I’m a massive Level 42 fan from the 80s and have never thought much about the percussion elements of their music until seeing this drummer bring them to life. It’s been about that Bass and Keyboards. Wow!
Level 42 have always had outstanding drummers. Phil Gould, Level 42's original drummer was widely regarded as great pocket drummer. Since then they have Gary Husband, Gavin Harrison (for a bit) and Pete Ray Biggin who are all awesome.
I wonder how many people actually understands what a Good SINGER Mark King is and always was!!? He is known as a good bass player! But he’s an even better singer, Singing is his strength!!

@@drummerboyharm3078hi. I like it very well! He is one of my ten favorite bass players but I don't like his sound on this live. And I'll go to see and hear level 42 in Monaco this next 27th of November. I play bass since I was 15 (i'm 66 now) and discovered this fantastic band in the 80th's...
Drummer is a bit too busy on those classic songs, namely Something About You, and Lessons in Love..We get it, you went to a prestige music college, practiced 15 hrs a day, but yet can't keep the original groove easy and smooth. Millennials..smh..
I love Level 42’s music. But it’s a shame that at 44.29, Mark’s voice is hearted, but he is not actually singing?? Groups need to be careful about this happening.
Pete on drums??? Nice drummer. However, do you have to fill every space with a chop?? Too busy, like 98% of drummers today. Let those great songs breathe, Brav.
Mark King doesn’t agree with you, otherwise Pete wouldn’t have the gig. I read your comment prior to listening to the set and I have to say Pete is very tasteful & executed his fills without clashing with vocals or other lead instruments.
@@CB-DWI Agree with that Sir!! I’m just an old school fan, since the beginning , who thinks Phil is one of the best and most underrated drummer on the planet! The band moved on with Gary Husband, who is also a very “busy” drummer, but I dig him, Pete is awesome aswell! The band wants a modern sound to attract a new younger audience , this is how music sounds today, Mark was always a very “busy” bass player himself so he likes that! Cheers!! 🍻

They are tighter than a gnats ass! And how Mark King can sing AND play some of those bass lines is beyond me
Totally agree
What a great drummer Pete Ray Biggin is!!
Pete Ray Biggins is one heck of a drummer!! He and Mark are super tight together.

Just a fantastic band! Thank you for sharing!
Love the drummer.
Too good:) King is killin´ it.
Amazing performance! Awesome recovery at 20:12 on the backing track getting stuck and behind ;p
Really nice not-too-generic festival set, this. Dream Crazy sounds great with the full horn section and that's a lovely version of Children Say.
One of my favourite bands. Thank you. ❤ I need to see you next year.
Drums !!
Epic groove and tasty
Thank you up loding!From Japan!
Mark hadn’t come back to Jaydee basses yet. Love his Jaydee sound over Status 😏
Backing vocals are great.
Great Mix, great horns!
I was there
Phil had a tough pocket to cop this cat overplays
Pete on the drums.. 👌🏻👌🏻😮
Too good
The man with the golden thumb, do not try this at home! 🤤
Still very good 🎶🎶🎶
Greatest Pop Band Ever❤
Brit funk band. Get facts straight.👍
Клёвая компания!
Where's the bass??🤨
Green thumb.
Very good concert but I don't like the sound of the bass. Very best before.
Is a diferent bass thats the reason
Do understand Slapping a bass... 🤷🏾♂️

My guess is that he has Mark and Mike's approval... and mine too, for what it's worth - superb drummer...
@@erpece he does - mark allows him to play as much as he likes
Phils time and pocket were really good this cat is not really a good fit way too many chops displays over nailing the pocket

No you’re wrong four people are singing at The same time!

Hi there! I appreciate your opinion. You stick to it! - However - YOU are completely wrong! Cheers! 👍🏽
noooooooooooooooo! il volume del basso! si sente troppo poco.
Il pop si sente fortissimo rispetto al thumb. Troppe frequenze medie...
terrible bass sound, there should be a law against it
