I laughed out loud more than once when that one showed up, and of course I said, "Now he doesn't have to worry about the accent!".
You could see him wink at Morgan Freeman when he shows up bow in hand to with a nod to Robin Hood.
He kinda played Aquaman in Waterworld too so, he could've still been in the league if he didn't land the Green Arrow part....
Most inspired bit of casting in this: Ernie Hudson as Cyborg! Magnificent!
All of these choices made me at least smile, "aww", or laugh, but none did all more, than casting Ernie. Bravissimo

Let's face it. Even the biggest pair of glasses couldn't disguise John Travolta's face. Besides, that's not the kind of action genre that he's used to doing. Considering what little action he's done. The actors at his best in drama and musical roles.

I just had to role my eyes at that. Why do they never cast a blond actor for the Flash? He's been blond in the comics since the beginning but every actor who plays him and every fan cast is brunette. Honestly, why not Alex Winters or Neil Patrick Harris? Someone like that would be much better for The Flash.

@@runswithphantoms1757 Sports cars had cool designs in the 80's but they were often underpowered. 60's cars were much better.
That was one of the few things where the 80's was lame. Cars were slow. They were all de-tuned, downsized, and jobbered out. Few stellar performance cars, and the ones that were good were much too expensive.
I knew people with 60's muscle cars but only one guy with an 80's performance car back then. He had a Buick Grand National.
Today I have people in Chargers, Challengers, and Mustangs racing up and down the road near my house all hours of the night. We don't lack for muscle cars. They're faster now than in the 60's.
@@protorhinocerator142 Yea, the manufacture's of today make the high performance engines that guys in the 70's were doing in their garages. We got yelled at for it by our parents and frowned upon by the cops. Tires? Wider. Headers? Factory standard versions on a lot of cars now. Fuel injection? Standard.
Imagine how massive the production budget would have to be in order to hire all of them for one movie XD. All great picks though.

A decision has been made. As soon as time travel is achieved and perfected, it is my intent to go back to the 1980s and get the wheels in motion to have this film made. And I will do it with a shit load of money so that Warner Bros. Won't have to complain about the budget.
I'd argue for Sigourney Weaver as Lois Lane but Travolta would have had to stand on a milk crate in the shots next to her;).

Kevin Costner as Green Arrow is so funny and spot-on considering the mold of the Kenner action figure of Costner's Robin Hood (Prince of Thieves) was based on a Green Arrow action figure.
That in my opinion was the best Robin Hood film to this day.

This is the most stacked cast I've ever seen in a concept film. As you can tell, a lot of these actors bring so much weight to these roles with just their presence. It's amazing to behold!

I think Tom Cruise would be better as Hal Jordan and Jim Carrey as the Flash. I think Mel Gibson would be better as Deadshot. As for Wesley Snipes I don't think there are enough good characters in DC that are worthy of Snipes's talents. Considering that he was the one who turned things around for Marvel. When Blade came out in theaters I was psyched! I was already a big Wesley Snipes fan but that rule turned him into absolute gold.
With Arnold Schwarzenegger as doomsday, I can't wait to see a version of this with voice overs.

Geena Davis as Princess Mera & Keanu Reeves as Dick Grayson are my two favorites. The rest are good, too, but those two stand out because I’m like, “Why didn’t I think of that?!”
Although, Keanu could’ve been Batman, too. Dark, brooding over losses & could kick your ass? That’s totally Keanu!

@richardbidinger2577 too young and too thirsty for a piece of the action. To fit him and they would have had to cast in the role of Commissioner Gordon, but a more action involved rogue cop alternate version of Gordon. Tom Cruise would have been a better choice for Hal Jordan in this casting.

Dude!! Keanu Reeves as Dick Grayson I’m dead!!! This would’ve been really hard for Marvel to compete if they were able to pull this off in the 80s
DC was at its peak in filmmaking in the 80s. Marvel couldn't even compete at all. Until Blade turned things around for them in the late 90s, Marvel films sucked. The costumes were as bad as the acting. Of all the actors to play Captain America before Chris Evans, I would say Matt Sailinger was the only one who had any acting skills. The 1990 Captain America film had its problems, but it couldn't compare to all those bad versions from the 1960s through the 70s.

It's nice. But an '80s film would not have had modern digital grading. And Mia Sara looks pretty old here, more like her current appearance, not at all like her look back in the Ferris Bueller days. (I think Jennifer Connelly or Catherine Zeta-Jones would have been better choices regardless.) Mel Gibson looks great as the Green Lantern. But the choice of Kevin Costner as the Green Arrow is genius, given his turn as Robin Hood. Nice job there.
