Good stuff Coach Malks! I love how you show us from different angles! Maybe down the line, you could make an advanced tutorial too! Some more stuff about shape, maybe with clips throwing to receivers (if it's easier, maybe just putting in a couple example clips of you or others in game). I'd love to hear your perspective on how angle control changes in different wind situations too, or on in cuts vs deep throws, putting it to space vs on an inside shoulder, or your thoughts on touch in different situations. No pressure; I'm loving this content and how much you're putting it out!! Thanks!
These are all wonderful ideas! I will certainly be making more advanced throwing videos down the road, and I hope to answer all of these questions then!
Hip action is essential, and you do it in the video. It is subtle because the motion is relatively slow versus our hand speed. The hip rotation is synchronous with the arm starting forward, and whips as you describe in the forehand episode. (I am not going to comment on all the vids Jonny…rest assured…just have a cold, taking time off today. And I like your work!)
@@JonnyMalks Being a UA-cam neophyte, does this message got to you and no one else sees it? I’d like to share D concepts which would require drawings and talking, but comments here don’t allow that and (being paranoid) don’t want to post my pers info here.
@@jaymacpherson8167 Sure, Jay! I'd love to talk about this stuff with you. The best way to do that would probably be over email so that other folks don't see it too. My email is jonnymalks@gmail.com - feel free to drop me a line!
Hi Johnny, thanks so much for making this content! I've got a tiny suggestion here for future vids. I'd love to see vids from a higher up camera angle using a tripod because I think it would make it easier to see the distance and shape of your throws. Also just wanted to thank you again for the content. I learned your grip is higher on the flight rings than it is for me and was impressed that your 20, 30 and even 60 yard throws look pretty much identical to me. You are the smoothest thrower I've ever seen. You make it look easy :)
Hi Jonny, in the video it looks like your index finger is splayed out quite a ways from the rest of your fingers. I'm not able to extend my finger this far and still put pressure on the inside of the disc. Are you able to grip the inside rim with that finger, or is it just resting on the outside of the disc?

I wish you would! We all appreciate your wisdom :)
