I came here to suggest doing review video on SpeTool bits and saw comments where people are upset you aren’t doing build videos anymore. While I am bummed you aren’t doing any build videos anymore, I think you’re doing an awesome job! I can tell your channel has become less about build videos and I view your page as more of a tool review channel. Lots of sites used to do builds, but have evolved into different things based on what is best for their business. Assuming focusing on which videos perform better on their channel. Shop nation used to do builds, but now it’s more just a shop efficiency channel as an example. I appreciate everything you’re doing and have bought a lot of the tools you have recommended. Keep doing what you do and what’s best for you and your family! Now back to my original intent haha! Have you bought or used any SpeTool bits. Maybe get some or get them to sponsor a video? I can only find reviews for their bits on their own page. I bought a couple and have a ton of bits bits bits and I haven’t seen much of a difference AND they are 1/3 the price. Or some are. Just surprised there aren’t any review videos out there. Appreciate it!
Why would you knowingly watch a "top 2024 tools" video and than complain that it's a product review instead of a build... I like this channel because most of the tools he talks about are usefull, make the craft easier/more fun and they don't cost an arm and a leg (unless you don't use them right). Sure the dude has festool and sawstop in his shop but I'm not buying either, a good out of the box sled is something I probably will buy though. I also kinda doubt that the pencil company is paying him to recommend their product.
Hi , l just have one question sir, where did you get ur brown pants at 5:27 video mark ? And can you provide a link please ? Thank you God Bless you 🙏.
4:36 An error I noticed that you may want to correct: You provided a link to the Skil miter saw vs the Skil track "circular" saw. You did great here, just want to make sure folks can use your link if they wanted to purchase after watching this video.
I've just replaced the cutting head of my DWE734 with a Findbuytools helix head, and it is like a new device. The regular blades never made it beyond the first hardwood knot, very annoying. The helix head has processed about 200 feet of 4-8" wide and still looks like brand new. Minus the dust, of course...
Love the tool reviews. But let’s talk watches, I think we should have a woodworking/watch channel. You have some real bangers in there, Tudor Pelagos, FXD, Tudor, Pelagos GMT, Tudor Blackbay GMT (I have this one and love it), white dial Omega Speedmaster (I have the black face dial of this one, and absolutely love it). I have a Tudor Blackbay, 925 and absolutely love the silver case. I wear it on a NATO strap, and it looks extremely good. If you’re in for one more Tudor watch, you should think about this one. Nice collection!
I bought the lefty righty tape measure about 4 years ago after I confused a measurement reading an upside down reading. 58 looked like 85. Fortunately, I realized my error before making a cut especially since I had limited stock.
I finally got MOST the wen rulers at the normal not mocked up insane prices, got the two pocket ones, 6 inches, and 12 inch. can't find the 4 inch quite yet LOL

I have bad experience with position squares made of plastic. I have two of those, used them a couple of times and unfortunately I noticed they tend to lose the 90 eg angle when materials are stiff and clamped from both sides. I'd definitely prefer the aluminum ones, much sturdier imho.

Thanks for the list! I am still looking for a couple of those Wen measuring tools! Is the Triton saw in the same quality conversation as the Makita? It's a lot more than I expected given the "budget" label.
@@731Woodworks Thanks! For over $400 I think I'll pass on the Triton then. I'm intrigued by the Skil for that price. I'm only breaking down ply for projects. I'm not making cabinets.
My high school shop had a huge vertical drum sander we used to flatten out our work after panel glue ups. Everyone preferred it over the giant planer because the planer was scary loud. If I recall correctly, the drum sander had a benefit over the planer because the planer would flatten a bowed board as it went through and the sander would not. That meant that with the sander, when one side was flat, it stayed flat. But since the planer would push a cupped board flat before removing material, the thinner planned board would go right back to its cupped shape as soon as it was out. that ment that the sander and planer should be used in combination. flatten a side with the sander, then flip it and plane it to thickness. once you get the flat face, the planer can remove material fast. but we kids just kept using the sander cause it was less scary. If I had room, that drum sander would be pretty sweet to have.
You brought back some memories……. In high school I was scared of using the BIG, LOUD, HULK SIZE, planer. I became an industrial arts teacher, and did teach some wood working classes. I remembered how I was afraid of the planer. So I made it a point to un-terrify the kids of all the noises in the shop. Of courses back in the 60’s hearing protection wasn’t an issue. Come to think about it eye protection wasn’t mandated until 63-63.🤓

The links with the pictures you see are UA-cam shopping links and there is no way currently to link to Amazon through UA-cam shopping, so I chose reputable retailers so others who prefer using those type links would still be able to find the products easily (if they were available to link to). ✌🏻
There are lots of Amazon links in the descrption and the pinned comment. You're probably seeing the picutres of the tools that are linked. Those can't be linked to Amazon through UA-cam shopping so I chose reputible retailers that were available for linking. Check the pinned comment for the Amazon links.
I think you fell down on telling your followers about the small milwaukee m12 orbital sander I bought one on your advice and it's been the biggest game changer for me.
Thats the problem Ive had with WEN tools. They seem to make a nice tool, make one run of them, then move on to something else. I have a WEN lathe that had a speed controller die. Almost a year later, and they have never made another run of parts for their own lathe.
Why do workers buy a router lift, when they can buy the Triton which has both, for half the cost???? Is there issues with the triton? Or limitations? Really, would like to see a video comparison to see the difference, because, I am leaning to the Triton, one and done...... much cheaper........
If I had to give up my FastCap L/R tape, I'd likely quit woodworking. And I taught math for 15 years. I also have their metric tape, which....I never use.
Magnetic stainless steel? If it has enough carbon it will be magnetic. Take a magnet into your kitchen and start checking forks, knives, etc. and you will find that stainless steel tools intended to be strong or intended to be sharpened are probably magnetic.
I just checked and they are still available. Be sure you're using the links in the pinned comments and description and not the pictures of the products.
Links in the description and pinned comment take you to Amazon. The “picture” links go to the products if someone prefers using those but they don’t have them available to link to on Amazon through UA-cam shopping so I chose other trusted retailers.

