    Loved the video man, thanks for the tips! One question though. I'm not sure if you mentioned how many cans of each would I need if I am painting a full kit (splitter, side skirts, rear spats, and a diffuser?

    • @Grey3IS
      @Grey3IS  4 місяці тому +1

      @@offlinezyxYT I recommend one can of each for each piece! One for each skirt, the spats, front lip, and diffuser.

    • @offlinezyxYT
      @offlinezyxYT 4 місяці тому +1

      @@Grey3IS Sorry if I’m not understanding, but are you saying one of each can (primer, paint, clear coat) for literally every piece? That would be 18 total cans? I was thinking maybe 2 of each can would suffice. I just don’t wanna have to order more paint in the middle of painting.

    • @Grey3IS
      @Grey3IS  4 місяці тому +1

      @@offlinezyxYT About that much, yes. The side skirts alone took me 2 cans of each. The diffuser you can maybe get away with one can of each, but there is a lot of angles that you have to get good coverage on. Then the spats and front lip can maybe take one can of each for those 3 pieces. Coverage is very important. 🙂

    Hello, mr grey. I’m interested on the front spoiler you installed on your IS. I have a 2022 lexus IS350, can the spoiler fit on my car?

    • @Grey3IS
      @Grey3IS  2 роки тому +1

      Hello! Since the front end of your car is slightly different, this one won’t fit unfortunately. I recommend checking out eBay and see what other options they have. 🙂

  • @prodigy6X04
    @prodigy6X04 5 місяців тому +1

    Hey man, how were you able to install that rear diffuser? I've seen online some people drill through the top of the existing bumper but I'm sure you've used a much better method! Also, what kind of material is the diffuser made out of? Did it come flimsy and is 3m tape able to stick to it? Cheers.

    • @Grey3IS
      @Grey3IS  5 місяців тому +1

      @@prodigy6X04 Hello! I used toggle bolts to install mine. I drilled into and attached the diffuset to the under tray. I then used some 3M tape on the outer lip of it. Some of these diffusers can be a flimsy plastic, but mine was a pretty solid piece of plastic. And 3M did stick to it. I always recommend using an adhesion promoter before using 3M on anything you don’t want it to coming off of.

    • @prodigy6X04
      @prodigy6X04 5 місяців тому +1

      @@Grey3IS wow toggle bolts definitely are going to hold very well, great idea, how many did you end up adding? Yes, I was deciding whether to get the plastic one but it looks great on your car so I might go ahead. The paint match for the diffuser looks great on your car. I have an Ultra white, deciding if I should paint match or keep black...white kinda sticks out like a sore thumb and gets quite dirty and I haven't really seen it done much for my color. How were you able to stick that top part of the diffuser on the bumper? Did you use toggle bolts aswell or was 3M tape good enough?

    • @Grey3IS
      @Grey3IS  5 місяців тому +1

      @@prodigy6X04 I used 3M for the top part. And I used 6 toggle bolts. It was probably overkill, but it gave me peace of mind. And I have seen a white version of the diffuser on a white IS, and it looked pretty cool!

    hey man, had a couple questions hoping you can help. first, is your carbon fiber roof spoiler the one from tansowerkz? second, i got a rear diffuser that has a 3rd brake light. it says to tape into the green and white wire which is the OEM brake wire, as well as tap into the ground, which is black. however, i got the tansowerkz rear tail lights, and i don't think the brake light is green and white anymore. would you know off the top of your head which is the brake signal wire and if black is still the ground wire? i'm going to tackle this in a few weeks but wanted to ask around beforehand in case someone already knows before i open everything up. thanks man!

    • @Grey3IS
      @Grey3IS  Рік тому

      Hello! My roof spoiler isn’t from tanso. It’s from eBay. And I get what you mean about the different color wiring. I don’t know which color they now are, but I know it’s still possible. You might just have to splice and test them with a multimeter. I’m going to add a f1 light in the future and I’ll figure it out then. But I’m not sure as of now. 🙂

      @@Grey3IS ok cool thanks. do you have a link to the roof spoiler? it's so hard to figure out what is a good product because they all use the same images! i'm looking for a carbon fiber one. i was gonna get tansowerkz, but it kinda looks like it's taller than others? i didn't want it to stick out too much. unless you think the tanso one is basically the same height/design as yours, i could just go through them to make it easy
