Let them eat cake! But with some cheap wedding decorations.
I will be doing a very fantasy 18th century Rococo dress with a lot of pink plastic stuff. Is it tacky ? YES.
Sewing an historical dress with cheap materials was a challenge but it was so much fun an I hope you will enjoy the 80s Marie-Antoinette reveal at the end. The design was a watercolor by the Japanese artist Sakizo.
❤️Thanks for watching. I love making costumes and cosplays and hope to share a lot more about the sewing process, tell me what you think !

Congratulations!!!🎊🍾🎈🎉
So happy for you! You'll be a full timer in no time, you're amazing!
So excited for you!
Wonderful! Congratulations, getting your first sponsor is a huge step!!
Can't pin point why... But I enjoyed this video less than your others... I'm sorry.
This dress is the most obnoxiously ridiculous thing in the most magically wonderful way!!! It's definitely the best thing that could have happened to that post-wedding-decor fabric. I love it so much!!! 💜💜💜💜💜
You have such a beautiful name!
@@LaineyBug2020 Thank you so much!! You do too... 😁
15:36 What a flex to have Bernadette Banner as a patreon!
Amazing dress!
I sent the Eau de Javel part to my sister who is training to become a professional translator and she cracked up laughing xD
I am rather intrigued and concerned about what that wedding looked like. What you turned the decorations into is fantastic! I think the purple and the color work you did balances out the pink very well. I would enjoy seeing your painted dress idea come to life too.
Congratulations on your first sponsor.
Thank you! I am adding this project to the list!
Poor, demonetized pocket. xD It is like magic how you turned all those tacky materials into such a dreamy dress. The world needs more of these cost calculations that factor in the actual amount of labor at a living wage.
Make the inside green and youtube will leave it
Amazing! Though I wish I could see the dress more up close in the reveal; so many of the shots were far away and with the blurry filter
Thank you ! I'll post pictures on instagram with close up details, unfortunately the weather was too sunny, it ruined a lot of good shots. (And my unpaid camera guy aka partner in crime lacks a bit of training)

Would absolutely be lovely to see more closeups of final projects in the reveal edits! 😍 Some of them like this & the Dark Cinderella gown have so much amazing detail, would love to luxuriate in it a little at macro range 😋
That was immensely satisfying!
"Could these pockets get me demonetised?" Hahahaha lololol 🤣
I was thinking the circles looked like flower pizzas but then you stuffed them and they looked like hydrangeas. You are so clever!
Thank you for making that calculation! And it didn’t even include the pattern making and fitting to a customer.
Amazing work, wish I could see more of the detail after the paint and bleach in the reveal.
I love how you frolic and play in the dress and not just glide along the paths.. it shows how well one can move in such dresses.
I honestly thought it should be much more! 8-10k seems reasonable for 100 hours of this very skilled work
Your ability to make even cheap plastic materials look good is really impressive.
Congratulations for having the first sponsor! Really hope that you will have enough offers to make an income you deserve for your amazing videos!
Thank you so much!
This looks amazing! Frankly, after watching the first part, I wasn't very confident in the outcome... I'm sorry I doubted you : this is everything!
The way you dyed/hand-painted the fabric to make it look more like watercolours on a canvas is very inspiring! I'll have to try that myself!
I'd loooove to see this dress in person.
Thank you so much, honestly i was in doubt too. Trust the process !
This dress is so ridiculous. I love it. Instant mood booster. 😂
As someone who always wanted to make a Sakizou costume (Gentleman Amethyst) and have had materials for years, this is motivating me to actually sew him
Seeing you use exactly that IKEA cushion for wadding makes me feel semi-pro because that's where I get mine from too XD
Thank you for including realistic labour costs.
Love this ridiculous project!
For this painting idea, Morgan Donner has a great video tye-dyeing a white chemise a la reine rainbow, maybe it I'll help!
The second life of the Rapanzel dress is unbelievably magical!! 😍
Congrats for the dress, the dog and the sponsor.
I absolutely love the idea of painting on top of finished garments with dye and bleach! Damn, I might have to try it out now 😂
Aw man! I was waiting for you to pull something out of the wig! 😂
My lunch was there.
@@HazarielAtelier That's hilarious! Thanks for making such great videos! Your skills are amazing!
A corgi that speaks/understands French -
just awesome 👏
You shamelessly used the cuteness of this Corgi to your advantage.
Well Madam,
Well played.
It worked lol
the finished ensemble is [chef's kiss]! what really puts it over the top is the bleach-water-dye "watercolor" effect you made to finish the gown. amazing how much depth it gives!
You are causing me a lot of problems (in a good way). I've never been a fan of 'floof' much prefering simple plain things but you make them look so much fun. Add in that I'm more used to a hammer and nails than needle and thread and I admit I was a bit confused by why I enjoyed this creation so much. After a bit of reflection I think it is down to the style of your videos - lots of humour mixed in with instruction and explanation of everything.