I wish there was a way to keep youtube from recommending videos from this non-woodworking channel. All of these videos start the same, end the same, and whats in between is just filler. All this guy does is collect tools. He doesnt actually use them.

I focus on creating content that supports the woodworking community, including tool reviews, business advice, and tips for success. If this style isn’t what you’re looking for, that’s okay-different viewers appreciate different types of content.
@ love shop teachers! Lots of good memories with mine. RIP Mr. Hall and Mr. Rogers
Say "exstroodle-aloominum" again!!😂😂
Hose kit is currently on sale at Rockler for $42.
Where is the link for the Jessem?
they are all in the pinned comment and description
Great video but why are all the links to non-Amazon sites? Isn’t this about stuff you can get from Amazon? Thanks
Links in the pinned comment and description do go to Amazon. The links with the pictures you see are UA-cam shopping links and there is no way currently to link to Amazon through UA-cam shopping, so I chose reputable retailers so others who prefer using those type links would still be able to find the products easily (if they were available to link to). ✌🏻
Why no amazon links in the description?
There are lots of Amazon links in the descrption and the pinned comment. You're probably seeing the picutres of the tools that are linked. Those can't be linked to Amazon through UA-cam shopping so I chose reputible retailers that were available for linking. Check the pinned comment for the Amazon links.
Prices have gone CRAZY the last week or two. Suizan 5" pull saw $33!?! That has been a $20 saw unti November!
I miss the days when there were woodworking videos. Everything is a sponsored tool review video now.
Well the title says top 20 tools, try googling building a wooden table??
it is a business, not a church. no money no honey)
Can't agree more. Every recommended video I get from 731 is just another monetization video
Lovin' the show. Quick question though, why does NASA use metric. Cheers from down Under 😂
By the way just subscribed.
Av a good one
Do you have any advice I am having trouble making sells
Yep, check out my free program that'll help you get started www.skool.com/731woodworks
Just looked on Amazon, don't see that sled at all?
probably sold out at the moment
Magnetic stainless steel? If it has enough carbon it will be magnetic. Take a magnet into your kitchen and start checking forks, knives, etc. and you will find that stainless steel tools intended to be strong or intended to be sharpened are probably magnetic.
I'm now thanking you later for all the other tools you told me to thank you later for...I will be sure and thank you later for the setup gouges😂
👊
You even bought that router with your own money...??? How did you buy the rest of them?
Nothing in the video is available for purchase using the links
I just checked and they are still available. Be sure you're using the links in the pinned comments and description and not the pictures of the products.
Does this guy actually use the tools? Like to test durability, longevity, user friendly, etc?? Or is this just a QVC type thing?
None of the links you list takes you to Amazon, so what's with the video title?
Links in the description and pinned comment take you to Amazon. The “picture” links go to the products if someone prefers using those but they don’t have them available to link to on Amazon through UA-cam shopping so I chose other trusted retailers.
@731Woodworks thanks for the reply. Oh, and I love your channel and just about every tee shirt you wear!!
If this is an Amazon video, why the links to other retailers websites?
Links in the pinned comment and description do go to Amazon. That tape measure would give me a seizure! Talk about busy!
This item cannot be shipped to your selected delivery location. Please choose a different delivery location...... Damn!
Maybe a channel name change is in order since you have shifted to soley doing tool reviews. Dont get me wrong i love them but just so people know what you do. You may gain subs from it. Food for thought.
Thanks. I'm kinda partial to the name I have now.
just curious, do you actually build anything or is this just a tool channel?
just tools
Amazon? How come all your links are to Lowes!?!
Links in the pinned comment and description do go to Amazon. ok, Thanks! You have a great channel! I enjoy watching you.
Couldn’t finish watching this video I just could not hear the phrase most popular on Amazon most popular on Amazon anymore
The hand saw … one side is a cross cut … one side is rip
I wish there was a way to keep youtube from recommending videos from this non-woodworking channel. All of these videos start the same, end the same, and whats in between is just filler. All this guy does is collect tools. He doesnt actually use them.
Anybody that’ll pay $100 for a pair of pants has more money than they know what to do with! That or they’re stupid…
I cringe having to pay $40 dollars but a love the pants I wear.
Do you do any woodworking videos anymore? Or at least the inspirational and informational videos? You're starting to sound like QVC late night salesman
I focus on creating content that supports the woodworking community, including tool reviews, business advice, and tips for success. If this style isn’t what you’re looking for, that’s okay-different viewers appreciate different types of content. The channel has grown by adapting to what resonates with the majority of my audience, and I’ll continue to focus on that.
@731Woodworks that's unfortunate.
@@living2burn1 🤷🏻♂
you should not have 'woodworks' in your channelname lmao
You should not have ‘Sud’ in yours 🤷🏻♂️
@@731Woodworks waaw not even trying being the bigger man... you fell off little dude lmao hahahaha
Oliver better planer with spiral head and cheaper.
Do you actually do anything in wood working
yes
Thanks! I'm always on the lookout for my next watch lol. Have to check out the Black Bay 925 soon!
