  • Back here with the 10th installment in the Guitar Bucket List series and my Firefly Guitars FF338 semi-hollow electric guitar. This is such a great guitar (and what a contrast to episode 9, huh?) in the looks and playability departments. I thought it could use an upgrade in one area, and now it's a lifetime keeper!

Very nice guitar! So pretty. I ordered the triple pickup sg style from their site a few days ago. Fingers crossed on shipping. I already want a 338 as well, never owned a semi hollow body. But I am waiting to pull the trigger on it until my first one arrives.

Well, you really can't go too wrong with these things. I've had quite a few now. And yes, they're not perfect. There are some fairly glaring things you find about them...but so far none have affected playability. They're so nice looking and you really do get so much for the money. I hope you enjoy that SG- I got my brother a two pickup Firefly SG and he LOVES it.

Value or not I would want the colour I ordered unless I was contacted to see if I would like an alternative. The next logical step would be you get sent the style of guitar that you didn.t order either!

Oops I replied thinking this comment was for a different video! Oh yeah, with Firefly, you basically roll the dice and see why you get. It’s kind of fun in a weird way! So I guess I’ll be left wanting that color I originally thought I was buying!

Thanks for watching and for the comments. I started the video series after I upgraded but for future ones (and I’m sure they’ll be future upgrades) I’ll try to remember to do the before and after! Just doing the videos for fun, and the series is evolving with each new video, so I hope you’ll stay tuned as we go through the list!

No offense all I own is cheap pawn shop specials mostly squires stratsone I think was a steal had two singles and a humbucking nice mix of fender and gibson for a fraction of the price and Ill never sell it if I went to a custom shop what would they charge me? oprobably over a grand and if I weant a les paul delux Ill order a kit and put it together myself as its the sound Im after not the looks Im just a hobbiest but I know a good deal when I see one.

No offense taken! Nothing wrong with pawn shop specials- I go into every pawn shop I drive by, just in case they have something unique. At this point, I have so many (I’m obsessed with colors and finishes) that I think I’m only going to add to the collection if it’s something different or unique. If it’s something I’m not gonna play, then why get it?

Nice looking, any demo you do, make sure your guitar is in tune, kind of important, also stick to rhythm examples , longer phrases and some some picking, not sure what you upgraded?
    Cheers

Yes, thanks- Epiphany Probuckers. I'm still getting the hang of exactly how I want to do sound samples. Wish I didn't have to do them at all, but I know people out there like to hear the differences. I think I'm getting there with the newer videos. I appreciate all of you watching and commenting.
