We looked great at the beginning of the season last year and we seen what happened. I'm cautiously optimistic...look great so far.
McLeod Bethel-Thompson may be the "Elder Statesman" of the USFL, but he's picking up where he left off in the CFL last season- when he led the Toronto Argonauts to a Grey Cup victory.
Once XFL season is over I plan to shift to USFL. Those shots of empty stadiums hurts the eyes though lol
First year I could let them slide about playing all the games in one spot. but in year 2 even adding a few new stadiums only 3 of teams get any "home" games, Birmingham, Memphis and Michigan. You cannot build a fan base like the XFL is doing without playing in the cities you are supposed to represent.

@@oreledoria2537 Defenders fan here, sorry ;) Until there are more teams in the XFL eight to me is not enough to split them into divisions. They should just stack them as one and seed the playoffs with their year end finish. The North division is stacked between, DC, Battlehawks and Sea Dragons.
This game was way higher scoring than I thought! Both teams have made great strides in their offense from last year until now!
Bethel-Thompson was the starting quarterback all season long for the Toronto Argonauts winning the 2022 Grey Cup last November...

Extending the hub concept for a second year was a big mistake. The optics for the XFL, with fans in the stands, looks way better.

ain't no way you guys still using shea patterson at the end of the video when he's playing in the CFL. Use J'Mar Smith, McLeod Bethel-Thompson, Josh Love, Scooby Wright, and Breeland Speaks. There's plenty of other talent and recognizable faces in the USFL to choose from.
And to make it worse, they're still putting up videos in 720p. C'mon guys.

@@ComedyJakob I remember when Jeff Fisher picked him (which was _already_ a bad sign), and he was acting like he had just got his "guy", lol. I laughed even then because I knew that was going to crash and burn, and it did.
Team and league pushed Patterson hard. But at the end of the day, a guy either has it or he doesn't.
This game was the best this weekend. USFL is entertaining

@@NSLUploader If you notice the cameras avoid shooting the stands during the games. I can't see the USFL and XFL both operating next year. FOX, which owns the USFL, has got to be losing a ton of money.

Talent and competitiveness are there. The fans are not. The only huge issue with this league is the in person fan support. If you aren't playing in the cities you represent, people aren't going to show up for games. That could be problematic for the league's survivability. During a covid season, it's understandable but now teams need true home stadiums.

It is indicative of the awareness of the league or maybe the popularity or maybe the hub centers.. but. The on field play has been much better.

A win, is a win, is a win...I grant you, but the breakers defense, needs some serious work, despite the 3 INT's, I get it's only the second game of the season, and will continue to watch my breakers, hope to see them repeat a run at the playoffs

New Orleans home field is in Birmingham this year. There are 4 stadiums 🏟 they are using this year. 2 teams share each field as their home games.
Having a limited number of places to play minimizes travel costs, key to keeping a new league afloat

way too big, they need to play in smaller stadiums to get any kind of home atmosphere. Make a deal with Tulane for example

Not with Thompson under center. 2 time grey cup champion. Was one of the top QB’s in CFL for a while. I don’t get why he left the Argo’s. He should be a starter in NFL. He is that good.

I'd move the gamblers out of Houston, like to OKC. And the Predators move them to Omaha.

I dont wanna hear anyone say the USFL has more talent than the xfl.. terrible tackling. Worse QB play. Less big names. Im sure play will improve over the next few weeks but man it just isnt the same.

The high school team I coach has twice as many in the stands. Never mind the xfl, there's 35 and 40 thousand in those stadiums. What's the deal here? It's year 2.

Remember the usfl is only using 4 host cities. And of those 4 only 3 of them are actually in the city where a team plays. That’s why there’s so low attendance. For example, The breakers are playing in Birmingham right now and not in New Orleans
I am curious how many will show at Ford Field in Detroit this year.
San Antonio average 14k this year. Not exactly crowding the place. I’m telling you the league without Battlehawks fans are averaging 10-11k with St. Louis it increases to 16k. They are keeping that league alive.

This is boring. Where's the excitement from the crowd? Where's the electricity? Why does this league still exist? How are these players even getting paid? HOW THE HOW ARE THESE GUYS STILL IN OPERATION?!?! Seriously, I've seen high school games better attended. This feels like watching amateurs in their backyards. Pass. I can't see it lasting past next season.
