Outstanding information Captain... Please post more combination of Rod/Reel/Line and hook...
My fav fishing channel, absolute awesome!
Thank you,. - Capt Mike
Love your gaffing technique Carlos, from the bottom up, my technique also. Most anglers go from top down, and in my opinion risk hitting the line/hook first, losing too many fish right by the boat ... love your videos.
Thanks again for another great video. All the great tips and knowledge that you share set the show apart from others. Keep up the great content. Thanks again!
Thank you. - Capt Mike
*We tried this out finally yesterday and it worked awesome! **enjoyable.fishing** recommend it’s we put it on our 16 foot aluminum boat and trolled with it. We didn’t catch anything but it was still fun and worked awesome! Can’t wait to use this baby again and hopefully reel in a big ole fish! Very easy to install and set up.*
Very helpful thanks

Great video guys!
Thank you for watching. - Capt Mike
awesome stuff
Thanks for being a fan! - Capt Mike
Enjoyed the content. I may have missed it but what is the depth and what do you see on the bottom or the chart that tells you this is a productive downrigger spot? Thanks
I was wondering how you rig that 4 foot clip on the downrigger do you split the downrigger cable or is there a way of attaching the cable clip to the wire without fouling it?
Love ur bids

Yoo when we going fishing im from miami. I got my stinger rigs ready! Lol
Bro great video but scotty high performance downriggers help you catch way more fish. You can reset and be fishing again in seconds. When the bite turns on you need the energy to fish not reel up a ball over and over again.
How do you keep a big fish out of all the other lines?
I see your using the seahorse manual downriggers. Would you recommend Cannon Digi trolls tournament series? The 1.1 retrieval on the seahorse model doesn’t sound like something I want to do over and over throughout the day. Fishing Florida to 100 ft depth for now.
Ive used both, if you're going to fish down riggers regularly, the Cannon electric is nice and certainly makes things more convenient. However with the way they are geared, the manual SeaHorses are very easy, completely portable and much more affordable. Both good options depending on what you're doing. - Capt Mike
Do you think my Lindgren Pitman could be Used as a down rigger if I spooled with 200lb braid?

Are you guys in the gear the entire time or bumping in and out?
In gear the entire time, even when fighting fish, however sloooooooooowwwwwww. - Capt Mike
Also what kind of guides do those rods have
SIC Guides.
What kind of blanks are those chaos rods made from
They offer glass, composite and graphite rods. Those are composite.- Capt Mike
I have a question I have cannon down riggers I have wire cable that came on it and it makes a humming noise and that's at one or two mph. will that effect getting a bite. I have 8lb wieghts on them thanks.
Im not a big fan of the cable at all, Instead, I would switch to 150-200 lb braid, it will be silent and your ball will fish deeper with less line out. - Capt Mike
The short stop feature on your cannon will not work with mono - it requires the electric current to detect when the weight is at the water's surface. Just an FYI.
How many goggle-eyes do you go out with to do slow trolling. Where do you get them - buy or castnet them?
We sometimes catch them if we have time, sabiki rigs in 50 to 500 ft, every night is different, and sometimes we purchase them, at least 3-4 doz for the day. - Capt Mike

Anchor commercial at 23:15 - If I caught that woman dragging that chain over my gunnel, her butt would be tossed in the water along with the anchor.
It was hard to yell at her. I tried. - Capt Mike
Haha!

You must have ran out of money. $300 manuel downriggers on a $300,000+ boat? That's like putting Wilson Ultra golf clubs in a TRECCANI MILANO golf bag!
I have a pair of electric Cannon downriggers also which are awesome, too, however make no mistake the manuals get the job done. Very light and easy to get on/off boat and they perform as expected. - Capt Mike
@@FloridaSportFishing Agree with Capt. Mike, keeping it simple is the way to go! I have the Magnum electric downriggers, no frills, just one up/down/neutral toggle switch.

all this downrigger / outrigger stuff is too complicated. I go fishing to have fun and relax. I don't want to be spending thousands of dollars on fancy gear and treating it like a serious job. There's a thousand different baits/ lures and ways to fish now, kite fishing? really? too much. Just my 2 cents.
Thanks James, sometimes it is best to just keep it simple. - Capt Mike
It’s really not complicated, just start with one and get the coordination down. Move on to more as your skills improve. More baits=more fish.
I always think the same thing as far as keeping it simple. Until I recently tried planers all I can say is wow it increased my catch rate a lot. Now I’m going to downriggers it can only get better in my opinion.
