- Partly because I’m still trying to put together a 15/20 minute set for EMOM purposes, but also to get underused bits of gear on the desk occasionally, here is a little idea that slowly assembled itself over the course of 24hrs or so. The five-step sequence is by uPlaits, the two-step drone by the STO, the delayed kick is from the ES Sample Drum and the ethereal lead from the CraftSynth. As noted in the captions, this has passed the ‘plays nicely with the modular’ test while its two superficially more sophisticated siblings- the Skulpt and the Skulpt SE- have not. The Model D is struggling to make the cut too, partly because there is the persistent issue of its volume: put bluntly, even with everything turned up to eleven it’s still barely audible. Any sale details will have to make this clear obvs…
Like and subscribe, good people, spread the word and make the most of asparagus season- it’ll be over all too soon.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you Wal 😊Nice
Thanks Cliff!
nice😀 super chill
Thank you! Got cv to midi in the case too now…
Nice system and good sound.
Thank you! Got cv-to-midi in that case too now…
@@walrtbstudios5430 Thats fun. I used SYNC and CV GATE expander from Malekko.
Very hypnotic sequence.
I should really use other sequence lengths, but I like five steps- and there’s no gate sequencer at this end of the studio to drag me back towards 4/4…
@@walrtbstudios5430 personally I think you should get rid of the craftsynth in favour of a Kobol expander or a k2, although i dont acually have a k2 yet myself, but its certainly on my wish list. Behringer are really knocking things out of the ball park when it comes to analog synths at the moment, and im hoping they might do a kobol with a keyboard that i can use with my expander.
Nice patch! I'm also a user of the tiptop buchla modules. I take it you mean you like the rhythmic uniqueness of an odd number of steps (I also like that) but if you want to get a longer sequence the doepfer a151 sequential is a nice module to pair with the 245t. It allows you to merge and then cycle through each output of the sequencer, so you can have a sequence up to 20 steps.
@@user-ry5zn3np8jIt’s hard to see in the glare, but there’s a NE Vice Virga immediately to the left of the 245t that is-imho- a better sequential switch than the Doepfer (I have both). It doesn’t always get patched though- this is far from the first modular piece I’ve done in 5/4!
@@kentaccordionistBearing in mind that I still have one Skulpt, a Neutron and a Crave, an 0-Coast, two Dreadbox Typhons, a Shruti (and that accursed semi-operational Model D), I have a surfeit of desktops already thank you…
