What makes that cracky sound underwater?
I drove by a homicide scene on my way to work this morning and you are harvesting fish in key west, you guys are livin
yikes! we are trying!
I like how he respects what he has taken.
🙏🏻
KWW, the best thing about Monday.
haha glad you enjoyed it!
Another Great video from the “Gang”. The Captain, Madeleine and Will Clams
thanks for watching!
A video on fish ID would be cool...I know it just comes with experience but it's impressive how quickly you can tell what kind of grouper you're looking at, or what kind of snapper.
from years in the water with newbies I think it would be very beneficial!
TOTW!!!
I'd love that video!!! All about fish ID!!! Yes!!!
Freaking finally!!! I’ve been waiting since last Monday!!!!
haha thanks for tuning in!
Welcome back to Key West Waterman. . . "That sounds weird!" Cooking with Clams and Cannibis maybe❓️🤣 Now that's a channel I'd binge watch😆🏝🧜♂️
that DOES sound like a good channel
😂
First comment...Not my first LIKE by any means, Always brings me back to Florida...Thank you from Montreal!
haha love to hear it! thanks so much for tuning In! 🙏
You're awesome...Madeline also..... im kicking my own ass for ever leaving Florida!
haha don't think I could ever leave!
First, “NO bananas in the boat”, Now, it’s “throw the bacon in the boat!” Never heard of it before, but if it works, it works.
lol!
Gnight. I stayed up to watch the Pats game… Will resume in the morning…
haha thank you!
Both are great. The DJI looked better near the surface showing the fish. The color was more real with the DJI. I say you use whichever one you like the most. The DJI is lighter you said wearing on the mask. I like both cameras.
yea its a tough one! thanks for the feedback!
that's what I'm talking about,, zero waste,, good job man 🤜🤛
glad you enjoyed it!
Waste not want not... another good show. 👍
thanks for tuning in!
Another Great one. Thanks for bringing us along. Be safe.
thanks for tuning in!
LOL @ 13:15 or so!
"Is that a fish in your wetsuit, or are you just glad to see me?"
"OK, it's a fish! Whew!"
Yeah, really like the way you get max usage out of the fish carcass!
😂
Thanks for taking us along, I love the feeling of going to the bottom with you and looking at all the fish. I envy you. Stay safe and keep up with the videos
Same here
love to hear that, thanks so much 🙏
Your the best among the key west brother thanks for sharing. God bless.
thanks for tuning in!
The real estate you’re on really is premium. Wonder what’s gonna happen when hurricane comes righ over
its a nice place. and we have them almost yearly.
Great job captain
thank you!
The best way to learn is TOTW… “Time On The Water” Aaron could teach you everything he knows but if you lack experience then there’s nothing he can do to help you. Get out there and enjoy yourself! Take your time to learn and observe. Above all things do it safely! Good luck to everyone and thanks to Aaron for the awesome videos 🙏🏼🤙🏼💪🏼🙌🏼
well said! couldn't agree more
Sweet thanks 😊
thanks for tuning in!
Fish are curious. You probably know that if you rake the sea bottom, it can bring in curious fish. I saw Kimi Werner do that.
yup! works like a charm
NICE CATCH !!!!!!!!!!
thank you!
great fish preservation tips. never would have thought getting 2 weeks if I didn't vacuum seal which adds considerable cost over time. like idea of keeping on ice, plus sucks cleaning fish after long day on water!
happy to! glad you enjoyed it!
Enjoyed….good shooting. Thanks, Andrew
thanks for tuning in!
Its always great to be able to enjoy game that you have harvested, especially when its fresh. Thanks for taking us along.
nothing like it!
First. Ikejime. Secondly, a vacuum sealer is the equalizer. 100%! I think by population a third of the country doesn't live on the coast so freezing for many is a must do. Vacuum seal is the best option at home IMHO.
yea def recommend freezing for those without access to it fresh!
Sweet intro on the gheenoe
haha thanks for watching!
Aaron, always a pleasure when your videos pop up. I love the Keys just a beautiful place to be your so blessed..keep those videos coming brother. Happy Holidays to you..
love to hear that, thanks so much 🙏
Mangrove or dog snapper taste good on a roll, with a slice of pepperjack''Nice vid Aaron
agreed!
I know you don’t like to shoot the hogs but man that was a nice one. Would love more beginner spearo videos as I’m still learning. Love them all tho keep ‘em coming pls!
Haha def was. They are out of season now. More on the way!
Great video Aaron! Thanks for sharing
thanks for tuning in!
The drying tip was spot on.....I vacuum pack and the fillets don't have that fishy taste when I dry out the fillets!!😎👀🤿
helps a ton! thanks for watching!
I've struggled with this whole keeping fish fresh for some time, until i bought a good vacuum sealer! Problem solved!!
def helps!
