Nice work. Follow you since Endless (played paladin there too on ally). Keep up the videos, we really enjoy. Ps: Do a video of gem socketing, and gear progression throughout the TBC expansion (tier 4 / 5 / 6 content), what to focus on.
With the pvp season 1 starting so soon you can get the scaled bracers easily with honor and they are just tiny bit worse than Black Felsteel Bracers. It's a good option to save some money since materials are so expensive.
are these sets used only for raiding or are they also BIS for solo play in the open world? in raiding you want to do pure dps but in the open world i feel like more mana, armor and int might be more usefull, not sure where to stand in heroics though, still raiding set on or more plate focused?
Hey great video, you deserve the sub!. I believe I messed up though since I am really new too TBC. I picked a different reward instead of Shattrath Leggings. I do however have Clefthooft and everything else you recommend. Is this game breaking for me? What advise would you offer somebody in this similar situation? Thank you and love from Ireland dude
Hey Blayst, since I am a Draenei Paladin, I only need 5% hit set right? since 3% from talent, 1% from Heroic Presence? Any gear changes suggestion because of this? Thanks.
@@TheRealBlayst Awesome ty, would it also work if I wore shattrath leggings and gemmed hit+agi to get just at/over 80 hit rating? 95 - 15.8 for draenei)
If you have a boomkin in the raid + precision talent, you only need to go for 3% hit on your gear, if you do not have a boomkin in your raid, you will need 6%
For further clarification, boomkins have a talent "improved faerie fire". which increases melee and ranged (hunters) hit chance on that target by 3% when their faerie fire is up. If your alliance as well you also might have shaman racial 1% hit sometimes. Unfortunately since shaman even if enhance gives spell hit to group, probably won't have this very often. Only dranei hunter, warrior, and i think paladin give melee hit. unless you as the ret or your warrior is dranei probably won''t have this. Theres also at least one weird ass case in hydross where one side is immune to Nature and he can't cast faerie fire even if you have a boomkin and you would probably want to use 6% set.
I believe the hit cap for 2handed weapons is 9% hit, as paladin with 3% precision it should be 6% and moonkins debuff on the enemies gives 3% also thats why there are 2 sets. If you play alliance you may consider going for a 2% hitchance set because draenei in your group give 1% bonus hit and since you should always be in the shaman grp for windfury totem you should always have a draenei in team. For alliance i recommend going for a 2% and a 5% set. Thats what i would be going for if i wouldnt be b11
1/1 rotation is dead in beta sadly, blizzard said “all seals” for twisting, but failed to express that it is only soc and sor that you can twist from. The rotation is similar to the older one from retail tbc, with a little spin. The new seal twisting mechanic (seals staying up for 400 ms) allows for some fun.
@@TheRealBlayst so what is the rotation now? I will be playing a ret paladin for the first time ever in TBC Classic so don’t know much and any help would be appreciated. Also LOVE the videos man keep it up!
Question, is there a case for Stormherald (3.8 speed) over Lionheart (3.6 speed) and generally slower weapons over faster weapons if you're lucky enough to have a bit of haste on your gear or end up with Drangonspine Trophy as slower weapons benefit more from haste than faster weapons (because of SoC mechanics)???
Yes the interaction between the speed of the mace and SoC will have a higher % chance to proc SoC; however, even with this small advantage, the proc on lionheart pulls it ahead of stormherald.
What's the dps difference between say, Lionheart and one of the PvP weapons? It would be good to see 2.5 mins on a dummy with each Gladiator's Greatsword, and Lionheart. Because the amount of Agi vs Crit across both weapons gives roughly the same amount of crit percentage. Gladiator's offers 480 health, which is nothing to scoff at, and then Lionheart has slightly more strength. Basically, this boils down to how good the proc is. And then I'm curious as to how good Gorehowl is in comparison to Lionheart. Because relistically, guilds are going to be clearing Kara week one, that being the case, if the dps difference is 2 - 4%, I'd rather save the 5k gold tbh and hope for Gorehowl, where unless you have an Arms War in the group, it's yours. Most people aren't going to be in a position to make these weapons within the first month, without help from their guilds anyway. I am coping, hard. Because 5, 6k is a lot to drop on a weapon that will be replaced come Phase 2 by Twinblade. And unless you're in a realm leading, ahead of the curve guild, that 4, 5, 6% advantage Lionheart offers isn't going to mean much. I'm not saying Lionheart isn't the weapon you should go for. I'm just saying, people are too focused on 'Meta' builds and items. And this expectation that every caster is going to be running around with Spellstrike, every Rogue Dragonmaw, and Arms / Ret rolling Stormstrike and a Lionheart just isn't realistic.

Im sure you could skip it and do as youre suggesting yourself, but youre gonna lose ground to others going the extra mile. In the end its up to you if you wanna make that sacrifice. Also, forking out 6k sounds like youre not gonna do ANY of your own mats farming. Its possible to mitigate a lot of the price by getting the motes yourself. Even though its gonna be an absolute hellish tagfest in the farm spots.
You need to be the respective weapon specialization in order to craft and equip each BS weapon, you can drop the weapon specialization and relearn a new one for 100g, without having to relevel blacksmithing
Why don’t you explain how to get them in better detail, some you just say oh you have to be exalted with consortium (wtf is that) and some you just don’t say anything about you just say go get it 🤣
dude you made the best ret gear videos on youtube and by far, keep going and thanks for your work. you earned a YT and twitch follower for sure

You can basically just drop the enchant on expedition hit helm enchant for the lower city one.

Hey mate, nice videos. Any chance at some point for a seal twisting guide?
Yes I plan on making an updated one when I come back from vacation.
What if I have some pieces from the t2.5 do I need to replace them with pre raid gear?
Yes, 2.5 is not as good as pre raid pieces, spell damage is not something we focus on in tbc
Can someone explain the difference and the reason why you need a 3% and a 6% hit set?
If you have a balance Druid in the raid they will prove 3% hit on the current target so you only need 3% hit on gear.
btw still love the guide it's really helpful, it's just i spend a lot of time killing people in the open world
cap hit is not 8% ?
great video! whats the reasoning behind a 3% and a 6% set? what makes the difference on when to use them?

@@kevinschm9798 only draenei paladins, warriors, and hunters get the 1% hit buff. shamans get the spell hit buff.
What if you have Kiss of the Spider? Does Kiss replace one of these said Pre-Bis trinkets?
Hourglass is better than kiss, since hit is easy to obtain on other pieces of gear at 70
Is 1:1 seal twisting still BIS on Beta or is there a new rotation? Great vids!
