Just got my 3IS and I’m so glad to have your videos for reference. They are so clear in the explanations and I’ve already am working on updating all my lights so thanks!
Great channel my friend and great looking car! I have been following for a few months and love the videos. I will be looking at getting a Lexus IS 500 in the new year! Can't wait! Hope all is well!
@@geraldhouser7171 I do not. I threw it in real quick not too long ago. Thankfully, the charge pipe comes with very detailed instructions, with pictures. So, it would be hard to miss a step. Was like a 1 hour install. 🙌
I’ve had this tune since april, and the problems I had with it was having to choose from the Stage 2 Enhanced Throttle or the Stage 2 Pops/Bangs and now I see you have what I think is a new Stage 2 Enhanced Throttle with Pops so I need to plug my device in to my computer and see if I have that updated tune. 😂
Last thing, If you want to get to the new rev limit, u have to turn tc off, and shift manually, or else the car will shift for you at the stock limit (6,100 i think) regardless of the tune😂 figured that out recently
@ i downloaded the part where saves so when u wanna go back stock you can but i started another download then accidentally clicked back then kept messign with it then it statted saying key not on so i unplugged it and tried to start the car and it didnt work at all so they said send the ecu to them and theyll fix it for free i just gotta pay for the shipping what a day man
i got the v6 3is and i been looking at buying one but im still confused on how to get those pops bc i heard for us v6 we need to have our 2nd cats off and others says we need headers so honestly idk if you know bc i don’t wanna blow something up🙃
So when you buy the pops addon and they ask what tune you want it added to, does that mean it only works for that specific tune? I know they have the custom ones you can make, but are you able to add the pops to any custom tune after you purchase the addon?
Haven’t tried to add pops to different tunes in the custom tuner software, but it’s probably possible! I would explain that you want pops and bangs on both stage one and two, if they ask. They automatically applied it to both of my stage two’s. The one with and without the enhanced throttle.
Hey so I have a 2017 is300 and it’s currently stock but I would really love to get this same tune and I was just wondering if it would fit for my car because I’m confused on what 8ARFTS means
That’s the engine code! If you have a 2017 IS300, that means it’s a V6. So, not the same engine as mine. D3 doesn’t tune that version of the V6, so your best bet would be RR Racing. 🙂
I had it professionally installed! But it’s a direct replacement of your factory system, then you have to run a vacuum line to your engine bay. Not too hard, and it comes with instructions. And it comes with two small remotes! I have one of the remotes mounded by my factory switches/ buttons by my left knee. 🙂
Nice video! Just a stupid question, how are you able to see your temperature levels in the gauge cluster. Is it aftermarket install or comes in is200T?
do you think I should consider getting this D3 tune over the m force for my 15’ IS350? and also would getting the PPE Catless headers be absolutely necessary if I want pops and bangs or could I get away with secondary cat delete and muffler delete?
I think you should! It was night and day compared to my Mforce tune. And you would definitely need catless headers to have the pops and bangs. You can try and run stock headers, but they will most likely become blown after a few weeks of using the pops and bangs. They are pretty aggressive, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they would blow sooner.
Just got a tune...decided whether to get a quad exhaust axle back or an intake (good sound but heard it can affect performance) do you have any recommendation on which kind and if you had to choose between the 2, which one would you choose?
Intake is AMAZING for sound on the turbo models and helps with some power gains. But exhaust is also nice. Really depends on what kind of noise you’d rather hear.
Do you think it would be possible to run the pop and bang tune with a high flow downpipe or you gotta go catless? Is the smell of catless super bad on this car?
Hey you inspired me to get the tinted tail lights from tanso works it is officially been over a year and four months and still have heard nothing from them. I tried to get my money back from the bank, but they say they needs to agree to give me a refund in order for me to get my money back. Do you think I’ll ever get my order?
Not sure what’s up with Tanso. They have been MIA for a while. I recommend explaining to your bank that you never got the order, and file a claim/ investigation. Please let me know if you’re interested in parts. I now sell pretty much everything that they used to sell. Sorry this happened.
Yo i have a lexus is300 2024 and i want to add a front lip but im on lease so i dont really wanna drill new holes into the bottom. Might be a stupid question but does the bottom of the car already come with pre drilled holes? Did yours come with pre drilled holes meant for front lip?
@@9_warrants368 They don’t come with pre-drilled holes for front lips. But your best bet might be the NIA front lip. They use the factory front bumper mounting clips to mount the front lip. However, it still isn’t a bad idea to still use some screws with that lip.
hey man could you help me out? I have a 2018 rwd 2.0t is300 sport, running ingen intake, armytrix cat sim downpipe, no muffler or resonators, and hps charge pipe, what other parts can I do or need for performance? and is the d3 tune better for speed and sound or the mforce?