A day i was diving...saw a really big black margate and den in the same hole saw an eye watching me..dog snapper eye...shot it in the eye and when i pull it out..weigh in at 9lbs.
thats a nice one!
Madeleine was just making sure u had a lil snack if you boys got hungry on the water. Id be grateful if my ol lady hid bacon in my rig for me to snack on. :D Loved the episode guys...keep em commin!
haha right!
I don’t know how realistic it would be to hit those lookdowns while spearfishing (they’re small and quick, but have a huge broadside profile), but if you can hit them with the spear, I’d take those nearly 100% of the time over snapper or grouper. They are absolutely delicious, and are non-regulated here in FL, so you can harvest enough for quite a few dinners. If you’ve never had them before, please try them. If you have tried them and don’t care for them, then more for me! 😜
I've heard the same thing but never taken the time to try them! will have to give it a go
@@KeyWestWaterman you won’t regret it. As a bonus, they’re super easy to clean, as you can just head/gut them, and cook them whole. You can filet the larger ones, although not really necessary. And don’t forget that huge chunk of meat on the forehead, just like a pompano 🍺
Lookdowns are Very tasty fish too.
have never tried them will have to give it a go
Nice fish videos awsome
glad you enjoy them!
I love the sustenance fishing/living is an awesome thing. I live in Michigan so I hunt and fill my freezer that way. I got a new boat to start walleye fishing this year on the Saginaw bay of Lake Huron.
its a good life!
Love the vids. Keep them coming so we can all live vicariously through yall
love to hear it! thanks so much
I use a salad spinner once I clean and dress everything be it hunting or fishing but then there spend the liquid off of it vacuum seal it stick it in the fridge or freezer depending how you want to keep it
love that!
Another great video
glad you enjoyed it!
damn good one Erin. A great shorty to end my day with . Happy Holidays
Aaron*, thanks for tuning in!
Balls of steel mate, my fear of sharks would prevent me from ever doing that, kudos to you.
haha they aren't so bad!
@@KeyWestWaterman unless you run up on a great white like Gabe’s brother did. That would cure me of wanting to dive for a while
Great video! Comment for the algorithm!
really appreciate it!
That shot you made on the second mangrove was crazy,I didn’t even see the fish, you got the skills to pay the bills.great video!
haha thanks for watching!
@@KeyWestWaterman sure thing
Still enjoying all the others stuff Yk 🔥🔥🔥🔥
love to hear it!
I cannot tell you how much I personally appreciate how you utilize the entire fish. People have given me a hard time in the past for scraping meat off carcasses or taking the collars but I can't stand the idea of wasting it. I'm jealous of you not having to freeze fish! Where I live its very seasonal so if I want to eat fish year round I have to stock up and freeze fish to get by.
we try to do it when we can! lots of good stuff left on there. and theres nothing wrong with freezing it, I've done it my whole life. just fortunate enough that we have access to it fresh year round now! 🙏
.....as usual good video an great info, appreciate all the tips🇹🇹
Thanks for tuning in!
Awesome brother the them videos
thank you sir!
Love the videos.
love to hear it!
Your Grunt means you are part fish from the incredible mr limpet! Lol!
lol!
Another great video in the books ! Ask that Texan if we can get a good recipe from the Long Star State lol. Y'all gotta be holding out on some kind of meal that originates from Texas 😆 . Appreciate the content as always !!
haha shes got plenty but none of them involve fish! 😂
@@KeyWestWaterman gotta be catfish , bass , crappie or something 🤣🤣
You always put out great videos. A perfect blend of action and education.
love to hear that, exactly what i'm going for!
Nice little trip . Love back country. Went to get shirts for grand kids sold out of blue.. Merry Christmas !!
Crap! Thanks anyway, merry Christmas!
@@KeyWestWaterman will get them when back in stock
Great Video! A lot of nice info!
glad you enjoyed it!
Sweet vídeo Capt.👍
thanks for tuning in!
Best content out there
🙏
Good content bro, still cant stop talk about your boat so unique, neva know it got storage on it for fish
haha love that thing! having another one built can't wait!
Let’s have some fun!
haha
The dog snapper also seem to have bigger jaws anda broaden head. Wouldn't have seen it unless you pointed out the other characteristics. 🤙
yea they do just a smidge but most wouldn't notice that!
much love from lauderdale
really appreciate it!
Another great episode. I am really loving the small boat, but I love the big boat also - the best of both worlds channel. Doing a great job. Thank you.
I love them both! just filming what I do as I do it! thanks so much 🙏
Appreciate showing knife placement when dispatching. Sometimes difficult to find the right spot.
absolutely!