This video also ties in quite nicely with Platinum Jubilee celebrations in UK this weekend thanks to the visit from your Paris friend and her lovely corgi - I wouldn't have been able to get anything done as I can't resist a dog asking for a belly scratch!
I'd also like to see your 'painted dress' project - that could be handy for me in my attempts to learn bookbinding.
I love your editing style. : D Your projects are so fun!
Thank you so much !
This was an incredible project - when you cut out little holes to simulate lace I audibly gasped, that could be a useful trick for me for stage costuming! Incredible
congrats on your first sponsor!
the dress is AMAZING!
This is glorious, the most ridiculous dress I've ever seen but it somehow still looks fabulous in the end!
I feel like I can see the ghosts of projects past with those blue stains on the ironing board! I'm guessing that's moraine? 😂
The Stained Ajah -_-
Omg it's horific but I love it!! The vibe at the end was fantastic, great editing as always! Your silly personality really shines in this costume! :D
Thank you so much :)
L'organza est le tissus de mes cauchemars, cette méthode de finition est géniale! J'aimerais me faire un costume de fey (moins fée clochette, plus feywild) et j'ai maintenant une réponse à tous mes problèmes Merci 💖💜💖💜
Many of us envision the finished product, but few have the ingenuity, patience, and "stash" to bring them to life! Congratulations on this fun and floofy confection, your first sponsor, and progress towards fulltime youtubers! Love watching and listening to you work! The music at the end made me think of Ok Go.
Congrats on the first sponsor!! And thank you for uploading part two so quickly, the end product just looks gorgeous
You went so hard it went from plastic to fantastic. You turned wedding trash into treasure. Amazing work.
I loved your color adjustments! So creative, I never thought of adjustment, after a garment is finished. Would love to see you painting a cotton dress!
I feel like this is something Grimes would wear. Any of your creations really. Absolutely stunning!
Oh wow, so epic!!! The flower poofs and the color changes are clever. You are so skilled! 💗💗
Thank you
"Will these pockets get me demonotized?" LOL
The dress is stunning with the watercolour painting
Halloween costume-quality fabric somehow yields a decidedly non-Halloween costume-quality dress. You are phenomenal.
Commenting for engagement and more sponsors! Go get that UA-cam life! Also thank you for doing the scratchies. It’s important. ETA: I want more close-up shots of the finished dress please! Amazing work. It’s so pretty!
You are so darn talented, creative and skilled! You also seem very methodical and patient, but I guess that part could also be achieved by clever editing 🤭
The dress is stunning! Only using the fabric petals and avoiding the plastic parts was a really smart choice and I hope I will remember that trick if I ever want to use fake flowers to make anything myself, and to use watered down acrylic paint when dye wouldn’t work - genius!
I love rococo fashion it's so over the top and outragious for no reason but it's so fun. Truly the Barbie of the 1700s.
congrats on getting a sponsor, your channel is seriously underrated
That soldering iron trick is game changing, I can see myself using that all the time!
OH GOSH THIS IS THE CASTRIES CHATEAU ! SOUTH OF FRANCE !!
Dang, I'm impressed how something so disgustingly hideous turned out so super gorgeous at the end! It's the Lisa Frank dress of my 8yr old dreams!
Omg the use of the dye and the bleach for the final colour touch up was genius! It really pulled it all together! And looking like the drawing too. As well as the painting of the flowers. Really stunning work!
This is the kind of dress 5 year old me could only DREAM of
Sometimes, the most ridiculous projects are the most fun! This one definitely shows your skill and mostly your sense of humour. Love it!
This is ridiculous! (In the best possible way.) I hope you have cold drinks in the huge pockets against all the plastic heat :D
The tiny little giggles after the 'balls' are giving me LIFE hahaha
This was amazing!! So much fun and super creative. Thank you for sharing.
I love love LOVE this dress and it's a pleassure watching you making it!! thank you for your videos, I really hope you'll get more sponsores soon so you can do YT fulltime! you REALLY deserve it!
going to share this awesome video with my friends
Vielen Dank !
Congratulations on your first sponsor (very cool).
This is absolutely amazing, you’re just so clever 🙂
I’d really love to see this close up in person from the top to the bottom. I’m sure it would be even more amazing.
Scratches for the corgi 🙂🐿
P.s great idea using the soldering iron on the cuffs, it looked so effective ✅
Hi-drain-jerzz 🙂👍🏻
You always get it right the first time you say it 👏
Believe in yourself ❤️🌈
It's so over the top, and it's so beautiful!!! Thank you for sharing this adventure with us 😍😍 I was very scared when you mentioned bleach, but it worked so well!!
This came out sooo beautiful i loved especially the part with the bleach and dye. It made it perfect!! Love it. Hope you can do yt full time in future love your creativity
Working hard on this :) Thank you !
I love the over-the-top romantic ethereal designs by Sakizou! It was really neat seeing how you made it with cheap fabrics, but the bleaching and the dying to get that watercolor effect was what elevated the project. I hope to make my own Sakizou costume someday, and your ideas will be helpful when I do!
