Wanted to give you guys a big thanks! Just completed a two week trip one week each in Gulf Shores and Ft. Morgan. Implemented many of the techniques I’ve watched on your channel with great success. Caught Spanish, Flounder, Trout, Whiting and 50”Blacktip shark on a spoon. Also got to see the new store. Keep up the great work.

Are bucktails not common to use for beach fishing? In NY you have to have one with you plus a gold Diamond jig.

Hey Beach Bum (and fellow BBB subs) I need suggestion on gear. I have four Penn Spinfisher 4000 reels and four Penn Spinfisher 6000 reels that I purchased as combos several years ago. I love the reels but the Spinfisher rods that came with them are total junk. I've broken two of them where they join together, one broke while reeling in a 20 lb ray and the other broke a few day ago while casting a double drop with a 3 oz weight. I mostly surf fish but I have recently acquired a 1700 Sportsman Key West center console that I will start fishing from. I'd like to find a rod that has a somewhat stiff spine but has a light enough tip to see the softer bite, something good for both surf fishing and in the boat. Not looking for cheap but inexpensive would be great since I want to replace all of the rods. Any suggestions and links if you can provide them would be appreciated.

Matt your videos are great and your enthusiasm is a special treat. Surf fishing hookups are like Christmas morning you never know what present has been given to you. A suggestion to freshwater fishermen, your freshwater lures will catch saltwater fish. I've caught kings on a Baby O.

You used to be more respectful of the fish you caught but you’ve changed. Throwing fish back is not mu cup of tea when you are close enough to the water to PLACE the fish back in its environment.
