Next time you make seviche put the diced onion with lemon and add salt to your liking and let it sit for 5 minutes. Then add the fish and let it sit 2-4more minutes. Then and the tomatoes, celantro and celery last. Make a video if you try it and keep up the great content 👌 👏
Yea I've done that in the past, but never noticed a huge difference with it if i'm being honest!
Another great video . I really really miss fishing and diving , because of my age and medical problems I cant any more . Thats why I love your videos , they take me back (even though its a different country , and the fish are called different names but , basics are the same ! ) also you give the whole story , ups and downs (pun intended ). Great day on the water ! Up in Jersey in the mid to late 1970s, my Dad and I would catch mackerel on a party boat with 15 or 20 guests with a jigging rod using 5 or 6 tube jigs on the leader. I remember guys reeling in 4 or 5 at a time. They were fairly small but alot of fun. Dad lived to be 94 ! WW2 Navy vet never spoke about it. Great memories.
I believe it! when they little ones get schooled up they go crazy!
Great content as always, Aaron!

My comment is not related to the video but l promised l would send you a recipe l have used for over 30 years. It’s my go to recipe for shrimp on the grill. Also great with scallops or lobster chunks. Here you go:
1/3 cup of extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup of tomato purée
2 tablespoons fresh chopped basil
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
6-8 fresh garlic cloves finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Combine all ingredients and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Add one pound of cleaned shrimp (10-15 count per pound) with tails on into the marinade. Marinade shrimp for 45 minutes. Skewer shrimp on soaked bamboo skewers. Grill 6-8 minutes turning once or twice basting with remaining marinade. Careful not to over cook the shrimp.
You can use 16-20 count shrimp but l have found the larger shrimp grill better than smaller ones.
Simple but delicious.
Enjoy.
sounds amazing! will have to give it a try!
We love watching you in all and any video. We have been talking about coming down to do a charter with you after we move to Florida. We would have a hard time deciding what we would want to do, because we want to do it ALL!
haha really love to hear that!
Good stuff. Love the videos.
thanks for watching!
Hey Aaron . Your videos are awesome, I love how you are the reel deal bro.
im tryin! 🙏
Amazing action!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hi Aaron. Im from south africa. We catch King Mackerel here too. We cook em in an SA potjie pot with onions, fresh tomatoes, spices, devil chillies ,potatoes, and they come out great. Ie. Lots of juice, big Mac slices and they cook down well. Firm enough flesh to keep the steaks whole. Good recipe.
just had to tell you- I made my first ever ceviche last night. I used Mahi Mahi and cocktail shrimp with lemon juice, red onion, english cucumber and cilantro. It was sooo good. thanks for the inspiration, I would have never thought of trying it without your videos. It will be a staple at every party going forward!
love to hear it! thats what its all about
Amazing to see the Kings jump!
always a sight to see!
Good vid as always🐟
glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for sharing your vid with us
You bet!
Appreciate the video bro, that was drag screaming fun, great video sir.
a ton of fun!
@@KeyWestWaterman most definitely
I've never had fresh mackerel. It looks good. When I was growing up we always got the mackerel in a can and made fried patties with it. We couldn't afford salmon or fresh mackerel. I really liked them.
then you'd love it fresh for sure!
that looks it was fun pure man. 👍
it was a blast!
Back In the 80s use to slay em here in Miami with that same rig nice video.👍
thanks for watching!
Love the new look!
haha! thanks for watching!
Ceviche is probably one of my favorite ways to eat fish. I usually make it out of yellowtails or vermillion, but yesterday I used grunts and it still tasted just as good!
never gets old!
Great video! It felt like I was fishing too...
thats the point! love to hear it
Nice presentation, looks good. I read that tossing the fish with kosher salt first, and then the acid, yields a really nice flavor and texture. Tight lines
thanks for the tip!
