Thanks Rob. This is quite thorough. I have been having issues with my backhand, and the way you detail it in a step-by-step way will hopefully help me out. Thanks again
Great video:) But don't think it's a good idea to turn your head back with your body as you rotate unless it's on a huck or a pull.. Your eyes should always be on the field of play as there is so much movement second to second. You end up passing to opponent or open space.
Hey, I just joined the ultimate team like 1 week ago. My backhands have been just "okay" and my flicks have been pretty dang good. Is this normal? Also, i naturally flick with my right and backhand with my left, so now i have to switch my backhand to my right hand.
Thanks for the advice! But i think you got confused, i NATURALLY throw backhands with my left, and NATURALLY flick with right. U said backhand right, flick left. But i get ur point, thanks!
Honestly I can't aim. I got a DiscGolf basket recently and my flicks, hammers and thumbers have been good. But backhand, oh no. I can not aim. What can I do? (Also, I'm not getting enough distance on my hammers)
You have not covered the single most important aspect of backhands. The RELEASE! The grip, body, hips, arm, etc. etc. movements are all secondary to the pivot point of the fingers on the disk at the point/time of release.

+e²_837 I would throw with the hand that you naturally throw a baseball or football with.

***** Actually now after lots of practice and both are long and accurate now, thanks!
