i have to agree, its gonna get you money for a bit but ultimately it can be a bit annoying with how quick the trend caught on and the varying levels of quality these livestreams get. they definitely arent for me so im glad that i havent seen any of this till this video lol
I am here for your videos and being able to say "I've been here when he only had 5000 subs", your channel is great! I am sure it will get much bigger over time
hey, just popping in to say i love your commentary! it’s super well put together and entertaining at the same time ^^ i like to play your videos while drawing as something to listen to on the side :-)
I dislike this trend so much, and I wished many understood that even if it is correct that parents should be more watchful of their children’s digital footprint, kids are crafty… Does anyone remember the days when Facebook was just gaining popularity and schools attempted the block the site, only for every pre-teens to later learn that they can just adjust their DNS and presto. This is why we, as adults, have to understand that necessary layer of protection when it comes to NSWF material. It’s not that we don’t want to approve of sex positivity, we just have to select our platforms more wisely for NSFW content. Platforms like IG, Facebook, Twitter and TikTok are full of minors and were not designed to be a platform that facilitates NSFW content. That’s my take on weather or not NSFW content should be permitted on social media: long answer shortened, yes - but select your platform wisely. As for weather Pinkydoll’s content caters to indecent people or not, I personally think it’s subjective and also think it is unfair to pick on Pinkydoll because she happens to have gone viral compared to the Japanese NPC idols. The reason I say that this type of content is subjective is because not all those who make these donations are indecent people. I’m sure that there are perverts, but I also think that there is a demographic who want that parasocial relationship. It’s like idol worshipping where you know it is one-sided but you are so caught up with their existence and everything they do. I don’t know if you know Aini, but she covers on the topic of idolisation of celebrities and parasocial relationships in Asian media. It’s very interesting and has taught me that people cope with loneliness or just obtain satisfaction in various methods that are perplexing. Whether that’s good or bad for human evolution, I have no idea and almost feel no need to decide what’s good or bad yet because of how ever changing trends are on the Internet. As long as no children are purposely at harm, I think it is important to just be observant and just ignore what we don’t like instead of policing someone’s personhood.
