I cannot stress how perfect the imagery of Jimmy using Chucks technique to perfectly apply the paint, and when emotions get high he rips it all off at once, leaving behind a crooked paint job.

Despite both being major characters in both shows I believe this is the only time Saul and Gus interact in either show

That makes the scene were mike threatened to break sauls legs in BB so much worse - its not the treat its that saul knew that shit hit the fan because he trusts michael and it scared him that even michael was „panicking“ and becoming ruthless
Yeah and shows why Saul started distrusting Mike and hesitant to make him part of the team post-Gus.
Well Mike never did serve Saul any reprisals for giving him a fake address, so you can take that as Mike having a semi-soft spot for him.

Kim Wexler might be a recency bias. Believe me, I thought the same thing. But I had a rewatch of both shows and breaking bad is still better at the moment. Who knows, at the end of season 6 is where we can make the real decision.

@Altaf Kalam While also managing to be a complete story in itself. Some people have watched it an knowing that it was a prequel. Then liked it more than Breaking Bad.

I love the parallels between Jimmy and Mike's story as they both got beaten at their own respective games.
That scene with Jimmy removing the tape shows how much Chuck influenced Jimmy. Even though he was mad at Chuck, he knew Chuck was mad at him and he actively had fucked Chuck over he still listened to what Chuck had to say on how to do shit. Then when he realized Chuck played him he just tore the tape because that was the moment he just said 'fuck Chuck'. The betrayal is because much like Chuck says he knows Jimmy, Jimmy thought he knew Chuck. He thought Chuck was completely honest through and through.
i absolutely love that shot at 5:55, idk what it is about it but i cant get enough of it. even years after originally watching this show and forgetting most of it, that one shot always stuck out to me
I would be very curious to see how someone who has never seen breaking bad reacts to it after seeing better call saul first.

Wrong. It was HHM's case, and Kim knew that. In fact, it was the other way around...Kim took Mesa Verde from HHM when she quit. All Chuck and Howard did was try to retain their client. Mesa Verde didn't even have to meet with them, but they did. And at least Howard and Chuck went about it in a legal manner...Jimmy got Mesa Verde to go back to Kim by breaking the law and trying to gaslight his brother. That is beyond fucked up. And Chuck didn't force Jimmy to kick the door down, break in, destroy evidence, and threaten him...had Jimmy realized what Chuck did was no worse than what he himself did, he would have gone over to talk to Chuck calmly and try to work things out. But as usual, jimmy doesn't see his actions as being any big deal and rationalizes his actions as being justified.
Seriously...fuck Jimmy. These are the repercussions of his actions. Chuck being an asshole doesn't negate that.
That view will change soon enough....
But yes, you’ve actually thought about it and Jimmy is totally in the wrong. It’s to do with his ‘little guy’ syndrome, where he needs to beat the man and do things his own way.