This has to be one of the fluffiest dresses ever made.
Usually I can't stand listening to narration, but your gorgeous French accent makes it enjoyable. Cheers ✌
I am an avid costumer, and this dress is incredible. It's preposterously over the top and it looks like something that could only exist in a drawing. It could go in a flower shop window, or a music video!
This would have taken me a year!!
It was definitely worth the wait, I love the creativity you showed with the materials you used. We’ll done.
Hearing you try to remember and pronounce the word 'homogenous' is so relatable. Chemistry in sophomore year didnt manage to burn it into me lmao
It's bloody ridiculous...I love it...
yoo i spotted bernadette banner in the patrons, also man- that dress ended up looking awesome
Number one: congratulations for your sponsor. Number two: your pronunciation is wonderful! Number three: this creation is FANTASTIC!!! Number four: you’re so funny!!!
Congrats on the sponsor! Always get hyped when you uploaded a new video and I'm looking forward to the future projects / awesome creations :)
I had my doubts with the original color of the fabric..but the dress turned out so beautiful!
To your point of wanting to use a garment as a "canvas" for a painting... I've got an old wool long dress coat that I want to saturate with CEMENT and make freestanding as a sculpture... then hope moss grows on it. maybe you can make a garment and cement it, then paint it?
An entire white garment painted with diluted fabric dye to look like a watercolor painting… THAT’s A WONDERFUL IDEA!!!
I don’t know how to sew, so *I* won’t be taking on such a project anytime soon, but I love the idea nonetheless 😅
little like? noooo. GINORMOUS LIKE
First sponsor! So happy for you! You're work is phenomenal
Thank you !
And it's only getting better! 💖😍
A lot of Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoniette vibes. I live it 😄
Thank you
I'm in awe of people who can stick to drawn out complicated projects.. my adhd could never. Also, this dress gave me such a dopamine boost, i wanna eat it 💗
The painting technique really gave the dress life. It looks fantastic!
Totally respect your seamstress skills. My Grandmother was a seamstress and could make anything.
It turned out wonderful! I cant wait to see the upclose shots on your Instagram!
Yes ! i just need to sort them out and make a new post :)
I love the final dress! It's like a plastic watercolor cupcake in the best possible way! Mad props for giving that horrible fabric a second (and more beautiful) life!
I think today is one of those depression days where I’m just insanely angry and jealous of people with immense talent lmfao this is absolutely stunning and I wish I could be like you
The water color effect on the fabric was so cool! I love your idea of painting a white, finished garment with a similar effect!
14:04 I laughed way too hard at this. "Uh, will this pocket get me demonetized?"
Marie Antoinette with glasses 😍🥰😘
if Bridgeton played in the rococo area! Amazing!!
This came out so extremly good. I'ts kind of making me want to make some 18th century dresses.
Go for it 🌷🌹
That dress turned out pretty magical for such tacky material!
I have one thing to say: absolutely GORGEOUS.
The UA-cam algorithm just blessed me with this video. This is the most ridiculous, over the top and amazing dress I have ever seen and I LOVE IT. I like to watch historical sewing videos but I am delighted with this. The project seems so fun and a great use of sewing skills. What's the point of sewing if you can't make an extravagant dress? Also, I love the accent. I have family in France (92, 93 and 94). I just don't write in French because I'm terrible at it. Bisous du Portugal :D
I would absolutely love to see you make a crazy costume in white fabric, and then paint dye on it at the end! That would be so fun and cool!
I love the detail of the mask dropping down like when the stewardesses do the show and tell on a plane.
Please remember to out your own mask on first, before putting the mask on your Paris friend 😜
What a perfectly petable Parisian Puppers!
This video is even better than the last! It is totally amazing how you handeled all the flowers and turned tacky materials into the most amazing gown. The idea to use paint and dye to achieve a water color effect is soooo good. I will definitely try dying fabric flowers myself, thank you very much for the inspiration. You are fantastic!
It’s gorgeous! Amazing job! But your friend’s dog stole the show! He he. He’s adorable.
I just made a dress with ruffles three days ago… had I watched this three days ago I would’ve known pinking shears existed =_=
It’s so gorgeous like omg I can’t-
Wow, I'm speechless 😍 so much work! Turned out amazing! 😍 Congrats on the sponsorship! 💚
Thank you so much !
The balls part made me laugh so much, felt like a middle school student
I learned the soldering iron trick from a friend who was making dance flags! With those, it keeps the flag more fluid than using seams. I was so excited when you pulled it out.
LOOK AT YOU! GET THAT SPONSORSHIP! YES!
The tie dye in a rococo dress is very interesting
Cheers to your first sponsor! You deserve it!!!!
I can only wonder if the original artist will see this dress and what they would think of it lmao, is so wonderfully over the top!
AND WAS THAT A MADAFACA JOJO REFERENCE???
Girl, now I need to see some Jojo cosplays in this channel (only half joking lol)
