Imagine if this game literally had all the stuff from the previous battlefield games added into it eventually in the Portal game mode I would be so damn happy but they're probably not going to do that since well why would you probably going to bring them although it will bring up sales of one game battlefield 2042
So 1942 stuff does make me excited. But I'm curious about how many servers will run the ''1942 experience" that matches my nostalgic feelings. This, I feel, is an issue. They should've just stuck to a simple formula and create a new Battlefield game. That way, everyone plays the same game and shares the experience.

i kinda disagree with your point comparing firestorm and portal. Portal gives you the tools to create your own experiences so it will be up for the community to support those experiences. So if the community likes a certain experience they can also tweak it themselves instead of waiting for the devs. you can also change damage values, sprint speed, ads time, bullet velocity so u can basically make a whole gun overhaul if you don't like the stock gun balance. this is why people still play project reality up to this day
I didn't care for 2042 before the portal trailer. But if I can recreate bc2 I will definitely jump in assuming they don't add a million macro transactions, go woke, insult the player base again, or release broken. I will watch with caution and interest and wait and see how the launch goes down.
Add zombies to Battlefield with survival maps and zombie co-op campaign. Everyone would enjoy mowing down the zombies in a fortified place to see how much waves they can survive or play Zombie CO-OP campaign with friends going through destroyed places that give off apocalyptic vibe. Yes,i shat on whole BF's purpose,but i feel like we need a little bit of change?
Not sure but all I know is that there's going to be modern tanks and fighter jets over Verdun in the Germans are going to have g36s and the French going to have their surrender rifles

What incentive do developers have to create custom game modes with this new tool, other than to fix EA's lackluster game?
