! Love rooftop bars!
The Perch in DTLA !!! Can’t skip the Perch
To judge how good a bar is you have to have them make you a classic cocktail like an Old Fashioned a Manhattan, or a Negroni. Signature cocktails are designed to get the most $$ out of less expensive alcohol and can be made quickly in high volume situations.
Lol cocktails are $15-18 in most bars in NYC. It’s actually a bonus to have a rooftop view/ beach view for that price too
I’ve been to most of these as well.
