Hard to call CJ GJ a key loss for the lions the guy only played two or three games before being injured and gone for the rest of the regular season only to return to be a rotational player in the playoffs.
Hopefully the run defense finally can come through no reason a team should be able to put hat on hat every time and run the ball down our throat I think we have a good d line nd a good coach and I think since mike Macdonald actually brings a scheme, his scheme, that’s built around our players and we won’t be terrible I like the ranking at 16 go hawks💚💙
The Browns defense was #16 in scoring last year. Every team that made it into the redzone walked into the endzone. Teams that had top 10 draft picks last year did nothing against the Browns defense. Everyone else put up 28+ points.
Valid points but here’s my counter argument: 2nd in DVOA and historically great at disallowing first downs. Feel like the team would’ve been a much better scoring D if they had any semblance of a QB who wasn’t always turning the ball over and giving them a short field. Plus no major losses
@@Kodiakk Scoring wasn't their problem. They had a super fluff non division home scheduled last year. Look at their home games. The ones that should have been hard were the Texans without Stroud, and the 49ers. McCaffrey and Deebo didn't play half the game. The 49ers scored half their average points and lost by a last second field goal attempt. Do you have better counter points?
@@Anti-Validation1 Lol ok. So you didn't even respond to my original argument about the defense always being on a short field bc their QBs couldn't sustain any drives or being 2nd in DVOA. And in your mind it's "Purdy missed throws because he didn't have CMC and Deebo." Probably because he was getting heavy pressure from the defense, can't have it both ways.
@@Kodiakk DVOA is artificially inflated when you play a lot of fluff teams. I addressed that. How has Deshaun been with Hopkins? When your "3rd and long" guys aren't on the field, your performance sucks, and your team sucks.
@@Anti-Validation1The Browns offense played five QB’s last year, and had 37 combined turnovers (23 INT’s, and 14 fumbles), the most in the NFL, claiming that “good teams scored 28+ points on them” is woefully short sighted, there was a point last season that the QB’s all threw three interceptions in a game, back, to back, to back, and they won 2/3 🙃
He explained why. It's not cause their defense is bad, its because their offense is dog shit and Daniel Jones can't hit the ocean with a football so their defense will be on the field 3/4 of every game.
Detroit and Minnesota have better defense than the Bears? Ok.. we'll see about that. Bears probably have the best secondary in the entire NFL, while their front seven was #1 against the run in the second half of the season. A little pass rush help, and this unit is top 5...
I don’t think Flus is a good coordinator and honestly just gotta see more from them before I put them higher honestly. The frustration is that the defense was situationally bad. The late game collapses against the Broncos and Lions were inexcusable. And while the collapse against Cleveland isn't as bad looking at the actual number of points they gave up, there were two inexplicably poor moments: 1. The busted coverage to tie the game 2. Asking a d lineman to cover Njoku downfield. Add in the blowout against the Chargers and not being able to force a punt against the Packers, and I think questioning the performance of the defense this season, even post Sweat trade is fair. I'm not gonna pretend there wasn't improvement, but a lot of the statistical improvement came by way of beating up on bum QBs like Hoyer, Young, Dobbs, Heinecke, etc.
@@Kodiakk The Bears defense was not good the first half of the year. They couldn't cover anyone and their pass rush was wack. They were only good at defending the run. The team was learning a new system and they got better at that system down the stretch. It's basically the Bengals and the Chiefs go through every year. Their defense starts off below average and then usually finishes off like Top 10. Also you say they are beating on bad QBs. What about Jared Goff? They beat him twice and picked him off 3 times Im one game. And in that GB game they held GB to 17 points which is a feat in itself when Fields was playing terrible that game. They were already exhausted. Eberflus maybe is not the best leader and locker room guy but he had that defense playing like an absolute unit the back half of the year. When you take into Sweat played like an all pro last half of the season, Jaylon Johnson played like an all pro all season, Tremaine Edmunds played like a pro bowl LB, TJ Edwards pro Bowl caliber, And they added Kevin Byard at Safety? This defense is gonna be even more dominant next year. Their only problem is their offense
Raiders have arguably the best Defensive line in the league their DBs are young up and coming Corners they got solid Linebackers. The only positions I see the bears being better at maybe LB but even that is probably not true. Also if you want more proof Raiders defense was number 1 Defense in the NFL since pierce took over. Not saying they'll be number 1 but they'll definitely be one of the best.
@@Yodanorris325 The Best Defensive Line is probably the Eagles or Jets. Also The Bears have better corners than the Raiders. Jaylon Johnson, Kyler Gordon, and Tyrique Stevenson. I know Stevenson gave up alot of TDs last year but if you look down the last half of last year he got ALOT better. I attribute his horrific first half to learning a new system and not passing guys off in coverage. Also the bears have a better safety Duo in Kevin Byard and Jaquan Brisquitt

3 is very healthy ranking for Ravens.
Subscribed really like your style fren.
Thank you for the Raiders respect
Great video go Hawks
Whitehead wasn’t a key lost. JFM had a bigger impact. We didn’t even draft another edge which clearly is still a need for depth. LGJ 💚

Jets above the ravens is wild as hell
How?
Derrick Henry never did get going since the O Line was the worst in the NFL, he barely broke 1000 yards rushing.
The giants at 28 is crazy lol

Our secondary needs to step up and lockdown the pass game so Todd can keep the pressure up.
Very much so, AWJ’s gonna have to propel the rest of the unit
the Jaguars signed Arik Armstead as well.

Jags at 26 is sickening.
From 32-1
What makes the lions better than the bears?
Patrick Graham is Raiders DC.
True. I used DC to signify the signal caller though in this case, is Graham or Pierce the signal caller
Lions a little too high
Top 3 dline and the banks closed on sundays is not 28😂
I don't think the lions, Vikings, or Raiders, should be over the Bears
