ah lol, aren't you on Bandcamp as well? I saw your old school DB profile pic recently under the Fleshgod Apocalypse - Veleno supporters (also bought it haha).
Welcome to all new Anciients fans! I highly recommend all their songs, especially the record before this one was already pretty much perfect, with the mixing and recording quality refined even further in this latest release. This record is truly amazing, can't believe how tight these songs are written. Pure anciients sauce, the bass is mixed so well, the harmonies in the vocals are pure bliss and my prayers have been heard, there is basically an "endless" instrumental on here as well as FRIGGEN ORGAN! Oh my gawd, never have I thought that you would so easily nail the third record in a row with not even a single thing out of place. Me and my mates have been adoring your music for years, meeting up tapping some magic cards while listening to the immersive soundscapes of your music, passing a joint and grooving away!
I liked them from the previous album..... trust me bro... you better thank your lucky stars you didn't have to suffer that GRUELING several year wait for this
Thank you UA-cam algorithms! I was drawn in by the artwork but stayed for the music! Huge fan of Opeth & Baroness and their mix of melodic, melancholy & brutality with clean & growled vox - and this album does all that magnificently! Brilliant stuff 🤘
You put it better than I would've... but how did it take the algorithm a week to serve this up? Canadian metal, with this album art and track list? "Celestial Tyrant" alone shoulda got the job done.
Beyond the Reach of the Sun Але за своєю суттю "Beyond the Reach of the Sun" - про наполегливість. 🤘👍
I'm so glad youtube suggested this masterpiece to me. Just listened to it once and immediately had to buy it. Have been listening to it nonstop ever since 🤩
I was pleasantly surprised the other day when I discovered this new release from a band I was hugely into a few years ago. Awesome album from atart to finish.
I'm just getting to know this album, but I really like what I've heard so far. The Opeth and Mastodon comparison is spot on. I keep wanting to come back, which is a great
Their first two albums, Heart Of Oak and Voice Of The Void, are also excellent although I think this new album surpasses both. Nonetheless, check out the previous two records as well. They're an excellent band who doesn't get the attention they deserve.
As an old school (80s era) "Thrash" metal enthusiast, to this day. I put this album on simply by curiosity, and I wasn't expecting much tbh. I must confess, I vastly underestimated Ancients. The eclectic patterns are orchestrated incredibly well. This is up there with BtBaM, I am blown away by this metal masterpiece 🐉
I’m absolutely blown away by this masterpiece of melodic and progressive death metal. I hear all of the influences (Opeth/Mastodon/AIC) everyone has mentioned and it is coming from every direction.
@@raven2craft RIGHT!? I just thought of that yesterday when listening to their older albums. Their is very subtle mid-to-later-era Enslaved in their sound at times, albums like 'In Times' or 'RIITIIR,' specifically.
@@MNmarrowYes, definitely hearing mid to late Enslaved influences coming through. Glad that this was brought up because Enslaved deserves an ode. Like Opeth, Enslaved has stood the test of time.
Another excellent album from them!👏 I get hints of Alice In Chains, Mastodon, and Opeth throughout, which are 3 of my favorite bands. One of the better albums I've heard this year🤘
22:12 the drumming on Melt the Crown is melting my head. Sounds like Danny Carey playing something super sophisticated without trying to sound flashy. This album is a furnace wrapped in a thermal blanket! 🔥
Welcome, from Canada. Only thing I'll says: What a band.
Albums like this are why I love the UA-cam recommendations.
they're actually half the reason why I haven't left UA-cam. The other half is documentaries and other various forms of educational videos.
ah lol, aren't you on Bandcamp as well? I saw your old school DB profile pic recently under the Fleshgod Apocalypse - Veleno supporters (also bought it haha).
Un band de fierté canadien! Long live Anciients
That cover is absolutely astonishing.
Calm down
Same artist did the cover for the Abyss album by Unleash the Archers. Very similar and both are very cool.
Art by: AdamBurke @nightjarillustration you are welcome
My first time hearing this band, I am impressed.
Heart of Oak is so, so good, have a listen
@@moira4707 Thanks for the recommendation, these dudes are legit!
Voice of the Void is also amazing. So far, I haven't heard one bad or skippable song in their entire catalogue! @@moira4707
Listen their first two albums too
Go listen to Voice of the Void immediately. 😂
Wow! UA-cam algorithm struck gold this evening!
That's some killer album art, and the music didn't disappoint

Jokes aside I respect your taste in music.

The cover looks inspired by some Magic the Gathering cards, particularly the card Soulherder.
Love this band, some great Canadian metal
The whole album is brilliant. I especially love "Cloak of the vast and black". And just two weeks ago I had never even heard of Anciients.
I liked them from the previous album..... trust me bro... you better thank your lucky stars you didn't have to suffer that GRUELING several year wait for this
Svärta ved spisen till detta fantastico band ❤!
definitely one of my favorite albums this year!!!
I just discovered this band today. What perfect timing!🤘
Their back catalog is fantastic, too.
Excellent album!
Mastodon meats Opeth with a tinge of Gojira and more... Beautiful work!

Opeth and Mastodon must be very flattered that their influences are used in this way. Amazing album after eight years of waiting.
Getting a touch of baroness and elder aswell
@@rianvorster430major Baroness vibes🤘
I thought i was the only one who noticed the mastodon influence!
Haha. All of your replies and descriptions are spot on. The love child of Opeth, Mastodon, Baroness and Fates Warning was wanking off in the corner.

clicked solely because of the cover art. Banger album
Excellent! 🤘
