Apologies for refering the Gibson 335 as a 355. I had been on the phone for most of the morning talking to dealers about a Guild D55 so the number 55 was stuck in my head!
I bought 3 second hand Eastman T486’s each with different pickups, all mint condition, plus a second hand tonemaster delux reverb amp, total cost cheaper than 1 Gibson 335. They are phenomenal guitars, without doubt best value on the market.
I just got one. This was one of the videos contributing to my decision. And wow, am I happy. Plays as butter out of the box. Sustain is unbelievable. I play fingerstyle and the slightly wider nut is perfect. I’m in love 🥰
I have the Eastman 59SB Les Paul and it’s my favourite Les Paul. It looks like a 59 Gibson burst and plays better than Gibson Les Paul Standard. It’s insane how good these guitars are. Also, got mine second hand, they don’t retain value like a Gibson but damn they play so much better
Beautiful sound rendering here...something that cannot always be said in guitar reviews, even those from people with a lot more subscribers that yourself. Beautiful guitar too (Eastman's are simply great).
It’s so funny. I had never heard of Eastman. Not even sure how I ended up getting one. I’ve had an sb59 for a few months and like everyone says, it’s the best’59 spec guitar I’ve ever played. Now I want several more! I’m looking at an sb56 right now
Owned a 335 (Heritage's version)....nice...sold it. Got a T486 a couple years ago....WOW!!!!! Truly amazing tone...particular the neck pick up. Best sounding guitar of the 30 or so I've owned in recent years....only paid $1100 new/shipped. Gibson staining QC is better....several stain spots on the binding in places....my only 'gripe'. My SB59 GT is no slouch either...but again, the finish would be better on a Gibson (but at nearly 2x the cost..so....). Love Eastman!!!
I have had gibson 335 's , a few eastmans ( 330 and 335 ) and last year i had an stanford 330 and 335 type , all 3 brands are really well build guitars but stanford guitars are the cheapest .

I have a T64/V and yes it has blown my mind....I am loving it. This brand flew under my radar for years!
My t-185 Eastman solid all hand carved spruce and maple. It sounds beautiful with the Lollars ! Would not trade for any other!
Love my Eastman sb 59, best guitar I've ever owned.

Nice video mate, guitar sounds first class 😎
Congrats! I hear about this brand all the time. Never heard anything bad about them.

That’s great! Glad I could help you make a decision Tom. They really are superb guitars.
Love that spacey fx chain!
Just picked up the same T486B from Guitar Guitar, blown away by it! Perfect for those Oasis riffs✌🏻
Mine is getting Lollar Imperial pups soon.

Don't hear that much. My Eastman is spotless and so much better each Gibby I ever owned.
I've changed the Humbucker to Gibson 490R & T.
Great guitar have one…..heavy

What's with the fog in your room? 🤣
If you think the 486 is cool, wait till you try a T-186 or T-185 or T-184.
completely hollow??
Nope, semi
@@teodelnorte thanks
T 185 is hollow all solid wood. No lam
my 335 is in the closet
Too much distortion. Let’s hear what the guitar sounds like.
It's reverb mate, not distortion.
@@Lunarrescuemusic was the opening riff improvised?
@@Lennie_peled yes mate, I’m not an especially good lead player to be honest
@@Lunarrescuemusic I think it was awesome! Keep going
