- Today we make a dress for a Disney Princess but dark. A goth version of Cinderella. Little pumpkins, velvet vines and a lot of glitter.

I don't think that's considered a corset, it's just a bodice. a corset supports and shapes, a bodice is just the top of a dress.
The 1950 movie star version was my favorite. The way the skirt moved was hypnotic.
UA-cam algorithm said "Here. You'll like this." And man were they so right. You're so funny! And the dress came out amazing!!!!
So fun to watch as well as catch phrases like "you can't see blood on black velvet" when she pricked her finger! She "makes do" when she needs a fabric or whatever. Old costumes and household decor does not escape her clutches. Clever seamstress! Dress is pretty too and video effects eye catching.
She said “I love the fact that I have a basic need for glitter”. 🤣 🤣 🤣
I love the end. The hair! The makeup! The comedy!
I love that it's so we'll made, it's so dark and elegant lol and no one would ever suspect your little secret that Batman's on the inside. 😂
For that authentic dark Disney touch, you should have had some singing bats and rats help you sew :D

When i was a kid I got obsessed with this japanese animated version of swan lake. The princess Odile had this gorgeous black ballroom dress and i was in love. This brought it all back, absolutely stunning!
HOLY girl, with the wig and makeup I got immediate Miranda Richardson as Lady Van Tassel vibes. Totally awesome with the dress.

I heard that humans love things like glitter, polka dots, and sprinkles because of our desire for abundance. Lots of little things spark joy.
Combined with the sparkley water argument, glitter is starting to sound like a necessity!

As well as a dark Cinderella, this would make an excellent costume for The Witch in 'Into the Woods' once she regains her youth.

I am absolutely in awe of your extreme talent. I’m an artist . I can draw, paint and I make jewellery and I watch this and I can’t believe you can do this. I am terrible at sewing and this is beyond talented. Unbelievable!
Oh. 😹 I do patchwork quilting rather than dressmaking, but I FELT the frustration in the "I won’t say I forgot, but.... eeeeh." 😹 also, aaaaallll the pins for just one seam, to keep it from shifting out of place! And there’s a reason I use spray on fabric glues rather than pins for quilting. I still say my first quilts used to exact a blood price for making them. XD but I love this, it’s absolutely amazing, not to mention gorgeous! When I think of all the hours you must have put into hand sewing the front, though... 😮 all I can say is your poor fingers!!!
The dress reminds me of a gown my mom wore to a charity dinner dance in LA, she had collected it in NYC as it came from Paris and it was the most amazing dress ever.
