Jimmy ripped the tape off the wall because he remembered he learned that careful rolling technique from Chuck.

yeah, Chuck got Ernie to change the batteries that he would hear the tape and lure Jimmy into his trap
I also love how the show uses the way Jimmy and Chuck remove the tape from the wall as symbolism. When Jimmy was doing it the right way, which is slow and methodical, the paint job looks just the way he wants it to look. That represents doing things the way Chuck believes things should be done. When Jimmy yanks the tape off the wall, it represents taking shortcuts which is Jimmy's preferred way of doing things. Doing so causes the paint job to get screwed up...and it's left to someone else to clean up (which literally happens here).
It also shows Jimmy's mindset. How Jimmy subconsciously tries to emulate his brother despite their issues. He loves and respects his brother and does try to follow his example. That's why he reacts with anger why he found out he's been played and rips it down. He's done following Chuck's example.
I just realized the word tape itself is used as symbolism itself, Jimmy ripping the tape and destroying the tape and Chuck teaching him how to roll the tape out and teaching Jimmy a lesson for what he did
In Breaking Bad, Saul mentions that he has never met Gus before. He had no idea who he was (appearance wise, at least) even during BB. So awesome that they had these two characters meet for the first time in the BB universe like this. Gotta love it.
He never said they never met, he just said Gus was a friend of a friend. Its possible they might have met once after this too.

Chuck completely turned the tables on Jimmy by conning him into giving a confession he could record. That's part of what made Jimmy so angry. He held Chuck up as this bastion of honesty and decency. He just didn't realize that he was further falling into Chuck's petty little trap. Chuck is very clever.
Also, Gus is back!
Yeah. It was the fact that he pulled a heartstrings con on him. That Chuck used Jimmy's love for Chuck as a weapon against him. It's one of the easier cons to pull, because it takes little effort and because it targets people that care about you. Drug users use it all the time.
@@djsosonut No sympathy should be given to Jimmy, Chuck just gave him his own medicine and of course like all self-deluded con-man with whom the ends justify the means, Jimmy couldn't handle being dealt with the way he deals with ppl.
Really enjoying the two episode a week pace. In a few shows I’ve noticed Imon is always in the ballpark with her predictions, while Abby is sometimes way off, she is also sometimes so pin point accurate and right it’s crazy.
“God is good. God is great.” Abi is so over Walter and Chuck that she started saying grace 🤣

I mean that's usually not what makes people mad a Chuck it's the way he treats Jimmy and others overall.
@@benjaminroe311ify How did he treat Jimmy - like a younger brother? Jimmy is at fault for every single thing you can point out that we see in this show between him and Chuck. Jimmy commits a felony and makes Chuck look like an absolute fool in the lawyer world, but oh Chuck is the only asshole for secretly recording the confession etc. etc. Kind of a microcasm of why the world is so Fd up in my mind, why conmen like Trump are having their way with the country, etc.

Jimmy has conned a lot of folks and then gets mad at his brother(Chuck) for conning him. How hypocritical of him.
All due respect Imon, it's not that simple when it comes to family. Not everyone will get along with each other.
Don't forget that Jimmy sabotaged Chuck first. Jimmy isn't the victim either

Jimmy uses Chuck's vulnerability to sneak into his house and tamper with documents which permanently damages Chuck's and HHM's reputation. Is fine.
But when Chuck uses Jimmy's vunerability to record a tape of Jimmy confencing to the felony. That's wrong?

@@jaypee9575 Chuck is a scummy little jealous prick, who despite being in the morally correct position, has ALWAYS been the bully to Jimmy.
Jimmy, who is funny, eccentric and charismatic, and morally in the wrong, will ALWAYS be viewed as the underdog.
One is a criminal whose not a bad guy, and the other is an Asshole whose a pillar of society. People are always gonna like a character with likable traits over morality. Same reason people REALLY love Mike, despite him being a merciless killer.
It's not a main character bubble. Because I guarantee you that alot of people disliked Walt by the end of Breaking Bad. With only the hardest of brainlet redditors coming to his defense.

Chuck is a victim. Jimmy completely destroyed his reputation and embarrassed him infront of a major client in a way which might mean that he never gets to handle another case professionally. If this was business it would be one thing but it was very much personal. In fact, as much you want to hate chuck for leading jimmy on and not hiring him at HHM, chuck never impeded jimmy's professional career in any way. He actually supported him financially and emotionally in his public defender days (remember when jimmy was frustrated with his job and wanted to quit, it was chuck who talked him down and encouraged him to keep working) and also kept jimmy straight because jimmy would have turned into saul much sooner if chuck wasn't behind him. Not to mention, Jimmy did get everything a lawyer could want professionally because of chuck (because without chuck, the sandpiper case wouldn't exist). He got a cushy job with amazing perks and he was partner track at davis and mainn. Chuck didn't do anything to prevent that from happening and even while jimmy was working there, did nothing to hurt him. Jimmy burned that bridge all on his own. Even with Mesa Verde, you might want to blame chuck for "stealing" them from kim but he was simply retaining a multi million dollar client. Regardless of his motivations, no business would give up a client like that without putting up a fight and if Kim's business plan after leaving HHM didn't account for the distinct possibility that she might not be able to bring Mesa Verde with her, then that's on her because if chuck wasn't involved with the Mesa Verde account in any capacity and HHM still managed to retain them as their clients, Kim and Jimmy would be in the same position and then who would they blame? Regardless of his motivations, Chuck's not responsible for her and Jimmy's failure to have a plan B. So chuck didn't deserve what Jimmy did and whatever action Chuck takes to retaliate is frankly justified.

You can't support a person in a one thing and then discourage him in another Jimmy tried so hard to get the Sandpiper case and Chuck worked with him too. It doesn't mean that one person has to own it for himself the normal thing to do is handling it with each other.And jimmy was ready to share the case was Chuck and HHM but chuck wasn't so every thing was okay the only problem here is chuck .Is it not that obvious that chuck only went to the Firm to talk to MV Just when he learnt that Kim is going with Jimmy I think it's really obvious. Look I totally understand why chuck doing what he is doing because of his mental health problems , so I don't totally blame him for everything because in some point of time he was a victim of his awful parents upbringing but now in the current events of the story he is a grown ass man so he's supposed to be responsible more than that.
I mean from the first place if he saw Jimmy wasn't capable of being a lawyer Why didn't he at least advice him with honesty before deceiving him that he was working with him on the same case and then throwing him away ,ignoring him and ignoring his efforts to obtain the official papers parts for the case like he did nothing

We see proof that Jimmy’s father has a notorious habit for draining his own till at any sob story he hears.
Chuck overcorrected for his father, by instantly assuming his brother’s guilt at every turn rather than absolving him. He became an obsessive conspiracy theorist who will fanatically implore people to vilify his brother to justify his own longstanding bias against him.
Apparently half the fandom is as gullible as Jimmy's dad. I honestly think that's why they dumbed down the later seasons. They were too subtle in the early seasons for the pea-brained mainstream audience to catch on that Chuck is right about Jimmy.

People can freely think that Jimmy is right, Chuck is right, both are wrong, both are right or maybe some ppl think that each one of them is right in some aspects and wrong in other aspects
@@mohmedhassan6875 One can have any opinion they want to. But failing to understand the actual show is not an opinion, it's ignorance. It's like the people that did not understand that Walt's phone call to Skyler after he took Holly was for the purpose of exonerating Skyler. People thinking it was just Walt being an asshole is them not understanding the point, it's not an opinion It's ignorance. It's exactly the way people misinterpret almost every scene with Chuck. So yes, one "opinion" is wrong because it is based on not understanding the show itself.
