Bought their first five albums while living in the UK 1982-84. Truly amazing group. Their jazz funk improvisational instrumentals have no equal on this planet.
@GarryWootton yes, that was technically their second album, but had a compendium of material they'd made before producing their first album with Polydor. Side 2 of Early Tapes is made of solid instrumentals. Side 1 is no slouch, though. The song Autumn (Paradise is Free) should have been released as a single.
Fan since they first came on the scene, remember taking a souvenir from the World Machine Tour concert in the form of a huge polystyrene cog. Happy days!

You Guys sound soooo good live I cant wait till next year , when I finally see you. Why only just over 900 likes people of young generation just havenrt discovered you that must be why such a great band I have all your albums on cd in the loft getting them out tomorrow..

I've always loved Mark's vocal on the outro of HIMH in this show. So much strength and depth and projection - and it's LIVE. Incredible vocal from 1:26:06 through to the end. He doesn't get nearly enough credit for how bloody good he is as a vocalist.

NO, ZERO, NILL, NADDA group is better than Level 42 imo, as a retired professional drummer, I cut my teeth on these tunes from the very beginning, I thank you and salute you, we are blessed. Btw, @34:23 Mark dedicates a song to 'All the wives'.... that is all about a woman getting left by her man.....LUV IT!! 💔
Such great stuff. My only complaint is that Nathan's guitar solos should have been a teeny bit louder in the mix. Nathan is a killer guitarist. In the other band he's in, Frost*, he's the bass player, and he's a killer bass player, too. Regardless. super glad this concert was posted. I've already watched it several times. Thank you!
Is time That the band makes another album. Without horns, Lindup+ Mark+ King maybe Husband or Gould. Minimal. Not the party time with the others guys on the back. Backing vocals of course. Than: Touring in Europe ❤ IMO