Cheers from northern ca, ocean is 51 degrees and murked out from rain so I’m livin vicariously thru you guys. Glad to see you preaching the good word about respecting the fish you harvest all the way through the process. Come on out to the west coast and shoot a ling or a halibut
yikes no thank you! haha love to hear you enjoy the vids thank so much! def hope to get over there someday and check it out!
Thanks for my Monday fix. I look forward to them every week.

I would love to make a yearly trip down and do some spear fishing with you.
I’ll be here!
loved the bacon clip explanation lol, and it was cool seeing the crew and the wind chime was sooo.... relaxing to listen to while you prep the fish, hope y'all are doing well and take care until next time, stay safe, stay awesome out there y'all 🙂👋🙌
haha glad you enjoyed it! thanks so much!
@@KeyWestWaterman you are most welcome my brother from another mother 👋😊🙌
Great vid👊🏿
glad you enjoyed it!
Not much to look forward to on Monday, except your videos. Keep them coming.
love to hear it! 🙏
I forgot it's Monday!! Wooo KWW!
haha!
Thank you!!! The storage information was very helpful.
glad you enjoyed it!
I like the throw flasher trick, I hadn’t seen that before. Man, you make shooting mangroves look so easy… it’s maddening trying to hit them most of the time. Nice work!
haha they are a great fish to practice on! very shifty!
Keep up the awesome diving vids man they are so fire
love to hear it!
Thanks for the tips on keeping fish fresh for longer. Great day out!
thanks for watching!
I just got back from a trip to the Maldives where I did some of my first serious snorkeling! I have a new appreciation for your videos!!! Looking forward to more!
hear its beautiful over there! hope you had a great trip!
I invested in a vacuum sealer and use it to store my fish and wild game meat. It definitely keeps things fresher for longer.
yup! def helps if you plan to freeze!
Really excited about the Fish identification video! It’s always incredible seeing the different species in your videos! Aaron I always see you eating fish, do you ever eat chicken or beef? I bet it’s always nice harvesting your own food and not having to rely on supermarkets!
love to hear it! and yes we eat a decent amount of venison I get from my brother. chicken on occasion but not often.
Great video, its awesome how these episodes keep it relatable! somehow you make the videos with the skiff just as exciting as the deep water trophy fish episodes
Love to hear that! Just filming my life as it happens 🙏🏻
Aaron did u guys ever cook those trigger fish u shot? We caught/ cooked one the other day very firm fish but was super tasty! U and clams crack me up! Love watching u guys enjoy/love and respect the beautiful keys ❤
yea we did that was on life by the bows channel!
Way to go Aaron! Very good video!
glad you enjoyed it!
Haha👋 I'm sitting on my sofa nice and dry and watching you dive🐠🐠. Finding myself tilting my head to help you see better under those rocks 😂 How stupid is that lol!? Another splendid simple video! With a lot of thoughts from you, wonderful‼️ You dont need a fancy boat with 4 engines, that's for sure.
I like also that The Clam is back lol.
But what about those mermaids you found floating on the sea 😀⚘️!? You could of filmed them for 15 minutes lol.
Thank you again!
haha thats too funny love to hear it, means you're into it! thanks for coming along as always! 🙏
Appreciate the processing/storage info - definitely saving the racks for some tacos from my next outing!
absolutely it! thanks for tuning in!
El Niño (The Kid)!!!
haha thanks for watching!
Great video Dibs! Pretty sure I’ve said this before as your fish in Florida are quite different than ours in Atlantic Canada, so I can see the need for a video like that. I also would like to say that I think that you would be the perfect choice for that video with your demeanour, as you would be you and never potentially the condescending soul that some other ‘might’ be.
I really enjoyed how you broke down the fish for overall usage. Thank you!
haha I can imagine so! hope to get to see some of yalls fish some day! I really appreciate it! 🙏
u can make fish soup with the head it very good if u know how to make it growing up in the caribbean i'm from trinidad but live in canada
yup! we make soup with them all the time
I bet you felt like a kid in a candy store when you saw those mangroves I believe they’re your favs.
haha I really did
Great informative video on how to care for your catch. Thanks for sharing
thanks for watching!
Thanks for another ride along 🤙
Love all the information.
Impressive especially with the water clarity
thanks for coming along!
Aaron if you ever see a good size look down or moon fish pop it and give it a try. They are delicious and have more meat than you would think, they are delicious.
will have to give it a go! I appreciate it!
Idea for the future, when an episode drops maybe doing a livestream with comments on. Be fun to hear your thoughts, general comments to the episode and to the random questions/remarks that subscribers put in chat.
for the most part im on here answering all the comments when they come out, but ill have to look into that not sure how to do it to be honest lol
Fish racks make for good fish mousse.
will have to give that a try!
@@KeyWestWaterman if you back of a spoon separate the meat from rack you're halfway there plus you still have bones for stock.
A good fish spread starter that people normally toss.
